Sitting next to the lake at the base of the mountains, Zara sat with her tail in the water. Xander was a couple feet away, splashing in the water trying to catch little minnows. Watching her son having fun made her smile. She wanted him to have the best life that he could. Zara would never let her son out of her sight. She would not let anything happen to the only thing she has.
Xander was as playful as they come. He loved play with his mother. He had never known of anything else. Never knew any other wolves besides his mother.
Zara turned towards the bushes behind her. She thought she heard a noise coming from there. She turned back around to the lake, deciding that it was Xander falling in to the lake. For he had just came out lake, sopping wet. Zara started to laugh at the sight of her son. Xander shook off and he looked even funnier! Zara laughed even harder. She hadn’t laughed like this in many, many moons. But under her laughs, she was still concerned over the rustling she heard in the bushes…

Chain the loner wasn't really far but wasn't really close. He watched as the little pup was playing in the water. It makes him think when he was a pup and do that. His father was really good and so was his mother. Right next to him was a herb that was growing from the ground but it wasn't full grown yet. It really shouldn't even be growing at the time because of winter. He still watches the pup playing like there was world peace! |

Zara's ears perked again at the sound of the bushes again. "Xan" Zara whispered to her son. "Come behind me." Xander continued to splash and play in the water, not hearing his mother. Zara decided that she would go and investigate. She moved over towards the bushes, sniffing loudly

Well that was strange. Chain heard the pup's mother tell him to come here and behind her but not the pup? Strage was what what in the loner's mind at the moment. He stood up with his four paws. "I come in peace. Don't worry I'm not from Blood Mist," He barked at them. Chain walked through the bush. |

Zara stepped back. Xander looked over and saw the stranger. He ran out of the water and behind his mother. "Who are you? What where you doing spying on me and my son?"

Chain sighed. Does he look that scary? He doesn't think so. "FIrst of all. I'm not spying on you or your son. By the way he is cute. And second of all I was here and then I saw you and your son, you pup," He explained. "Oh and don't be scared of me because I'm not scary. Just becuase they look scary. It doesn't mean that they are scary. Third of all my name is Chain." |

Zara's face softened and smiled. "I'm sorry that I was so harsh with you." Zara said. "My name is Zara and this little guy," Zara said pushing Xander out from behind her, "this is Xander, Xander say hello" Zara laughed and her blue eyes met the stranger's.

Yes always. It always work even if you do really mean it. It makes the mother happy to say that your pup is really cute. "Well hello Zara, either way I can't fight anyways. I'm a healer," He woofed. "Well I know that you taught him to not to talk to strangers that are above the moons of the wolf." He said to the mother of the pup. [/right] |

Zara giggled. Xander looked at her in an odd way. "Mama, do I need to get this guy for you." He growled and raised his little hackles. Zara stopped giggling and swatted her son on the tail with her paw. Xander yelped and sulked behind his mother again. She looked back up at Chain. "I do apologize, sir" Zara said bowing her head. "He didn't mean to say that."

Pups got to be pups. It's only their nature. They would do whatever what their minds are set up to. "It's O.K. I got that expression before," Chain said to Zara. No blaming what-so-ever! Nothing to do anyways either way he would look an ear maybe. (0_o) [/right] |

Zara laughed again. "Thank you for taking no offense." She stepped alittle closer. "So" she said to Chain. "What is yourself doing here?" She smiled and looked at him again with her big blue eyes.

Zara looked at him pensively. "Well" She said, looking sad. "I guess that you should head out to find them." She tapped Xander on the head so he would stop sticking his tongue at Chain.

Zara looked down and sniffed. "Alright" She saud still looking down as he left. "Come on Xander" She said sadly. "We have to find somewhere to spend the night before it gets dark and cold"
