Dripping Fangs (Kojo/Faith)

[Ärï]

Kojo coughed roughly, small flecks of blood staining his fangs. "Where...is Faith" Kojo panted. He was limp once more. His energy was draining, he could feel it. It felt like water tugging at his fur, dragging him down. When he tried to fight back, it got worse. It was better just to lay there....He wanted to sleep but he didn't dare. The pain swelling in his wound burned like fire but he didn't dare look at it.

[Destiny]

Ronin padded over near the brute."she is-"his words were cut short.

Faith burst into the clearing."KOJO!KOJO!"she howled.

"Faith come back!"Hope and Fate appeared behind the fae.

Faith ran to Kojos side.she buried her nose in his fur.

[Ärï]

Despite himself, Kojo let out a sharp yelp of pain and flinched away from Faith. He looked over at his mate through foggy eyes, his gaze darkened and dim. "I guess..you're safe" Kojo rasped, breathing hard but managing a small smile for Faith's sake. "This is...what happens...when I don't...fight back" Kojo barked, his voice rough and quiet.

[Destiny]

Faith cried out."GOlden Mist NO!DOnt take him from me!Take me instead!"she collapsed onto him.Her tounge rasping over him.Sobs racking her form.

[Ärï]

"Hush" Kojo barked softly, brushing his muzzle between her ears. "Hush Faith, I knew it would happen." Kojo's eyes flickered. "How bad is it?" Kojo asked quietly, gazing at Faith rather then his wound. The scarlet seemed to have spread over his fur like fire, his whole side was ablaze with his own blood. The scent was making him dizzy. So this was how it was going to end......

[Destiny]

Faith began cleaning his fur.Hope joined in."Its really only one bad wound."Hope barked.

Ronin examined it."Brace yourself."With that the brute dug his fangs into the wound and ripped out a silver bullet.He spit it onto the earth.

Fate silently returned.She was a Healer.She began applying cobwebs to his lesser wounds."Clean the one where the bullet was."she instructed.Hope and Faith began to clean it carefully.

[Ärï]

Kojo tried not to get away but he couldn't help it. When one of them, Fate he thought, touched the wound, his body jerked away from her, a reaction many wolves had had. The faes didn't seem to understand it. He could feel the infection seeping in. The bullet, though Ronin had removed it, had already set its poison into place. It was spreading like a virus. Fever made his skin burn and his breathing hitched, tongue lulling from parted jaws as he struggled to keep a regular breathing pattern.

[Destiny]

Faith let out a yelp of pain and fell to the earth."The pups are soming NOW!"she groaned.

(How many are ther going to be?I want one obviously.)

Kojo heard his mate's words but just barely. He shrank away from Fate. "Help...Faith" Kojo barked, panting. "I...can wait." He put his strength into those words, or what was left of it. There wasn't much. With each beat of his heart he felt it seeping away through the wound, pushing the bullet's infection further. It was going to end.

((i'm gonna kill him off when the pups are born, kinda a life ending, life starting kinda thing but i have a good idea ))

[Destiny]

Fate had no time to argue.Faiths pups were coming quickly.

Faith howled with pain as the first was quickly born.A small ebony fae with grey flecks.The fae found her mothers belly quickly and began to nurse.

The second pup came quickly after.

[Ärï]

Kojo glimpsed the pup but the image was fuzzy, like a blur of grey. Kojo smiled, eyes half closed. One pup safe and it smelled like the other was coming fast. It was a good thing the pups were virtually helpless, deaf, blind and unable to smell. The last thing he wanted their first sight or scent to be was his blood and his dieing. No. He didn't want them to see that. It was bad enough Faith was going to have to see it but he had no way of avoiding it. He could feel it coming closer. Nearby, the blue/ebony form of Meric stood in the moonlight, see through and foggy. She was waiting. Kojo knew it. She was GoldenMist. Her scent was that of GoldenMist, like a summer breeze. "Not yet" he murmured, voice barely audible.

"I will wait but not much longer" Merci barked. She knew the pain of leaving her pups. She had only seen them once since her death.

[Destiny]

She nudged the second pup as it came.

She scented the fae.

Kojo name them.

(you can name them both I cant think of a name.The fae is mine shes a bledn of Kojo and Faith.Kojos body and size,Faiths eyes and compassion and both of their pelts.)

(Serra and Sunblaze, that's one pup that i was gonna take, she's kinda a red/gold color when the sun hits her just right, it thought it would be cool)

Kojo caught flashes of their fur colors. One pups was a perfect blend of them. For some reason the name Serra came to his mind as clear as day. The second femme was a bit smaller. Her fur was a rich red/gold color, even in the moonlight he could see it. Sunblaze. Kojo looked at Merci. The black fae padded forward. A cool breeze brushed his fur. His breath escaped him and his flanks fell still. His amber pools clouded over. He was done but still, there he stood, trasnparent and unseen by the living, all but Faith. He watched her and smiled. No scar ringed his neck anymore. No bullet wound in his side or scar on his shoulder. He was whole and healthy, as he would have been if the humans hadn't taken him.

"I love you" he murmured, wondering if Faith could hear him. He hoped so though he doubted they noticed his death when Faith was having pups.

[Destiny]

Faith azed upon him."I love you Kojo."She whispered.Her eyes did not cloud with grief or sorrow.She did not want her pups to see their mother crying.She nodded to Kojo and it seemed as if he had barked the names in her aud.She nosed the first fae."This will be Serra."Then she nosed the second."This one Sunblaze.FOr her fur shines like the blazing sun."SHe liked them, bothe then glanced to Kojo again."Visit us."she whispered.

[Ärï]

"I won't be away long" Kojo promised. He glanced at Merci's ebony figure, waiting patiently in the moonlight. Something in her eyes told him his time was up. His ears rang slightly with ancient wolf song. He closed his eyes, breathing in deeply. "It feels good" he murmured, looking back at Faith with a peaceful gaze. "But don't hurry to meet me." He smiled at his mate and turned to Merci. "I'll come again soon but I have to go now." Merci turned her muzzle skyward and let out a long howl, unheard by all except for Kojo and Faith. It sounded like the wind sighing through the leaves. Kojo closed his eyes and breathed in, his red-brown form evaporating into the night with Merci to go to GoldenMist's terra.

Sunblaze whimpered, letting out something like a howl though somehow....it sounded unlike other wolf howls. It was softer, like a young pup's would be but it seemed every wolf could hear it.
