He smiled for a moment at the bitter-sweetness of this moment. He looked back at Flame, regret flashing in his eyes. He mouthed the words, "I am sorry." and grabbed onto her scruff as well. When he hit the bottom, he felt his lungs screaming for air. He smiled at Flame. She had done him a favor. She had done EVERYONE a favor. He didn't belong in this world andymore. Death choked as his life flashed before his eyes. When Redfang rejected him, when Lucinda fed him, when Slash took him for his first feeding, when he had lost his sanity completely. All of it. It seemed like he was watching it forever, and yet it was over in a blink. His crimson eyes closed for the last time. And there they lay, brother and sister, dead on the bottom of the blood-stained Mirror Lake.
