( If only I had a guy who would forget murdering my parents and being the god of death just for me. Wait... that's a bit messed up... Oh well. Show's how aweful awesome we are here at WotM to think up something like that!)

(lol/ maybe someday the god of death will come and murder your parents, and then you'll get married ... now that you mention it, it DOES show how much we think outside of the box XD)

( LOL I think "outside the box" is saying it lightly!)
Rhain opened her lovely green eyes and gazed up into Lupus' golden ones. She could've sworn she was dreaming, but if it was only a dream, it was one she never wanted to wake up from. Far from the nightmare she'd left behind. "L-Lupus.....please....never leave me again...." she whispered, her voice wispy and nearly nonexsistant. She buried her head in his fur, wanting nothing more than to drown in his scent, and maybe then this heavenly fantasy could be real.
Do you live, do you die, do you breathe, for the fantasy? In your mind, through your eyes, do you see? It's the fantasy... Automatic, I imagine, I believe....

Lupus curled around Rhain, holding her in a warm embrace. "I'm so sorry." His heart was pounding like the running paws of wolves at wartime. He closed his eyes and touched his muzzle to her's, and held it there... And together they stood, water running through his fur.

Rhain trembled, unable to hide her tears of relief, joy, and sadness. Never again would she leave his side. Lupus was her world, her afterlife....her life support. He was the one thing that kept her going.
The water patterned her pelt, causing her to turn an indigo color. The Mirror Stone was buried deep in the sand, forever shattered and sunk.
Rhain lightly brushed his muzzle, elated to know he was there with her, that this was real, not a figment of her tangled imagination.

Golden pools met her emerald orbs. "I love you... more than anything," Lupus mouthed through the water. He brushed muzzles with her again. So... Thorn was right... love could conquer even this.

Rhain smiled widely. These words banished the rest of her ghostly slumber. "And I love you as well. I always will," she promised.

His heart tugged at him... he felt warm again. His eyes grew softer. Tears of relief poured from his eyes (his old, loving eyes) and dissolved into the water around him. Beneath his hind paws, the Mirror Stone sank deeper... and disappeared from sight in seconds.

It seemed to last forever to Rhain, but in reality, they'd only been underwater for a few moments. It was in that few moments, that darkness made its move.
Snare, Sylvana, Risika, Assyria crept forward. They had sent for reinforcements a bit ago, so more Blood Mist warriors would be arriving soon. Snare smiled devilishly when she thought back to the sinking of the stone. There would be a battle here, tonight. And there would be more blood than water in the lake by the time they were through.
Crouching low, she flicked her tail and lunged at Lucinda. "ATTACK!"

Diablo turned, flattening his ears against his head. "Damnit!" He lunged, swiping at Lucinda's attacker.... Even though he had been away from BloodMist for quite a while, he had still trained with them longer than any of these wolves. After a few moments, he fought with the strength he had in his prime.
Lupus did not want this moment to end... but he sensed something. Something bad. In moments, he heard it, too.

(Feel free to send in your Blood Misties! ) Snare snared with fury as she was thrawted from her initial target. No one messed with her when she was in a killing mood! She winced at Diablo's blows, but they made her very, very angry. She slashed at his throat.

(they're comin soon)
Diablo growled. "Well, I can see that saving your life didn't keep you away from my family, eh?" He shoved her away. He had taken pity on his former packmate during battle when Scar had pleaded for her safety, but if it had meant putting his family in danger, he wouldn't extend the offer again.
Zeffen snarled, racing up to the others. He pounced on Liv, swiping furiously.

Liv dashed away at the last second, startled by the sudden conflict.
"Liv RUN!" Lucinda thrust herself in front of her daughter and slashed at Zeffen. "Nobody. Hurts. My. Daughter!" She snarled fiercly.
What happened next was a series of unfortunate events, all happening in a precise order and time.
Sylvana flew at an unsuspecting Lucinda, knocking the wind out of her and pinning her down.
Assyria had done a similar attack on Liviana, but it had knocked the shocked neophyte out cold. Assryia dragged Liv's limp form up a tree, to a branch that hung low over the lake.
"Wnough games, Diablo! What's it going to be, your daughter, or your mate?!" She snarled at him menacingly. Snare laughed as if this was the most hilarious thing imaginable.
"Sound familiar? Bring back any old nightmares, Diablo?!" Snare cackled.

(HOLY CRAP-- I REMEMBER THIS 0.0)
Rage filled him, along with an emotion that was so unfamiliar to him: fear. The first time he felt fear. Diablo took a pawstep foward, hackles rising. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?"

Mirage crouched hidden in the undergrowth near the Mirror Stone. Her black pelt hid her well from the eyes of attacking wolves. Every nerve was buzzing with feelings of fear and rage that were not her own. Sometimes being an empath wasn't worth it. Mirage tensed, waiting for an opprotunity to attack.
