Sabela took his place and shared her news. "The Siverians have not found a remedy to this illness, neither. We have taken on a heavy downfall with the illness taking the life of our beloved proxy. Riley was found dead in the terras just yesterday." her ears drooped slightly, her tail following, but her voice remained steady. "With the passing of our proxy we have announced our new proxy as Mystic." She allowed a few seconds of acknowledgement to the young wolf then continued her news. "With dark news always comes bright news. Six pups have traveled to the stage of neophyteship. Severian, Briggitte, Palenia, Luna, Kippy, and Weed have become neophytes. Mystic, Moss, Svend, Avarius, Rebenior, and I mentoring the pups." she took a breathe after naming the neophytes and mentors then continued to the warriors. "Also, Freya, Tavel, and Blair have become proeliaters." she acknowledged the new neophytes, mentors, and proeliaters that had come to the meeting. After a few moments she stepped back.

Light sighed gravely.
Kiba nodded her congratulations to Blair and Tavel, who were sitting nearby. They smiled warmly and Blair coughed.

Mystic nodded slightly, feeling unworthy of the praise she was given.
Freya blushed as her name was announced, then fell into a coughing fit.
Sadness filled many hearts as news of Riley spread through the assembled wolves.
Owen shifted uneasily towards Sirius, wondering what the Destinians had to report. Pray there be no more deaths...

Kiba frowned deeply. More deaths? My Lupus... Concern for her mate filled her and she glanced at him worriedly. He may never see their... no. That was nonsense. They weren't having pups. Another painful stab.

Kunai sighed and layyed down. He didn't want to hear any of his family member's name. They don't even know that his six brothers and sisters are relative to him. It's best to stay away unless they go to him. It would just be plain rude to walk away from them at the age. No one but some of the pack that he is in knows that he has brothers and sisters from different packs. It's sad. They must not know. Not yet.

Light jumped as he heard something. Some wolf. Maybe... a cry? "What the Hellfire was that?"

Sabela's eyes flooded with tears, and she mournfully blinked them away at Light's words. She perked her ears, but heard nothing and flicked them back. It wouldn't be different from Dashina's wails if a cry had broken out. Kuno's form edged into the meeting, he had hung back, as he felt out of place when around other wolves. His once ivory fur was completely black, though once it had just been an inch-thick ring on his tail. His dark green eyes were solemn, and depressed. He felt a strong urge to take a sharpened claw and... But something kept him from that state of martyrdom.. something that couldn't be explained. He felt as though he was putting someone down if he let the longing for a painful, suffering death that he felt he deserved.

Light shook his head in frustration. "Probably nothing."
Kiba frowned. She wasn't convinced.

Mist's eyes were wide, and they settled on one of the highest point in the forest. Her form was stiff, but she could be seen trembling a bit. She swallowed hard in an attempt to control herself, but shared a brief glance with Light. "I'll be needing to speak with you after this meeting." she murmured softly. She turned towards Sirius, hoping the rest of the meeting wouldn't take long.

"I'll have time." Light choked out.
Kiba's concern grew.

After scanning the crowd, Mist realized that her fears were indeed correct. I swear if anything happens to your daughter, brother... She closed her eyes for a moment, then snapped them open to send Light another glance. ...I swear there will be blood to pay.

Light dug his claws into the ground. What was making Mist so hostile toward him? He, too scanned the crowd. Nothing out of the ord- Wait. Where was Okashii?

Sabela snapped her head towards them. She craned her head towards Mist and muttered. "Something is wrong, I can feel it." her fur bristled, sending her fur spiking up her spine. Her claws flexed. She opened her mouth to speak to Light, but instead of words coming out, a tangy scent drifted in. She leapt to her feet, her tail lashing. She didn't want to cause alarm to the packs, but the scent was so strong. She slowly sat back down her limbs tense. "Blood." she barked quietly to Mist. "Something is wrong!" she whispered so quietly that Mist might have not heard. "Mist, this meeting has to end! Now!" she barked a little louder, but still in a whisper.

Light shifted his weight between paws. His tail twitched nervously and his claws sunk into the ground. I need to go back... there should be more warriors in that camp...
Even Tisana wore a concerned look on her face. She could smell trouble...
(I can imagine Tisana as Beggar right now XP 'MISCHEIF! MISCHEIF!' XD)

Mist was tempted to say so herself, but merely looked to Sirius. Her paws were screaming at her to run, run far from this place and find her neice before something dark happened. But in her heart, she knew that it was too late...something had already gone wrong... Mist shook her head slightly. "Let the meeting continue without the Sheerans. Seidei, please lead them back. I will be with you shortly." And with that, the alphess dropped from the stone and darted away into the brush.
