The hot water steamed, sending clouds of water vapor up into the already dripping atmosphere. Breathing was a little difficult when the air was full of moisture than invaded your lungs and could barely get back out into the air.
Her fur was dripping steadily before she even reached the spring. Her eyes burned from the water that kept sneaking past her eyelashes. Rubbing the water away from her eyes was impossible, especially when her paws were also wet.
It was only the time when Orange reached the waterside that she began to think that she didn't really like hot water all that much. No sweatglands and a humid atmosphere added up to a very upset wolf.
Shaking her stream-line cranium and snorting water from her nose, Orange tentively dipped her paw into the water. It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't as bad as she'd come to think. Either way, she was dirty and didn't feel like going to a stream to wash, so there was only one thing for it.
She jumped in, gasping just before the water enclosed her head, instantly trying to kill her by suffocation. But, there was also an extra bouyancy in the water, and soon Orange was paddling listlessly in circles.
Her chest which had been hurting for a while now relaxed with the soothing pressure and warmth of the water. But her throat still cried in agony, and bellowed in pain when she was seized in a coughing fit, swimming and coughing at the same time isn't easy, so Orange scrambled to shore and fell down.
Her cough only increased, making her gasp for breath between each cough. Her lungs protesting at the lack of air getting in. Spittle flew from her jaws, but eventually the cough seized.
Feeling weak, Orange just closed her eyes and lay there.
