A flash of dark blue-black fur flitted between the aged trunks of the oak trees making up the Oak Forest. Paws beat in a nearly silent rythem as the femme ran, weaving between trees, ducking branches and leaping over knots of roots. The ivory crescent on her brow stood out against her dark fur, silvery eyes showing she was kin to Sirius. Her small light form came from her mother and it was obvious she was about as large as she would get, small and slender, light on her paws like her mother, Aliya. Some would call her and her brother Prince and Princess of the Destinians but the pack ranks didn't work that way and it was only something other pups had called Skysong when she'd been a pup just to tease her about her parents being high ranking.
Now however, Skysong felt about as low as she could go as she sprinted through the chilly forest. Though she felt a little rejected by Kunai's odd behavior, she tried not to show it. What he was going through was his business, not hers. If he didn't want her help then she wouldn't offer it. For now she was just trying to run off some steam so she wouldn't think about it but here she was, thinking about it while she ran.
A fallen tree blocked her path, seeming to come out of nowhere. Skysong yelped and hurriedly leapt. She didn't jump high enough and her paw caught in a branch. The branch cracked and broke, Skysong tumbling to the ground and rolling a few times before coming to a stop, laying on her belly. Groaning slightly, Sky sat up and winced. Her back paw was starting to swell, her hind foreleg cut by the branch and a bit twisted.
"Great" Skysong muttered sourly, sitting up and wincing again. "This just isn't my day...."

[shadow=Blue,left,300]Kunai had to make a choise, a choise that would have to save the pups from dying right in front of his face. He had to tell the Alpha that his brothers and sisters were going to go a seperation. That was done now and now another brick fell down on his wall of hope. It was that they were his family and that was what kept him from going farther into the darkness.
He knows that he needs to say sorry to Skysong from barking at her and runnning away with his madness. Kunai couldn't take it that time. First it was his mother, then it was Destiny, and then it was Jen, his back-stabbing, loving mother of the six pups and him. The orphan didn't know what to do. Kunai had way too many nightmares and it almost controled him.
The orphan heard a tree snapped and hit the ground. Then he heard a yelp from someone. Kunai sniffed the air and knew it was Skysong. It was the prefect timing sorta in a way to tell her that he was sorry. Kunai couldn't afford someone to hate him over a nightmare. His life was full of nightmares and he remembered Midnight, was it that one pup's name. Midnight, yeah it was. That was the only good thing that came out of it the first nightmare he had.
Kunai ran toward where Skysong's scent came from and saw her muttering something to herself. "Well it isn't my day either Skysong. Could we talk though?"[/shadow]

Skysong flicked an ear in Kunai's direction as she pushed herself up, balancing on three paws, her hind foot held off the ground. Cool silver eyes landed on the other neophyte and a slight smile curled on her velvet maw. There wasn't any real emotion in the smile or in her gaze, just a calm neutral expression her father had mastered and passed on to her. Skysong limped past Kunai and grabbed several leaves off a fern and sat down, biting the leaves and rubbing them on her cut foot. As she did this, Sky glanced up at Kunai. "What do ya need?" she asked, voice muffled a bit by the leaf she was holding. The juices from the leaf would help the swelling on her foot.

[shadow=Blue,left,300]Kunai already knew that Skysong was strong, she didn't need to prove that. He looked at her silver eyes. "I need to say that I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything. I needed help, I just didn't want to admitted. Because of that, my nightmare gotten worse from before I ran away. I don't want to loose a friend and now my family is gone now, do you forgive me?" The neophyte asked her. He looked at her leg that was off the ground. ]"Do you want me to get anything, water? Anything?" He asked another question.[/shadow]

Skysong rolled her eyes and stood up again, once more balancing on three paws. "I'm fine Kunai, I just twisted my paw a little when I missed the jump." Skysong flicked her tail toward the fallen oak she had failed to jump completely. "Besides, I doubt you're healer neophyte material, I'll be ok" Sky teased, limping back toward the path she'd been running along. The blue-black she-wolf glanced back at Kunai and smiled slightly, ears flicking slightly. "You haven't lost all your family, you know that right?" she asked as she continued walking.

[shadow=Blue,left,300]Kunai laughed when Skysong teased him. "Yeah I know Sky, you basically my family now, I'm most likely going to have to stay with you guys," He told her while looking down. The neophyte-orphan moved his head up toward her. "I don't know which ones of my bothers and sisters are in what pack I only know that they arn't in this pack anymore. I don't know what to say about that."[/shadow]

Skysong turned and looked at Kunai, her gaze sharp now. "Kunai...my father seperated them to protect you" Skysong said, her eyes sharp but her tone a bit softer. "Don't worry about them Kunai. Your siblings'll be fine. They're in different packs but the femmes in those packs are just as loving as the ones in our pack that care for pups." Skysong had an idea of why Sirius wouldn't tell Kunai what pack each pup was in and she could see the sense in his actions. Kunai would however, eventually figure it out if he knew the pups well enough. Hopefully if he didn't focus on it for too long he'd soon forget or at least not remember what each pup looked like. If they were lucky, small changes while the pups grew would protect them from finding each other and causing a loyalty mixup in the packs.

Kunai sighed. "Sky, I'm the one who had to seperate them, I didn't want them to die so I ask Sirius to seperate them," He explained it to Skysong. "Oh I know that they are fine," He smiled. "I know that they will be fine. I'm worried of what happen after they are neophytes and finds me."

Skysong rolled her eyes. Did he really think Sirius would have kept the pups together? "Kunai, Sirius is probably gonna make it so they can't find you. I don't know how but he'll find someway to either keep you from finding them or them from finding you." Skysong laid down on her side, since sitting back would require putting weight on her hind leg. Her head laid against the ground and a sigh escaped her maw. "But even if Sirius does nothing...you do know that you can't go near them right?" Sky asked, looking up at Kunai.

Kunai nodded. "Yeah I know, it's just going to be hard, their teeth are razor sharp," He laughed. "Well Skysong, I'm sorry that I got mad at you from what happened a couple of sun sets ago, I'm sorry."

"Stop saying your sorry, I wasn't holding a grudge" Skysong barked, smiling at her friend. "I get in over my head a lot, I guess it's probably because of my family but I need to learn when to keep my nose out anyway." Skysong shrugged and stretched her front legs. Casting a glance at her twisted paw, the femme grimaced. Her paw had started to swell even though she'd applied the herb to it. So much for medicine.

"It's OK it happens to everyone Sky," he walked towards her and layed down next to her. "So what has been happening? I mean is like what's up?" Kunai asked her calmly. All the pup cares is that he didn't loose a friend over a nightmare.

"Other then the sky? Well, I can't think of much" Skysong admitted with a sigh. "Not much as happened since Destiny died and everything got turned upside down." It was the truth, apart from Sheerans coming to ask for help during the Yozoran attack, Sky couldn't think of anything else that had happened that Kunai didn't already know about. Withint really thinking, Skysong moved her head, laying her head on one Kunai's paws, staring at the undergrowth. "Why are you out here anyway? I doubt you came out here just to say your sorry."

"Well I did wanted to say that I was sorry and I just wanted to talk to you if we were still friends that was it. If you still want to talk to me I'm right here," He explained to her. "Oh and I left a bunny in that bush before you even got there and I think it's not there anymore." He sighed.

Skysong lazily groomed Kunai's dark fur as he explained himself and her lip curled in a smile as she glanced over at the bushes. "I did smell a fox lurking about. We all know they're prey theives." The dark femme breathed in and sighed heavily. The fox was still lurking around. Tiredly Sky pushed herself up, half standing. "That fox is getting a little bold actually, I'm gonna go see if I can scare it off. Last thing we need is a fox picking off prey in the middle of winter."
