The greyish, blueish, ebony, silver form of the middle neophyte age femme stood just outside the alphess's den. Blueish pools glimmered with some odd emotion. Opening velvety maw femme dared to call out in her melody voice. "Mist. May I enter?" Her question was simple. She scraped her pearly claws on the ground anxiously. She'd just eaten a rabbit she had caught. She'd said goodbye to no one. Only Mist would know she was leaving. The young femme had made her decision at the gathering last night, but thought it would be more fair if she left after. Not wanting to cause more hassle amoung the packs.

Mist had returned from the gathering an hour before, and had headed straight for her den. She'd stumbled on the way out of the clearing, and her cough was getting progressively worse. She'd already lost one life to the sickness, and now she was in danger of losing a second. Not to mention that all of the other packs had seen her failing strength. If they were attacked now, Mist knew she would lose a life. A call came from the front of her den, a sound Mist recognized. She glanced up, eyes resting on the young, tormented wolf. She'd known for a long time that the young'un would never stay here for long. Mist felt glad that she had at least attempted to protect Destiny's child, but also understood that it was now time for the young fae to protect herself, wherever her path led to. "Yes, you may enter," she answered, voice hoarse.

The fae's auds perked forward to catch the hoarse call of Mist's voice. She cringed, the alphess had been hit hard by the disease. Regaining her composure youn femme padded into the den. Tail held at half mast, auds perked, eyes storming with too many emotions to make any sense. As femme caught sight of her alphess crown was lowered until nearly touching the ground in a bow of respect. Then she pulled her head back up so she could look at Mist as she spoke. For several moments femme said nothing. Then words spilled from her maw. "With your approvel, it's time for me to leave. I am forever greatful to you, Mist, for taking me into the ranks of the Sheerans. I have completed half of my lupus proeliator training here. Yet, this is not home. So it's time I moved on, made a life for myself. Whatever happens, happens." Sky pools gazed at Mist. Akaira herself only had a cough, nothing more. Yet.

Mist regarded the neophyte in silence, studying her through pained pools. After a few moments, she slowly nodded. "I knew you would not find a permanent home here, but I am glad you stayed for the while you did. Wherever you go, Akaira, may the seasons light your path," she woofed kindly. A mixture of sorrow and hope swam through Mist's conscious. Akaira had learned much, and still had much more to learn, but she had a good start. She could learn the rest from the wild, and the seasonal divinities. However, she feared for the daughter of Destiny. The world was a harsh and cruel place, unforgiving and downright hellish at times. She sent up a silent prayer to the realms above to guide Akaira, and to protect her from harm. Redfang....watch her. You are warmer than Verlust ever was....and you are our ancestor. Protect the young daughter of Destiny and fill her path with light. "Farewell, Akaira."

Young femme bowed her head once again to the respectful alphess Mist. Paws carried her, backwards, out of the den. As Mist's form disappeared from view the light of fading stars caught on her own pelt. As she stood outside her former alphess den, she turned her eyes to the sky. Then back to the den. "Farewell Mist." Femme turned and padded through the camp. Straight through the middle. "Farewell Sheerans." Her many colored peltage disappeared from the camp. Femme quickly picked up speed. Dancing in swift and precise movements across Sheeran territory. After a while, femme reached the edge of the terra. She paused. Raising her maw to the heavens she parted her velvet lips to let out a long, beautiful, melody of a wolfsong. A song of farewell, and a song to mark the beginning of a new life. Her own life.
