Serra was startled out of ehr trance as Sunblaze came over to her her. Flicking one aud she looked up at her sister."Huh?Oh,oh."Serra thought for a moment. Then looked away again."A bit.Father came to me.To save me from Fate. And I don't just mean my actual fate, I also mean our aunt Fate."Serra stumbled over the words as if she still could only half beleive them herself.
Fate opened one eye. Her paws did'nt work yet.But she found, with some pain, she could freely move her head and neck. The femme lifted it.Looking in Roman's direction.A deep sadness hidden far behind her angery bloodlust.A bad childhood had caused anger.Ronin, her older brother, had seen her anger and nurtured it.Training her into a vicious wolf. Fate only half knew these things. The femme had been rescued from the Realm between life and death.Dragged into the Realm Of Eternal Twilight.Allowed to see paradise. But she had missed seeing her life.Everything that happened. She did'tn remember her painful pup hood veyr well.Just Ronin teaching her things.

"Well pup? Say it, I don't have all day. You can go to Hellfire or the Realm but staying in the Dream Realm will not help" Roman barked, sitting back on his hunches. The noble ivory brute looked down at Fate. He knew there had been a fight here. He coul still sense the anger and fury he had felt before his own death though he didn't remember why.
Sunblaze nodded, looking out at the falling rain. "I remember when he would come to me" Sunblaze murmured. "He came to save me too, save me from what I would have become. The last time I saw him he told me something but...I couldn't hear it. It was when I was clouded by anger and hate and rage toward Ronin. He never repeated what he said but I know it was some truth that I would have known had my heart stayed clear of such darkness." Sunblaze's topaz eyes gazed out of the den at the rain-soaked land around them. "He helped me. He saved you. Whatever comes your way Serra, Kojo and Faith will lead you, they always have before, whether we acknowledge it or not."

Serra's gaze drifted to her sister.Thinking of Faith. She'd never much liked her mother."Faith might have been alive, but Kojo has done more to help us then she ever did.She was always so wound up in her own worries that she never helped us out. Maybe things would be differant had she not told us Ronin was our father. You,you knew it was a lie. I, I did'nt.Never suspected it."Tone was a blend of icy cold and soft and warm.
Fate laughed dryly."I'll go wherever I'm worthy to go.If I'm cursed to Hellfire because of things taught and a mind never changed. And one murder commited. Then I'm cursed to Hellfire. If i'm worthy of forgiveness. Then the Twilight Realm is where I lie.but I care about neither. What I want to know, I doubt you can show me."Her tone was icy, but the sorrow leaked into it.The hidden sorrow that had been masked by years of hatered and anger.

"Yes but had Kojo not interceeded I would have been as ignorant as you. Kojo and Faith gave us life but Ronin let us keep it. We had no reason to doubt him until someone that wasn't afraid to speak the truth stepped in" Sunblaze barked, gazing out of the den, lost in thought and memories of her puphood with Serra, Faith and Ronin. "Kojo is trying to help you now Serra. Let him try and if you ever need help, I'll always be there to help you." Sunblaze turned her liquid honey gaze to meet Serra's eyes, honesty in her eyes and truth in her voice.
Roman watched Fate and slowly rose to his paws, approaching the fae. Laying down so that his head was near hers, Roman reached forward and touched his nose lightly to Fate's. Truth could be found in unlikely places but to know the truth, Roman had to know Fate, her heart, her memories, her living time.

A series of emotions flew through Fate all at one once, blended with painful memories and a few happier ones. She was remembering.
"You can't catch me!"Her paws slammed against the ground. She laughed happily. Both her sisters, Faith and Hope, chased after her. The threesome were about four moons old. The crsip winter snow crackled loudly beneath paws. The laughter of young faes in the air.For now. Fate skidded to a halt.Tail wagging as she looked up at the brute and the fae. Her mother. "Hi mommy!"She barked happily.Licking her mother's face. Fate lept back in surprise and whimpered when her mother responded by snapping at her. Looking darkly at her. Faith and Hope quivered as they got the same reaction from Rane, the male. Not their father, just some brute. "M-mommy?"Fate's voice quivered. But it was not her mother who spoke."Were leaving, me and Shadow Walker, your not coming with us.Stay here. Your old enought to look after yourselves and don't you dare follow!"Snarled Rane as he gave Shadow Walker a slight shove. The femme didn't stumble but only responded by turning and dashing away. Not looking back.Rane followed. Fate quivered. But only squeaked in surprise at her sister's reactions. Neither seemed to care much. Hope only looked solemn. Fate watched as the fae turned and disappeared into the forest. Faith looked angry. Fate gasped as her sister ran after their mother and Rane. The small fae was afraid. No mother. They had never had a father. No sisters. She couldn't even hunt! Slowly she managed to stumble off into the woods.Collapsing into the snow by a tree.
Fate's body trembled as if she could feel the iciness of that day still. The wind slapping her. The snow pulling her into a slumber which she hadn't known if she'd wake from, and hadn't cared too most likely. The loneliness, the sense of betrayel. The sadness. The anger. Her mother and sisters, her family, gone. Like a puff of wind. Gone.Oh, how her heart had ached that night. The night her puphood ended.
Serra turned to Sunblaze. She didn't speak, didn't need too. Her eyes said it all. I'll let him try. But i doubt he can help me now.

Sunblaze leaned toward her sister, resting her head against Serra's shoulder, as if she'd butted her sister's shoulder but simply pressed her forehead against her sister's darker fur. She missed the days when she and Serra had played tag and explored the clearing outside their den under Faith's motherly gaze. Their puphood had ended too soon. Too soon they'd been thrown into the world of grown wolves, forced to fight before a normal pup would be named a neopyte. They had seen cruelty, felt it and had been part of it. Now they had to leave behind the past and search for the future.
Roman withdrew his touch from Fate. His deep brown gaze seemed to show sympathy, not pity for he knew that would enrage the femme. Raising his head Roman gazed down at Fate. "Your path is open to choose. Find peace with what you have done and what has been done to you and forgive, the gate to the Twilight Realm will open for you but habor this hate and betrayal and it will throw you into Hellfire faster then any Twilight wolf." Moonlight made his musclar ivory form shimmer and seem to glow with heavenly light, the light all Twilight wolves had when under the starlight. Roman's color matched that of the moon or fresh snow, deep eyes handsome and wise.

Fate gazed up at him.Thinking.Could she find the peace in herself that he spoke of?Could she forgive? She could. Her mother had done what she had done for a reason. Rane had only been protecting them. Hope and Faith had had to survive.Ronin, she could even forgive Ronin. He'd had his own mind twisted by his father. That was why Shadow Walker had abonded him. Left him before she had us.They could all be forgiven. Finally the femme rose to her paws.Standing her full height, tall and proud she actually smiled slightly at Roman.Just slightly. "Then, let the Twlight Realm be my residence."Tone wasn't soft and melodic, or sweet and sugary. But it did have a certain kindess too it. A certain niceness.
Serra sighed.Gazing out into the rain as it poured down from the heavens.

Sunblaze raised her head, honey eyes looking oddly troubled, as if someone was torturing her inside. Rising to her paws, Sunblaze turned and started to leave the den, her paws leaving delicate marks in the softened earth. She felt....unwell. Something was coming and she didn't like the feel of it. Her instincts told her something was amiss, other then Serra's change of heart that still seemed so dark.
Roman rose to his paws. "Very well" Roman barked, his voice calm and a smile in his eyes rather then his maw. Turning, the ivory brute floated through the undergrowth to the Realm of Twilight where the noble, brave and salvaged souls dwelled. For Roman this place was the only home he remembered. After his death it had all vanished.

Serra watched her sister go.But she felt herself drifting into sleep.
Fate padded after Roman. Icy pools following his movements. How long had this wise wolf been dead? Hundreds of years she would have guessed by his wisdom.
The snowy brute gasped and coughed. Icy cold water erupting from his maw as he spit it up. Pelt soaking wet and dripping. He trembled violently with the cold.Eyes glazed from the numbness he now felt. Nothing wanted to work. He lay on his side on the riverbank. Water rushing violently by next to him. Somehow he had managed to drag himself from it's icy grip.Thite shuddered in volunterily.

Sunblaze found herself running back toward the Shanti River. Her paws were turned brown almost instantly with the mud but she didn't care. She recognized the smell now. It was Thite. Sun ran faster. Finally she found him, trembling in the rain and soaked through. "Thite!" Sunblaze barked, leaping down the riverbank and bounding to his side. Licking water from his eyes and muzzle lovingly, Sunblaze nudged his muzzle with hers, trying to rouse him.

Thite grunted something quietly. The soft warmth of some wolf's tounge rasping over his face and his eyes. Warming them. He felt the femme's muzzle nudge his.The scent was so familier. Finally he recognized it. It was Sunblaze. One soft blue pool opened, then the other. "Sunblaze.."He murmured quietly.Voice tired and strained. Breathing was slowly returning to regular.Slowly. Her beautiful golden pelt so close to him. Her scent was heavenly. Her voice like music to his auds. She was his everything. But moveing hurt a lot. So he just lay there tiredly, breathing. Pelt soaking. Face warming with her touch.

Sunblaze let out a low whine of concern. Thite was tired, very tired and soaked to the bone. She didn't need to ask to know what had happened. Whether intentionally or not he had either jumped or been thrown into the Shanti River. This time of year it was a dangerous thing to do, esepecially during a storm. Sunblaze placed her front paw over him and gently lowered her warmer fur so she was laying on top of him but he felt none of her weight. Sunblaze's head was on his shoulder though she knew she couldn't protect him from the rain. It was freezing and he wasn't going to get any dryer laying out here.

Thite quivered slightly. He knew she was on top of him. Wamrth radiated from her form, warming his. He knew he'd freeze and die if he stayed out in this icy cold with the freezing rain soaking him more and more. For now, he just needed her warmth. Soon he would have to drag himself into some sort of a shelter.Any shelter. His breathing was becoming more normal. He was tired , but he hadn't lost the will to live. Thite began to recount what had happened. His pelt looked clean, because he was lying on the wound. Sunblaze couldn't see it and the river and rain had washed any blood from his pelt. Though he knew it was oozing out beneath him. Unless the rain washed it away quick enough Sunblaze would scent it. He'd been upstream.Gnawing on the bones of the deer he had eaten. It had filled him up pretty well. The only thing he had managed to catch in several days. That damn rouge fae had come along. Attacked him out of no where. He hadn't suspected it, though he had put up a fight. Then a second wolf had shown up.Smaller and younger. But more savage and bloodthirsty. He'd been fighting off two wolves. And trying not to kill either of them. He'd been backed into the river slightly. Then the two wolves had pounced the one time. Shoving him backward as his paws and claws scrambled on the slippery rocks. The raging water hadn't thought twice about hauling him away.

Sunblaze could smell the blood now and closed her eyes. The rain hid the tear that escaped. "Thite, we have to move. There's a badger sett near here where you can rest and warm up ok? I'll take care of your wounds and we'll get you fixed up." Sunblaze nuzzled his neck lightly. It wasn't usual for Sunblaze to be so worried and the tender sound in her voice was for Thite only. Her honey-toned optics seemed to swirl with a mix of worry and sadness as she gazed upon him. His fur was white but she knew it was an illusion. He wasn't as ok as he seemed. He had been attacked though she couldn't find the scent of the attacker.

Thite flicked an aud to show that he had heard. He moved one paw.Testing it.It was numb, like the rest of him, but it worked. "Help me up, will you Sunblaze? He murmured tiredly.Sunblaze was what kept him going.Sure , he had a sister, one he loved dearly. But they had never actually met.Thite had no way of knowing if he had any other family. Just his sister, just Svel. For he remembered her from pup-hood. But those thoughts passed him as he came back to reality. The pain screeching through him as some slight movement allowed something to stab at his wound. "I need you Sunblaze. He murmured quietly.
