The Grey Mist Pack Travels

Silver smiled at Zuni, brushing her icy ivory banner against his shoulder. She turned her eyes to Grug and nodded. "Sure, we can take a look. You don't mind waiting do you Zuni?" Silver looked over at Zuni. If he didn't want her to go, she would stay with him. Being snow-blind wasn't something to be light about. Zuni would be at a disadvantage at least until the blindness cleared.

"You guys can go ahead. I'm fine!" Zuni smiled.

Grug nodded. "Well then let go of my tail. It feels like your trying to eat it!" He crept a little towards the shadow when Zuni had let go. He waited for Silver to catch up with him.

The black wolf looked questioningly at Grug. He backed up a little bit, his fur on end. His ears were pricked incase anyone decided to come after him. Have they've seen me?

Silver giggled when Grug demanded that Zuni let go of his tail. Licking Zuni's muzzle, Silver bounded after Grug. The sterling fae was soon lost in the storm of swirling white and frigid winds. Silver followed Grug toward the shadow, moving carefully, dark green pools staring through the whirlwind of snow before them. In the heart of it stood a black form distorted by the flying ice and snow.

The black wolf cocked his head to one side. After a while, he leaped into the air and started running towards Grug and Silver. "Hi!" he howled above the storm. He was not scared of what would happen. His fur wasn't even on end from the coldness.

Grug started backing up a little. "He's coming this way! He's going to attack!"

Silver let out a sharp warning snarl, lean muscles tensing under her fluffed up silver coat. The fae curled back her lips to reveal her long ivory razors and let out another rumbling snarl before running forward and slamming her shoulder into the brute's chest. She wouldn't be caught off guard, not today.

Nirvana looked back at her brother, regretting wanting to leave so easily. However, he'd found Melody. There was no use for her to hand about. After all, she had the feeling she was the only who knew about the twenty-first. Well, she knew what it would come down to. Or at least she suspected it. It wasn't too terribly hard to see, if one looked in the right places...
Sedaka? Maybe she could speak with him....

[Destiny]

Destiny flicked an aud forward.Akaira and Rapier still attached to her back.New Moon ran at her left flank.Kiari on the other faes back.

The black wolf fell hard to the ground on his back. He looked at Silver not with anger, but with happiness. "You can sure hit really good, lady! Show me how you do it!" He rolled over onto his feet and looked at Silver happily.

Grug looked carefully at the loner. Is this a trick? He hesistated for a moment. "Don't fall for it Silver! He's probably a rouge trying to trick you!" He ran over and stood a few feet away from the black wolf.

Silver snarled as she leapt to her paws. Weaving back and forth for a moment, Silver watched the brute. With a feral snarl the lean femmora sprang forward again, trying to snap her jaws down on his muzzle. That was usually a good way to distract your enemy though it usually meant you got bit too.

"Eep!" The black wolf jumped back from Silver's fangs. "Why you trying to kill me, lady? I mean no harm, really!" He crouched low to the ground, showing he did not want to put up a fight. His tail was bristling madly and his whole body was quivering.

Grug took a few steps closer. "I wouldn't believe you! How do we know you're not a spy!"

Silver snarled and stalked closer, slender frame lowered in a stance to fight or leap back if he tried to attack. Her muscles were tense under her thick sterling silver pelt which was coated in fine frost and snow. Her muscles were tense, deep forest green pools hardened and wary. Silver knew loners and rouges all too well. Some were good, some where bad. If Grug wanted to remain on edge, Silver would help him and make sure this wolf wasn't going to bring more trouble to GreyMist.

The black wolf looked back and forth to Silver and Grug. "Why you old wolves looking at me like that! I did no harm, did I!" He crouched as low to the ground as he could. Why won't they listen to me? If they won't guess I'll just have to handle things my own way...

Grug sniffed the wolf. Definitely a loner. He smells like he just recently ate. And another wolf has been with him. Other than that, he doesn't have even the faintest scent of Blood Mist on him. Grug took a step back and looked at Silver. "I think he's okay, for now."

Silver relaxed and let her offensive stance drop to a more casual stance. "Well then chase him off and lets go before they leave us behind" Silver barked, flicking her tail at the black brute on the ground. "And we're not old! I'm not older then you are mutt" Silver growled.

"NO! Don't chase me off! I'm here to help!" The black wolf looked at Silver with pleading eyes. "Please old wolf... er... just please! I wanna come with you! Just to help out, not to join you guys or anything!"

Grug grabbed the wolf's tail and held it firmly tight. "If he tries to fight, I'll pull him down to the ground."

Silver sighed but then her ears pricked. Sirius had noticed their noisemaking. The muscular brujo, well built and sturdy looked quite intimidating as he appeared through the blowing snow. His frame looked bigger then normal and shaggier because of his thick winter coat. The silver scar across Sirius's eye matched his sterling eye color and his fur seemed to have lost its blue tint which usually clung to his summer and spring coats.

"What's going on here?" Sirius barked. "You two are falling behind and Zuni won't move." His eyes fell on the black wolf. "Who's this?"
