"You?" she asked sweetly. "I suppose. Although, my mother was probably the most gentle wolf I'd ever met." She sighed. "God I miss them..." She lay her head on her paws and thought again of her parents. They'd died a long time ago, her mother of infection, her father of broken heart and and exhaustion. Her brother she hadn't seen in months, and she was often very lonely. She originally started traveling without stopping to find him. So far she'd found no sign. She growled softly in frustration It was now completely daylight, and the air was warming a bit. She shivered a little, then got up and stetched. She looked at Rikki. "Where are you headed now? Perhaps we can travel together a while?"

Rikki thought for a moment. "I'm not sure" he admitted, giving her a comical smile. "I go where my paws go, no other place." Rikki knew the youngling was sad. It was unfortunate that some wolves had it so hard. Most of the stories Rikki knew were sad love stories ending in death with something lingering to remind new generations of their existance. That was how it went most times. No one remembered the happy, simple stories, all except Rikki. "Your company would be welcome youngling."

"I'm glad to hear it," Morning Star admitted. "I do sometimes get lonely." Then she chuckled to herself "Think of it, a warrior, lonely. Although I'm not yet a warrior, and until i find my brother, the odds of it are quite slim."

"Even bravehearts get lonely" Rikki barked. "I've gotten used to it but I still like company, at least when they aren't calling me a fox." Rikki rolled his eyes and got to his paws, shaking some snow from his ginger-red coat. Rikki smiled and stretched the cramps from his lanky, boney limbs. "Would you like to get going then? I'm following the packs to record they're stories. GoldneMist knows they won't do it." Rikki chuckled.

Morning Star wagged her tail happily. "I'm glad to know it's normal, then. And yes, I'd love to come. I may learn some new stories along the way," she happily added. The two got up and walked along the path. The mountains seemed to rise into the sky, and never stop. She said this to Rikki, and chuckled after she did; she sounded like a foolish little pup (which, as I stated, she hardly wasn't one) It reminded her of her hikes with her father and brother when her mother was gone...or alive but too ill to come with them. Her father tried to heal her, but he knew she was lost. That's what hurt them all the most.
