Lupus hovered just above the flames. "Boy, do I remember this place," he growled, looking around. "Hasn't changed much..."

Death appeared right in the middle of the dark flames. He cleared an area for Lupus to land. A thick, silvery mist hung in the air.
Regulus whimpered in the corner. "What did I do?"
"You abused my step-mom, that's what!" Death snapped

Death kicked Regulus into the flames and proceeded forward. The flames cleared a path where he walked. Death paused. It was no longer deathly silent like usual. There was a chant somewhere....

"Uh...Feather?" Death barked curiously.

Lupus followed his son, hovering above the ground. "Feather? This is where you went?" The death god glanced at Death. "Any ideas how she got in here?"

"No NOT Feather! HEATHER!" Heather barked. Death shook his head, looking more confused by the minute. "I've never had something like this happen before..."

Lupus frowned, looking down the path. "Anyway to get them out... by rational means?" Lupus glanced at his son, raising a confused brow.

"What are you mumbling about? There's only three here including you two!" Heather woofed. Death shook his head. "This is way out of my league..." he thought for a minute. "It's a silver mist, with the slightest tint of brown that represents Heather. I don't think think this is Heather at all...It's her aura."

Lupus' ears twitched. "Auras? That means you would have to take there souls... How'd the souls end up in there? Is it even possible to force a soul into Tartarus?"

"Well do ya think we just shove the body there and let their actual being go without torture? Heh, no way! The body is seperated slowly and painfully. It can take up to a century!" Death laughed.

Lupus raised a brow. "I knew that, actually. But how did their souls get stuck down there?"

Death sighed. "If someone was put in by accident...." he started, then stopped. "The auras fading, we need to follow it now before it's gone completely."

Lupus looked up, searching for the faint traces of their shredded souls. "Alright. You know this place better than me, so..." His wings snapped open, in he flew above Death. "Lead the way."

Death nodded and began to run towards the strands of silver that were rapidly fading. He sniffed the air, not slowing his pace, then continued onward. "She should be a bit due north of here!" He barked to Lupus.

Lupus looked at his son and nodded. He found is strange that he no longer wanted to kill Death after all this time. I guess he had grown used to the wolf...
