Black Mist & Grey Mist {The Voyage Continues}

"Yea whatever..." Grug paused and looked around. Maybe he's out hunting. I'll be able to find him then. It'll probably be a little scary talking to his father... He eyed at Avalanche, the biggest wolf he'd ever seen. Just looking at him gives him nightmares of how easily that old wolf could break his back.

"You've been acting weird ever since Black Mist scent came into range. What is it?" Zuni would be staring at his brother right now... if he could.

Wolfgang pricked his ears at familiar voices. I would've known I'd meet those two wolves again, he thought while looking toward Silver and Grug. He stalked off and disappeared into the shadows once again.

Silver smirked. "Maybe he's got a fae in BlackMist he never told you about" Silver joked, flicking Zuni's flank with her tail. "Don't worry Zuni, I'll keep you company." Silver smiled at the ivory brujo as she kept pace beside him. Somehow, it seemed her wariness was melting away, like she was feeling stronger. Another feeling however, made her uneasy. Silver stopped, sending snow flying everywhere. Her ears pricked. "Someone's following us I think" Silver barked, looking around, sterling auds swerving. "If it's that same jerk from earlier I'll rip his ears off regardless if Sirius is around or not."

"I don't!" snapped Grug. "It's a wolf that can help us with Zuni's problem if he ever goes blind again. He's not here right now, but his father is. Although..." He sat down and looked at his paws. "...His father is huge and I'm scared of asking him even the simplest question."

"Jerk? Grug never told me about this 'jerk.' Who is he?" Zuni sniffed the air, but could not sniff through the strong scents of Black Mist and Gray Mist.

Wolfgang sighed and eyed the other wolves carefully. Anybody who's not on guard, I'll just sneak behind them and give them a nice loud boo!

Silver rolled her eyes. "Just talk to Moon, I heard she's a blind BlackMist neophyte" Silver barked, still keeping pace easily with the two brothers. "At least, I think. Rumor has it Thorn healed her and then she got injured and lost her sight again." Silver shrugged. "I bet it's a lie though, you can't ever trust BlackMist wolves."

Reige whom was passing sent a scowl in Silver's direction before sprinting ahead.

"Nice job. Just make all of Black Mist hate us, why don't you!" Grug turned his attention to Avalanche, the white wolf sitting next to the dens. I must face my fears! I will not let fear stand in my way! He took a deep breathe and started walking towards the great white wolf.

"Don't do it Grug!" howled Zuni, turning his head in every direction trying to catch his brother's scent. "Y-you'll die! I don't want to lose my only sibling!"

"Easy tiger" Silver barked to Zuni, putting her front paws on his shoulder and pushing him down. "Grug's a big boy, he can handle himself." Silver glanced toward Avalanche. "At least, I hope he can." Silver quickly looked away from the larger brute.

It felt as if every pelt on Grug's fur bristled. "Um.. h-hi... I have a question..." His legs felt like they were going to colaspe. He tried to not stare into the large brute' eyes.

Avalanche looked at Grug, then turned away. "What is it, child? I've got no time to play games. Hurry up and ask before I go throw you off a cliff." He closed his eyes and listened to the conversations going inside the den. Where's Axle? I haven't seen him since we were helping that one Gray Mist wolf.

"He won't make it!" cried Zuni. "That wolf's going to eat him! Ah! We must do something before something bad happens!"

Silver frowned and lunged forward, lunging at Zuni's muzzle. The fae clamped his jaws shut with hers and glared at him right in the eye, a warning look telling him to shut his trap unless he wanted it torn off. Silver understood that Zuni was a protecive brother but honestly, Grug could handle himself. Silver had never had patience for controlling siblings.

"Well... um... I need help from your son..." Grug tried his best to smile.

Avalanche sighed. "I don't know where he is. Probably out hunting or something. Now can you leave and let me go back to daydream." He was silent after that except for his heavy breathing.

Zuni tried to shake Silver off. A growl rosed in his throat.

Silver tensed her jaw, eyes narrowed in a warning etched in emerald. Grug was doing just fine, at least Avalanche hadn't killed him yet. Silver glanced at the two out of the corner of her eye. It seemed Avalanche was sending Grug away.

"Yes sir!" Grug ran off to stand next to Zuni. He tried to clear his head, but couldn't. He looked questioningly at Silver. "I won't ask. I'm just lucky Avalanche was drowsy from... daydreaming?" Shouldn't a wolf like that be on guard?

I'm going to tackle you as soon as you let go! thought Zuni. I have my rights to talk! I don't need someone else telling me what to do!

[Ärï]

When Grug approached and spoke, Silver released Zuni and leapt back gracefully, managing not to trip in the snow. "See Zuni, Grug can take care of himself, I think." Silver glanced over Grug. "Yep, no injuries, he's fine."

"Now I'm bored. Why doesn't something happen?" Grug laid down and closed his eyes. "When are we going to start leaving again, too. Surely everyone must noticed the Blood Mist scent half a mile away."

"Blood Mist! What, where who? Are they attacking now?" Zuni's fur bristled and sniffed around. He was ready to run at even the littlest sounds.

"I say one word, and he goes off." Grug sighed and started falling slowly to sleep.

Sighing, Silver laid down as well, next to Grug though there was still room for Zuni if he calmed down long enough to get any sleep, or even think about it. Silver put her head on her paws and let her leaf colored orbs drift closed as sleep tempted her. All these days of long running were taking their toll on all of them though Silver was better off then most, it still made her tired. "Sleep Zuni or you'll be lagging behind tomorrow."

"I can run faster than any of you could dream of! How can I lag behind?" Zuni lifted his head proudly. He did have a point, too. By now, his snow blindness should be healing. Tomorrow, he would be able to easily see things close up. And then a few days later, my normal eyesight will be returning back!
