"Because anything could have gone wrong" He growled. "Life isn't just a game" He tucked his paws under his chest and laid there, looking the other way. "Why don't you jump head first into freezing water, see where it gets you"

Sweet Tangerine narrowed her eyes and padded away, only to come sprinting past seconds later. She splashed into the water and her head bobbed above the surface once more. "You were right about it being cold, but otherwise no harm done," She barked, her voice a little hurt.

Cursico watched. "I didn't know what was coming... Just tell me when you're playing games next okay?" He asked.

Sweet Tangerine smiled a bit. "But that was the point! You seemed all like in this trance! It was kinda scary actually..."

Cursico grinned. "Taking advantage of me!' He gasped dramaticly. The wolf spalshed into the water and paddled around.

Sweet Tangerine continued to smile at him, her green eyes looking into his dark ones. "Nah, just making sure you don't go all Golden Mist zombie on me!" She laughed.

"Zombies can't run..." Cursico said thoughtfully. "And they're icky and all falling apart" Zombies weren't scary, they were slow and stupid, it was easy to out-wolf them.

"Exactly, so consider it a favor," She barked a bit sarcastically. She splashed a bit of water at him and splashed away in the other direction.

Cursico paddled after Tangerine. Purposely swimming eratticly so water flew everywhere. "I was entranced by your serpentess!" He shouted above his own noise. "Not a brain sucking crazy"

She tilted her head at him curiously. "Sorry I couldn't hear you!" She laughed.

He gave a halfhearted snap at her tail. "What happened to hunting!?" He shouted even louder than before.

"With the racket you're making, the prey will have hid in their burrows!" She joked. She swiped playfully at his nose.

"Burrows?" Cursico sniffed, ducking his head underwater to avoid the paw. "Two wolves hunting rabbits or burrowing creatures! Why not deer!?" It was silly to spend time hunting small thiungs when a larger variety was available.

Sweet Tangerine nodded, but shuffled her paws uneasily. "Honestly, I've never dared to hunt such large game on my own. We probably won't get too banged up if we do it together," She admitted, a bit embarresed.

Cursico laughed. "Believe me, I won't let any silly deer hurt you" His doe-like eyes had returned again, sure he was cold and wet, but she was very pretty.
