Nova's slender tri-colored form wove through the forest toward the Crystal Cavern. She hadn't explored here much but she knew it was a place where she could be alone. Sapphire eyes so like those of the beloved Sheeran Beta, Azari, gazed ahead as she entered the darkened cavern. No one would find her here. No one would bother to look. Nobody cared if she vanished. They were too busy moving on with their lives. The day after her father's death, blood had been spilled. She had had no time to mourn. No one had gone after Azari's killer. Mist had left the wolf go, probably miles away by now killing some other beloved wolf. Nova growled at the thought.
Padding over to a blue crystaline structure, she sat beside it, staring into the blue crystals that shared her eye color. The cavern was beautiful and quiet, like Nova was now. Azari had been the only one to really care. Tundra had taken Desel and fled once more and that left Nova alone, mourning on her own and seething with hate for the wolf that had slain her father. She could no longer walk in his shadow, nor could she expect Mist to go after Ari's killer. It was frustrating, infuriating.
Turning her muzzle toward the cavern roof without thinking Nova let out a long howl of frustration and sadness. She felt so alone but nobody cared....

Clear sapphire eyes glistened in the shadows. They were so solumn so precious... they could be mistaken for the crytals themselves. They shimmered with a depression so deep so slumn so secretive... The form of the bulky wolf these crytals belonged to was hidden deep within the shadows where he had left it long ago. He knew that the shadow that hides his very soul would never have light shined upon it.
He had a mother. Now he doesn't. She left. She didn't care for him. His father you ask? Deceased. Dead. Joining the Twilight wolves leaving the young brute alone to the pack to fend for himself. Alone.. not cared for.. depressed with a shadowy soul.

Nova didn't notice the shadow of another wolf near her. She was too lost in mournful thoughts and ideas of revenge th bother paying attention. The scent of Sheeran wolves was all through this crystal-lined cavern so the scent of another wolf was easily missed when one wasn't paying attention. Nova simply laid beside the sapphire crystals, gazing into the shadowy crevices of the cavern. In this place she could wallow in her dark thoughts and simply let her sorrow show. When around the pack she turned cold and recluse but here she could let her misery be seen, sapphire eyes drowning in sadness and misery, all alone to face the darkened future waiting on her horizon.

The sapphires shimmered and flooded with clear beautiful tears though nothing visable in the common shadow it was as if an angel was shedding tears as one tear shimmered a silver light then disapeared. The deep misery shown in these crystals. The true misery shown in them one would never know. They shimmered with pain and drowned in misery. They glistened with agony and shined with anguish. A tortured soul this showed. The torment it took to live shimmered lively in these eyes.

Nova turned her head a bit and her sapphire eyes drowning in sadness locked onto another set of azure eyes. Her surprise was dulled by her mourning. She wouldn't fight now. Nova simply stared back at the dark wolf in the shadows. She felt no fear. There were no rouge scents here, nothing for her to fear apart from another Sheeran. A Sheeran hadn't slain her father. She wouldn't fear them. Instead, Nova simply gazed back at the misery-filled eyes of the shadow, silent tears running from her beautiful sky-toned orbs.

The shimmering eyes locked onto the pair of azure eyes before him. He felt no fear for the agony had numbed him of any feeling. His eyes confined into hers. He stared with her own agony adding to his. Her own agony pouring into the already overflowing pools of azure. His eyes glistened with the torment of his very soul. His eyes stayed confined to hers to insenate to look away. To lethargic.

Moving slowly, Nova rose to her paws and slowly walked closer to him, one pawstep at a time. She didn't want him to run off for some reason. She just wanted to know...wanted to know she wasn't as alone as she thought. When she was near, she breathed in slowly. He smelled of the Sheeran Pack though Nova was fairly sure she hadn't met him before. Leaning forward, she touched her muzzle to his lightly. He was solid. So she wasn't alone in this world? Not physically but on an emotional level, Nova felt drowned out, alone and silent. Nova pulled back a little, not wanting to get a negative reaction out of the brute or chase him off. She couldn't help but feel a little curious through her mourning.

He stayed still. Still as though his very soul had been frozen in the frost that will soon cover the ground. His eyes had the same glisten. His mind blocked all from entering. His mind was different. It was protected as if he was afraid someone would break in and steal his inner thoughts. He too, though in all his misery and depression, was as curious as she. He watched as she approached and touched her gentle composure to his. He stayed locked in position.

Nova took a few steps back, watching the brute with still-sad eyes. "I shouldn't mourn" she murmured. She saw true sadness in that brute's eyes. He had more rights to cry then she did and yet tears fell like rain, dappling the ground at her paws. "I don't know true misery but...I know loneliness. It's not the same." Her words came as a soft whisper, almost unheard. Turning, Nova began to step away. Something in that brute's eyes shook her to her core and almost scared her. A broken heart she wore, seemed to have been shattered with sadness, sadness she'd seen in that wolf's eyes.

When he spoke his soft velvet voice seemed to be glazed with something close to agony. He gazed at her with eyes of sapphire. "You and I alike have suffered loss." in the soft voice. "You and I alike have suffered lonliness." he said this with a thinner layer of agony. He spoke with depression that fogged his own soul. He had suffered so much in his short life. He wasn't sure if he should shorten it. He argued in his mind each moment of his life if he should.

Nova turned to look back at the brute, meeting his eyes of azure. "Yes" Nova murmured softly. "I suppose moving on is the hardest part." Slowly she turned so that she was fully facing him again, rather then just looking over her shoulder. She was much like Tundra, a beauty in many respects, tri-colored fur laying perfectly over a slender lean-muscled form. Her eyes however, were the deep blue that only Azari could have acheived. They were the only things linking her to Ari now, everytime she looked at her reflection.

He stood his eyes hidden in the shadows. Only his eyes that shimmered somberly in the remaining light. He took two steps out of the shadows his shaggy fur following his build as he sat with his forebody sitting now out of the shadow. He touched his ice-cold nose to hers. "But there is a time.. when circumstances are at such a length. You must let go. In my case if letting go means losing something not as dear as it should then that is what I will do." His life. Not dear to him. Not respectful. With no meaning in life what was the point?

Nova leaned forward a bit, brushing her nose against his muzzle. "There is a time to let go" Nova agreed, her words soft, almost shy. "There's also...a way to let go." The young neophyte kept her eyes on the brute. He was large, surprisingly almost the size of a warrior though she was fairly sure he wasn't, or at least not one she remembered but whatever, she didn't pay much attention to wolves nowadays. Nova was concerned though. The misery in his eyes seemed...very strong to say the least. It frightened her at the thought of what he might do.

He had agony drizzling across his eyes. "There are times.." he paused and took a breath. "Where only heavily desperate measures can numb pain that never ceased to cause agony and cast a shadow across one's soul." He said and looked away from her gaze. He looked towards the outside world. The one in which pain had stricken through him each time he felt his tormented soul was finally healed. He had given up completely.. hiding anywhere but near the pack.

"Don't bend to temptation for you'll come to regret it one day" Nova murmured softly, remembering what Azari had told her while mourning Tundra's disappearance, believing it to be her deserting him. It had been for her mother had yet to dare show herself. Nova padded closer to the brute, sitting beside him, her soft fur brushing his side ever so slightly. Her eyes fixed on the crystals all around them, contemplating her own sorrow and anguish.
