Death flinched suddenly, as if struck. His eyes were wide, but he said nothing. He looked upward, unable to face Slash.

Slash licked his ear. "No harm done, dear. You did me a favor. Jumping infront of you made me a better wolf, I do think. You have to brave to jump infront of a wolf as strong as yourself when he's mad." She winked. "My big, buff studmuffin." XD

(  Yes, I edited out my part of the celeb name ) Death still remained in a frozen state, unsure of how to respond. In fact, he hadn't heard Slash's last comment at all. All he could do was let the horror of his claws tearing into her flesh encase him whole. |

A dark figure padded forward hesitantly, eyes widening in realization. "My Lord! HE HAS RETURNED TO US! DEATH HAS RETURNED TO LEAD BLOOD MIST!"

"Hey, don't be calling my kid a nutcase!" A scarlett fae nosed open the gate, eyes suddenly widening with realization.
"S-Slash? D-Death? It's...it's really you?!" The femme paced forward, an excited smile playing across her maw. "It's me...Crimson...."
Crimson used to be a spy for Blood Mist. She usually lived out in the loner terras with her friend, Blood, but sometimes resided with the pack. She'd fallen in love with a cruel wolf named Tear, and had been a month pregnant at her time of death. Tear had died as well, but they had made peace with the Golden Wolf.
No wolf had seen them for ages, but no wolf had thought to ask.

Slash smiled. "Crimson? What ever happened to you!?" The fae's brown ears shot up happily as she jumped up to meet her old packmate. Well, sort of a packmate, anyway.

Crimson smiled, but there was a sadness about her. "C'mere, Rosie!" She woofed to her daughter. Rose complied grumpily, then proceeded to hide behind Crimson, occasionally peeking at Slash and the rousing Death.
"I...I had two children. I don't know how it happened...there have been preganant mothers who have died before and this doesn't happen...in fact, I'm sure they were dead when I first died. I blame it on the environment, I suppose..." she slewed feverishly. "I can't stay out for long...the pack will worry..." She hesitated, then added, "Redfang led us for a long time, but she is growing elder. She'll hand down leadership to her beta, soon..."

Death was just as puzzled as Slash, though he still hadn't completely come back to consiousness.
"We call ourselves the Zanna-Rossan Pack. Redfang's name didn't work with the new name format...so we had it translated into several different wolven tongues. Italian worked best." She woofed guardedly.

"The other packs changed their name from a "Mist" ending to an "n" ending. Redfang was our leader, and at first we remained Blood Mist. She restored us...gave us someone to follow and a hope for the future even when there was none. So we honored her by renaming our pack after her. Her name didn't fit into it naturally like the other four leaders did, so Redfang changed her name. Zanna Rossa is the Italien form of Redfang. Some still call her Redfang, but she rarely uses the name."
