((Eh, no one ever reads my threads so I'm just going to make this go fast.))
Gaara padded through the meadow. He was carrying the scent of the disease that had gone through the packs. He was not running away from his pack because of the disease; he was getting ready to fight.
Grug followed his cousin into the meadow. The fur on his shoulders were on end. His teeth were bare as he prepared himself for a fight.
Gaara stopped walking and faced Grug. "I'm ready when you are. This will be a fair fight. Winner lives... loser dies." He narrowed his eyes and glared at Grug.
Grug looked amusingly at Gaara. "Your sick. I'm definitely going to win this."
Zuni ran out of the nearby forest. "Don't fight! Why can't you guys just be friends?"
Gaara flicked his ears. "This has nothing to do with friendship." He charged for Zuni and raked his claws down his cousin's shoulder.
Zuni jumped back surprised. The power in Gaara's attack left deep scars in his shoulder. He started to lick at them.
"Don't worry," replied Gaara. "You won't have to deal with the pain for long." He charged for Zuni again and attacked his unprotected neck; ripping at it.
Zuni shook his head, but it didn't help. He fell to the ground and felt his life slowly flowing away.
Gaara let go and walked away, licking at the blood around his muzzle. "He'll die eventually. Maybe he'll be lucky enough to see you die, too." He laughed.
Grug flinched. "Enough talk. Let's just get this over with."
Gaara nodded. "Okay then, attack!"
Grug ran straight for Gaara. His jaw was wide open. He wanted this battle to go fast.
Gaara was ready for him. He butted Grug with his head making him fall backwards. "Weak."
Grug shook himself and snarled. He stood up and ran for Gaara again. This time he was able to rake his claws down his cousin's shoulder before Gaara jumped back.
Gaara shivered as he looked at the shoulder. I can't lose anymore blood. I already lost enough from all that coughing. He growled back.
Grug took a step back and waited.
Gaara charge and scratched open Grug's nose.
Grug howled and leaped back. What is making him so powerful? He should be dying right now because of that disease.
"My claws are covered and dirt," said Gaara, digging his claws into the ground. "The dirt can be harmful, but that's only one reason why I'm so strong. You should know the other reason."
Grug snarled with anger and hatred. "You got to be kidding me. Okay, we charge each other one more time and this time we both make it count."

...
Gaara held the neck of Grug in his jaws. His paws and muzzle was bloody as he set down the unmoving body next to Zuni. "Weaklings. All of you are. None of you deserve to live." He started walking a few paces before he had a sudden cough attack. Before he knew it, his eyes had rolled in the back of his head and he fell down, dead.
Two black wolves appeared in the distance. The walked over to the dead bodies and prepared to take them to their packs. One had paused and pricked its ears. "I think someone is coming..."
