"You have five seconds to choose or we'll kill them BOTH," Risika snarled. "One, two, three, four...." Her menacingly crimson eyes glared hungrily back at Diablo.

"Five."

Liviana snapped out of her slumber and bit down on Assyria's tail. Assryia lost her grip on Liv, and they both crashed into the water, a writhing mass of fur.

Lucinda's eyes flooded with blood, and she screamed in pain as she felt every inch of her body being torn open.
"DIABLO!"

And everything went black.

[Ärï]

"Liv!" Mirage barked. Crashing out of the bushes, Mirage leapt into the water. Lucinda was for Diablo to save. Mirage kicked out at the water, pushing herself lower into the darkened water. Her lungs were protesting greatly. Seeing the shadowy shapes, Mirage pushed on. Her fangs grabbed Liv's scruff. Mirage kicked upward, dragging them both up but Lucinda's pain and fury from the wolves around her was making her mind slip. Mirage struggled to focus.

[.Rabid Lycan.]

Lupus looked upward, through the water to the surface. "Rhain..."

Diablo turned to his daughter, but saw another wolf emerge to assist her. He closed his eyes, and shot to Lucinda's side. "Lucinda!"

[Sivoncé™]

Lucinda's limp, bloody form laid before Diablo. The Blood Mist wolves retreated into the shadows, satisfied with their latest escapade. Liviana scramble out of the water and to her mother's side, where she wept profusely. "No...noo....this is all...my...fault...."

Rhain gasped in horror as she broke the surface. Her daughter...her beautiful daughter....dead..... "No....no...."

[Ärï]

Mirage laid half in the water and half out. She was shaking like a leaf in the wind. So much dying. So much sorrow. Mirage's hind limbs were braced against a stone just under the water's surface. Until it slid under her weight. Mirage slid backwards into the water. Mirage yelped but it was cut off as water flooded into her mouth. Her limbs jerked but she couldn't move. Emotional overload.

(wow I leave for a few hours and Rhain came back from the dead and a battle started. Great :

Diablo closed his eyes, trembling. "Lucinda..." Images of his neophyte scampering into the Healer's den for the first time.... images of them sitting together and brushing muzzles.... images of them raising their family...
They all seem to evaporate to steam as he lifted his head mournfully and howled, tears in his eyes. Then, he leaned down and licked Lucinda's forehead lovingly. "R-rest in peace, Lucinda...."
He took a shaky step back. Now his eyes were not of sorrow, but of complete and utter rage. He looked over to Mirage, and padded foward to haul the wolf out of the water. His eyes cold and hard, he dragged the fae onto dry land, and turned to stalk into the undergrowth. If everyone thinks that they can take everything from me, then they are wrong... Lucinda walks with me in spirit. And until I join her as a ghost, I will send everyone and anyone who stands in the way of revenge...

Lupus crawled onto the shore, gazing at the bloody mess of fur on the lakebed. He bowed his head. "Lucinda.... a good Healer, an even better mother." The wolf stood and approached the body. Kneeling, he closed Lucinda's eyes with his paws, and then murmured, "You will be recieved with enthusiasm... and I hope you find peace in the realms."
Finally, Lupus straightened himself, looking after Diablo. A still-loyal follower of his own... His orbs dimmed with sympathy.

[mudfang]

(and then Lucinda d- WAIT! LUCINDA DIED?! NOOOOOOO!)

(ahem, someone might want to find mirage, she's kinda drowning)

( Yes...Lucinda died. )

Rhain struggled out of the lake, eyes resting upon the still body of her dearest daughter. Lucinda, the daughter she'd never stopped loving, even when it proved to be her own undoing, laid dead before her. She closed her eyes, "Lucinda, you'll be welcomed greatly in the realms of seasons. May you make your peace there untill we can meet you," She whispered. She shed no tears, but raised her head to stare Diablo straight in the eyes. "Diablo...Liviana is still safe, for now. If you want the remainder of your family to remain safe, I suggest you head into the mountains and stay there untill the packs pass through. Follow the packs and find your place in the new terras."

[.Rabid Lycan.]

("He looked over to Mirage, and padded foward to haul the wolf out of the water..." Diablo dragged Mirage out of the water already)

Diablo flicked his ears, and swiveled about to lock gazes with Rhain. He didn't answer, but lowered his head, and continued to pad away. His heart broken. His world shattered.
His nightmares a cruel, twisted reality.

Mirage rose shakily to her paws. She needed to get out of here. Mirage turned and padded into the bushes, leaves whispering behind her as she moved. She needed to find a place clear of wolves, or at least wolves with outragious emotions.

(it alright... wow, I feel sorry for everyone involved with this thread:
Lupus- regretful for killing Rhain's parents
Rhain- nearly died of heartbreak
Diablo- lost his mate
Liviana- lost her mom
Lucinda- .... duh...
Mirage- empath OVERLOAD)

Liviana spluttered and coughed. She looked up to see her father padding away. Tears sprouted in her eyes. Had her father simply given up? "D-Dad?"

[.Rabid Lycan.]

Diablo staggered to a halt. "Go to SilverMist camp, Liviana... Now." Jaded and mournful, he gingerly took another pace. "... please..." The wolf closed his scarred eyes and let his paws lead him through the forest.
Today this can't hurt me.... but tomorrow, tomorrow I will know she is dead... and for the rest of my life...
