The small pup wasn't yet used to the intense cold surrounding her, and the snow was something that she had never really experienced before. She looked at it as if it was going to kill her, and for now, she sat still beneath the shelted of a large pine, her clear blue eyes staring at it warily. She wasn't used to this life alone yet, but she knew of nothing else because she didn't remember her early days with her family. Titling her dial slightly, she wodnered if it was safe to venture out. Would she fall through it? What had happened to the dirt and the grass? This didn't make any sense. Sighing slightly, he straightened so that she was standing and then began barking at it after a moment. It didn't stir. Snorting in indignation, she shook her dial and then pounced forward, but fell short of the snow. She kept her butt up in the air, and her tiny tail was wagging back and forth in a questioning manner. She didn't know what to do with herself. Huffing slightly, Elijah stood once more and turned around, gathering up her courage to step upon the snow. It was a light snow fall so that was why she was safe under the tree. Furrowing her brow, she suddenly got the push she needed.
Turning to face the blanket of snow, she started a clumsy run, charging for the white covering. When her paws hit it, she didn't know what to do first. She shivered slightly from the cold, and then realized that she was sinking through. Fear took hold of her heart and she suddenly leapt up into the air, trying to keep herself above the surface. She bounced to and fro, wondering when she was going to fall through. Realizing she kept landing on a solid surface, she let herself stand still once she landed once more, panting and breathing heavily from the activity. Her legs were sprawled and she lowered her nose to look at the snow. Her soft pink tongue licked at the surface and she realized that the white melted upon her tongue and quenched her thirst. Looking at it in a new light, she took a bite and was suddenly greeted with an extremely cold feeling upon her baby teeth, as if it was so cold it was painful. Lifting her lips away from her teeth, it seemed as if she was snarling. Shaking her dial back and forth to rid herself of the feeling, she lost her balance and plopped down in the snow. Yelping as she fell, she scrambled to her feet and scrambled to the safety of beneath the pine tree. She didn't stop until she was by the stump, and from there she laid down, her ears perked forward in interest, and her tiny body quivering in wonder and worry. How was she going to get out of here?

A small femme blended perfectly into the snow. All visable was her deep, brown eyes. She glided towards the tree. she smelled the young pup. She glided towards her. She stood up straight and ran at a full run rowards the pup. Her small paws glided towards her. This femme was quite small herself but she was full grown. She had her fluffy ears perked and her tail up. her senses were ready and she was alert.
She reached the pup and she wagged her tail. She studied the pup with calm eyes. She had a gentle expression. She said nothing but her eyes said it all. She was friend not foe. She was here to help not hurt. She stayed three feet away as if not to worry the pup to much. She offered her care through her eyes.

She remained where she was for the moment, staring longingly at the snow. She wanted to get out from beneath this pine tree, but it didn't seem possible with the white blanket covering the ground. None of it made sense. Why was it even here? She tilted her head in question and then pushed herself up into a standing position. She stepped forward timdily, her head low to the ground and her eyes staring at the snow. She looked at her footprints in the snow and wondered why those were there. It was like footprints in the mud. Maybe this wouldn't hurt her. Mud hadn't hurt her, and if she could leave footprints in the mud and this too, then there shouldn't be a problem. Feeling braver now, she stumbled forward and lost her balance. Elijah fell face first in the snow and for a moment she felt paralyzed. Regaining herself, she picked herself up and snorted to get the snow out of her nose, shaking her head at the same time. Sneezing, she sent herself backwards to get away from the snow again and sat down with a whine. This wasn't fair.
Maybe there was a way to get around it. She circled the large tree she was beneath, looking at all possible routes from the base of it. The only place she could see was a small path that hadn't been completely covered. Pieces of grass appeared from below the surface, and she thought that it that wasn't covered, then she wouldn't sink that far through. Her decision made, she was ready to go. But suddenly, something caught her attention. Looking over her shoulder, she saw the larger wolf bounding her way. Her ears flattened against her dial and her tail went instantly between her legs. She wasn't a big fan of other wolfs, especially after being abandoned by her father in this strange place. She looked at the path and wondered if she could escape. But the female wolf was already nearing, and there was no way that she could outrun her. So she didn't move. Shrinking back against the trunk of the tree, she pushed herself into it, trying to disappear into it but with no luck. As the female wolf stopped a few feet away, she shrunk into the ground, showing that she was afraid, and she wasn't going to strike out. She was shaking slightly, but she didn't dare move.

The shimmering white wolf watched the small pup. She could easily see she was afraid. She gave a gentle smile. Her deep, dark eyes shimmered with care. She wagged her tail ever so slightly. She didn't like how she had scared the pup.
"Hush child," she said gently. "I will not hurt you." She said and smiled.. again.
