"I was a Yozoran when it was still BlackMist. My siblings are probably still there somewhere. I was blind so I left and I've wondered ever since, sometimes with Zenya, sometimes with Nezero and sometimes alone." Moon sighed softly. "Others never saw me as equal in the pack. They said I'd die if I went alone and here I stand over a year and many hardships later." Moon shook her head. "Why come to the border of loner and packland tonight?" she asked, misty azure orbs returning to Kunai's direction.

Kunai looked at Moon in a weird way. "No I just wanted to get away from the pack for a while, I'm going to come back. Why can't you go back though? It would be weird because they think your dead but wouldn't it make the pack happy?" The orphan had to ask the question. It was just a choise that makes things understantable.

Moon chuckled dryly, for once looking away. "My father's years are counting down. My siblings are...seperated I'd imagine and my mother... I haven't scented her near the terra for a long time. They wouldn't be happy. Night would have taken me back but Light would think me a burden and...there's no place in the world for wolves like me Kunai. The only place I belong is here. Loners know that if I've lived this long I can take care of myself. Packwolves don't accept that. Its not enough to draw breath." Moon sighed tiredly, laying in a sphinx pose. She was young but looked tired, not worn by sickness but the sheer strain of living.

Kunai almost gasped, "How do you know my name?" He barked quickly. It was something that he wouldn't attendened that she knew his name. IT was scary...

Moon laughed at the pup's amazement. "You aren't the only wolf that wonders to this lake Kunai. Skysong comes here now and again, since I'm often here she talks to me, gives me an anchor on reality when I'm not at my best. She spoke of you last time she was here. I guessed by the way you acted and I caught a hint of your scent on her fur." Moon smiled. Packwolves came to this lake when they needed to think. Skysong came a lot and Moon often acted as a listener but Skysong would return the favor. Recently she'd brougt herbs for Star to ease her breathing but they had been temporary comforts.

Kunai nodded, "I'm going to think that she told you that she didn't know me anymore sense I had those wicked nightmares," HE told her, wicked as not in a good way whach was what he ment as. "From what? Blood splatter from my mother? I don't know how to heal but I did the things that that one loner told me to do and that was it." The orphan told her.

Moon flicked her ears curiously. "You had me and you lost me. The only blood on Skysong was a dove she managed to catch at the time. You are a curious pup Kunai, but remember I'm blind. Any physical wounds or scars Skysong may have had, I would only know it by smelling blood or feeling the scars." This pup was an odd one that was for sure but Skysong had forewarned her of that. Last time Moon had seen Skysong had been a few suns ago, she had been sad and wanted nothing more then the company of a wolf outside the confusion of the packs. "Also, she had the growing scent of sickness on her pelt."

Kunai just became sad again when Moon said that the sickness was coming on Skysong too. "I want to stop this, I'm sick, not really but I'm sick as in tired of others getting sick!" He howled. The orphan had nothing else to say anyways because it was the only thing he could say. He doesn't want Skysong, his best friend to die like Star who was near.

"Who's talking about me?" said a voice in the dark.
Skysong came toward them at a slow pace. She wasn't coughing yet but Moon could smell the sickness creeping in, hear the soft wheeze in Skysong's breathing as she walked toward them. Normal wolves wouldn't notice it too much. They would think it was because she was coming from sickness-striken land. Moon knew better. Her ears flicked as her misty gaze turned to the approaching neophyte.
"Ah good company has arrived" Moon said, smiling toward Skysong.
Skysong laid down next to Moon looking tired from the walk. Her silver eyes turned to Kunai and she smiled. "I'm glad you met Moon" she said. A cough pulled itself out of Skysong but she surpressed it as best she could. "I thought you were still in camp."

Kunai pricked his ears and stood up with his tail wagging. It was Skysong, it was really Moon talking about Skysong but she would most likely would know that by now. Moon? So that was her name? Those were the words that was in his mind. "Dream, not a nightmare agan, thank goodness. If it was I'd be smashing myself into the walls of the den trying to get myself together." He lied. The orphan wouldn't really do that but it was really a sarcasium thing.

"Well I'm glad you're not doing that because I'd have to clean it up" Skysong said, laughing a little. There wasn't much effort in her laugh, almost like it hurt. Sky was good at hiding her growing sickness. She didn't want anyone to know, she didn't want anybody to worry. Already she'd made Moon promise not to tell and promise not to worry about her. "I was looking around for some herbs that might help Sedaka since wolves aren't feeling well recently."
Moon listened as the two talked, now more observing then active in the conversation. She knew Skysong hadn't wanted her to tell but...this young brute seemed to care about Skysong so...maybe he had a right to know. Moon just hoped he wouldn't reveal that she had told him.

Kunai laughed also, she really would have, and then he would help out sense it was his blood. Just by grabbing mosses of water and spilling it on the blood but that would be if that really did happen. "Yeah, there are a lot of wolves getting sick and it wants me to jump in a lake trying to get away from it," He woofed to Skysong.

The young fae shifted uncomfortably, looking away from Kunai. "Don't do that. It won't get you away from them. They can't help it." Skysong suddenly raised her head and sniffed the air and her eyes went to Moon. "Is...Star ok?" she asked, voice suddenly soft.
Moon shook her head. "No, Star has passed on. Kuroshin is mourning her I suppose."
Skysong laid her head on her paws, staring straight ahead, tears appearing from her silvery eyes. It wasn't just the loss of a good wolf, no it was more then that. She knew Star was destined for a good place in her afterlife for she had been a wonderful wolf in life. No. It was the realization that Star's fate was Skysong's future. If no cure was found...Skysong would die. There was no avoiding it. She and many others would die. Star hadn't even gotten to the last stages before dying. What did that make Skysong's chances?
Moon smelled the salt from Skysong's tears and knew why. Skysong hadn't really been contemplating her impending death. Now that a wolf had actually died...it was becoming more and more of a reality. The horrorstruck look frozen on Skysong's face was enough to tell you that. Though Moon couldn't see it, Kunai could and Skysong couldn't even bother to hide it.

"Yeah, another Star dies," He remembered or Kunai can picture his mother being murdered when the others found her body. It was scary just to think about it really. Things goes and things stays. Lets hope that the sickness doesn't.

Moon ignored Kunai, sightless eyes resting upon Skysong, ears angled toward the weeping neophyte. "Sky" Moon barked sharply. "Just because Star died does not mean you're going to die" Moon barked, voice sharp and harsh.
Skysong coughed several times before replying to Moon. "Yes it does" Skysong barked back, angry and sad at the same time. "Wolves are dying Moon! You can't see them but you're lucky! Star died! I have the same sickness!" Skysong was on her paws now, glaring at Moon.
The ivory fae visibly flinched. She hated being blind. Hated it with a passion but she didn't fit in any other way, Thorn had healed her eyes once only to take her vision again. Moon rose to her paws, turned and padded away, trembling slightly. Remarks on her lack of sight stung and burned deep. She hated it.
Skysong just stood rigid, glaring at Moon, trembling slightly and still crying, shellshocked from the realization on how fast she might die. She might die like Star...unable to breathe and choking on her own blood or she might die raving mad and suffering from the pain.
