ALiya nodded.Understandingly."Something tells me she will be here."her tone was kind.

Sothis nodded."I'm not sure."He murmered.

Sirius sighed and looked around once more. He still couldn't find her. When he did, she'd get one hell of a piece of his mind. Leaving him as leader and not even telling him! No, he had to find out through a pup! That was degrading but not what made Sirius uneasy.

Skysong sighed and padded over to Sirius, curling up between his front paws, back against his soft ebony belly fur.

Accalia let go of Grug's leg. "Laughing to death is phiscally impossible unless you're laughing like a maniac. I expected even you knew that."

Grug nuzzled Accalia's head gently. "I'm glad I have a cousin like you and Gaara. Don't know what'd I do without you guys. Whenever I think of you making for silly mistakes, well.." Grug looked into the sky. "You make me happy and glad that I have you."

Gaara nodded. "At least you don't live with her. She talks so much, I think I'm going to go deaf. Sometimes I just want to throw her over a cliff." Gaara finally laughed. It felt weird. He had never smiled nor laughed. This was different. So this is what it's like to be happy.

Zuni noticed Gaara's suprised face. "It's the first time you actually smiled and laughed, eh? Wow, that's interesting."

Silver padded away from the gathering, sitting on the fringe of the crowd, studying the other wolves. Talk buzzed like a gathering of crows during their migration. So many rumors and tales that no one knew what was true and what was a lie. Silver's forest colored eyes lingered on certain wolves, Sirius, Bluefrost, Grug, Zuni, Aliya, Night. All wolves she'd met. Soon enough they'd be journeying to some unknown land. Again Silver's eyes landed on Zuni. She still wasn't decided on how she felt about the brute. He was a good wolf, a good friend. Always happy but was it enough to call him a mate? Silver sighed, still deep in thought, emerald eyes on Zuni's ivory form as he mingled among his family.

Zuni looked away from Gaara and towards Silver. He noticed her staring at him. He tilted his head to one side in confusedness. "Silver..."

Gaara looked in Zuni's direction. A sudden thought came into his mind. I may have smiled for the first time in my life, but I'll probably never understand love. This was my curse that would never leave me.

Accalia looked at Zuni, then Gaara, then back again. "She's really pretty. Do you two know each other?"

Grug rolled his eyes. "Duh. That was the wolf you saw last time. Remember?"

Seeing Zuni looking at her, Silver's eyes snapped away from him. Her gaze rested instead on Bluefrost whom was talking with Ebony while Reige perched nearby, listening intently with a silly happy expression on his maw. Silver rose to her paws and started toward them, moving slowly.

Zuni watched as Silver walked away. He looked down at Gaara, then Accalia. "Um, yea. You have to remember her from last time you came here. Of course Gaara, this will be your first and last time you have a meeting in this land."

Accalia nodded. "I remember now. It was after that fire. It seemed so long ago."

Gaara pricked his ears. "A fire? No one ever tells me anything." He stood up and walked towards the forest, but stopped at its edge. He gazed into the trees unblinking.

Grug watched him go. "Maybe he wants to be alone.Lets leave him be."

Bluefrost saw Silver coming and jumped to her paws. The blue-toned femme padded over to her friend with a frown on her face. "Go talk to him now" Bluefrost growled.

"Why?" Silver asked. "There's nothing really to talk about. If we leave, we're going to the same place."

Bluefrost frowned deeply at her friend. "Go."

Silver rolled her eyes. "Fine."

Silver angled her pace toward the group though she stopped short, sitting on her hunches near a group of GreyMist wolves, some she knew and some she didn't.

Accalia looked at Grug and Zuni. "I hear Gaara is cursed," she suddenly said. "You know how he usually is expressionless. And how this was the first time smiling. Well, I heard my mom say before she was killed that in one of her dreams, one of her children would be cursed for all of eternity!"

Grug sat looking at Accalia. "Is that even possible? And what is the curse, anyway."

Zuni lifted his head. "I think I know." He looked at Gaara, still sitting alone and looking out into the trees.

Siveria glanced around nervously, then dashed swiftly off into the woods. She had a few quick ends to tie up before they departed.

Sparkling Ember, Riku, and Mist joined the assembled wolves. Riku scanned the crowd for signs of his sister, Hazel, or his mother, Snow.

Nightshade gasped in shock when she saw Blue Moon and Carolina come bounding up to her. "Mother....something went wrong with Faun. She...has amnesia. She doesn't even remember anything anymore...." Nightshade frowned deeply. This was bad, bery bad. She'd been doubting her decision to send Blue Moon to Grey Mist for a while....now her doubts were confirmed.

"Who's your little friend, dear?" She asked sweetly.

"I'm Carolina, Miss." Carolina replied, polite but shy.

Carolina was Storm's pup, Nightshade realized. That meant her father was Thoth....was he aware that his daughter had run off?

"If it's not too much to ask...Blue Moon and I both think we'd be better in Silver Mist. We don't want to stay here any longer than we have to. We can decide further once we get to...well, wherever it is we're going." Carolina spoke.

Nightshade nodded. "I'll speak to Siv after the gathering....I can't seem to find her at the moment."
