Alaskansong flickered her ears back at New Moon and bit her tongue to not say somthing she shouldnt. She took neat, clean bites out of the carcuss every now and then, chewing slowly tasteing every bit she could of the meat. Who knows when they'll be eatting again. She took a deep breath and pushed the meat aside looseing her appitie.
Sky laughed a little bit at Stars comment. "Seems as if Kauni really likes the new no?", she barked at the beautiful fae named Star.

"I hope he likes it with the pack....It's probably a little scary...being around so many paws...." She mused, attempting to picture Kunai's position. She was rather curious how he felt. She smiled at Sky kindly.

Grug looked at Zuni, worriedly. "Are you hungry, or do you want to rest?" He knew he had to tell Zuni about what's wrong with his eyes, but he also needed to figure out a good explanation.
"Nah. I'm not that hungry, anyway." Zuni laid down and sighed. "Can't even see the paws in front of my face."

Twilla was asleep instantly after her "feast". Sweet Tangerine curled around the small pup to keep her warm. Her eyelids dropped shut and she found herself dozing off quickly.

Aliya curled up and slept.
Sothis slept by Skysong.
Svel finishde eating.Then took Kiari from New Moon and went off to a corner to sleep.
Kiari fell asleep with Svel.
New Moon took some meat from the moose but not much.When she had finished the femme stood in front of the den to keep watch for the night.She would switch up with Aliya later.
Akiara nestled into her mothers warmth.Sleeping between Destiny's paws.
The alphess dozed.But her auds remained perked and alert.

Grug sighed and thought to himself. "How should I say this to you Zuni? Um..." Maybe I should tell him what it is. "You have snow blindness. It is just a blindness that comes when there is a glare hitting off the snow. It's very hard to explain, really."
Zuni pricked his ears. "It must be that then. I don't know any other way." But how do we get rid of it?

Destiny perked an aud.Raising to her paws she nosed Akaira over to Svel where the pup would be warm.Rising to her paws she padded over to Grug and Zuni."Whats wrong with Zuni."She questioned Grug.

"Snow blindness. It's from the glare of the sun on snow. Usually after awhile getting it, his eyes will turn bloodshot, teary and gritty, and vision loss. It'll only last up to two days, usually." Grug stared into Zuni's eyes. They were not red yet, but they were a little teary.
"Two whole days! That's like forever! I can't b blind that long especially on the mountains." Zuni's body quivered. "There must be a way to stop this, right?"

Silver and Bluefrost padded to one side of the cave and curled up together though Silver kept her gaze toward Zuni and Grug. Her stomach was knotted with worry. Though Zuni may have gone blind, Silver knew she'd still be there for him, if he wanted her.
Slowly, Silver rose to her paws and padded toward Zuni. "Zuni, its ok, calm down. We'll help you" she murmured, licking his ears soothingly.
Sirius watched Destiny approach Zuni and Grug. Sighing tiredly, he rested his head on his paws, near Aliya. Glancing once more over at his pups to make sure they were alright, Sirius drifted off to sleep.
Skysong rested her head on Sothis's back and fell asleep peacefully.

Destiny closed her eyes racking her brain."Turpentine is for...hmmmm"Then she looked at Zuni again."Melody might know something.WHere is she anyway?"Destiny glanced around.No sign of the fae.No sign of Sedaka either.

"At least you didn't get cataracts," Grug mentioned. "It is possible. Until we find Melody or Sedaka, you'll have to try not to rub your eyes and keep them closed for now. If lucky, we could find a river to help wash them out." He smiled hoping to make Zuni more cheerful.
"Fine. Only two days, right?" Zuni closed his eyes and tried to withstand the pain. "I'll never look at snow the same way again."

Silver laid down next to Zuni and groomed remaining ice from his fur. She felt sorry for him. Silver knew they'd once been friends before they'd fallen to the side. Now she just hoped she could help him feel a little bit better.

Destiny padded around the den worridly.No Melody.SHe padded out into the snow.Carefully she walked around until she was almost out of sight of the den.No Melody.Returning to the den she padded over to Grug."When was the last time you saw Melody."her tone held worry.Destiny had not seen the femme since the beginning of their journey.

Grug shrugged. "I don't know. Haven't seen her for awhile." He looked around, wondering if there was anything to help Zuni. There's not much here. He needs a lot of shade and something to wet his eyes. The snow will just make it worse.
Zuni sniffed the air. "Silver? Is that you?"

"Yeah" Silver murmured, grooming his ears. She flicked his side with her pale sterling banner and smiled slightly. "You'll be fine once we get out of these accursed mountains." Silver touched her muzzle against his cheek for a moment and sighed.
