Serra perked her auds when she noticed Kojo. Maybe... turning Serra winked at Thite. "He means no harm" She mouthed the words. "I won't be long." Her whisper was low and kind, Turning back towards the brute she began to pad towards him. Instinctively giving her chest fur a quick lick. Her large paws left deep prints in the earth as she neared the brute. He was handsome. Dark ebony fur. LIke her own.
Thite blinked at Serra. Then smiled a knowing smile and nodded briskly. His wnoy fur stained with fresh blood from the buck. Thite continued to eat.

Padding up the bank of the Shanti River, Atem paused. His black auds flicked up and he turned his head alertly to spot a dark femmora striding toward him. She looked large though he was sure she was still reasonably young. Atem's paws stopped and he stood, watching her come toward him with smoldering amber eyes.
Kojo circled the still ebony brute, chuckling and his amber eyes dancing with amusement. Looking at Serra he laughed, echoing for her ears, and winked before vanishing once more in a flurry of golden mist.

Serra couldn't help but allow the corner of her maw to twitch into a slight smile. Her pools glanced to her father as he disappeared. Then back to the brute. SHe continued to stride gracefully and confidently towards him. How old was he?Older then her , or so he looked. How old was she? Thirteen moons? Just barely the age a lupus proeliator might be. Or around there she guessed. Finally Serra halted. Sapphire pools caught his amber ones intently. "Hello there." Came her voice in a singsong melody. Unusual for her.

Atem took a step back, force of habit for him since he was a recluse creature at heart. Her greeting seemed awfully cheery, an unusual quality in someone that looked rouge-born. Atem inclined his head politely, amber eyes remaining on the femme, slightly suspicious. "Hello" he said, his deep tones quiet and holding a mysterious edge. Why was the femme approaching him rather then going back and staying with the brute and new mother? It was odd for femmoras to chase brutes, especially ones as intimidating as Atem.

The smile on her maw disappeared, a mischeiveous smirk appearing slightly. One or two pearly dagger like fangs gleamed in the dim light. Serra's muscles tensed slightly out of habit when he spoke. She quickly relaxed them. Or tried too anyway. The mysterieous air about him was somewhat intriguing too her. A darker look crossed her face now. Her sapphire pools became slightly darker and more dangerous. An instinctive reaction to him. Serra had always been like this around other wolves. "I go by Serra." The cheeriness in her tone was slightly weaker now. A darker edge making it's way into her voice. She cursed herself under her breath for this.

"I am Atem" Atem replied coolly, topaz eyes watching sapphire orbs darken slightly. So his aura of darkness and mystery had the same effect even on loners? Interesting. Atem's ebony shadow cast out over the snowy ground, looking like a dark imperfection on a marble landscape. "You'd best go back to the fae and brute, loners tend to think little of packwolves." Atem turned and began to walk toward the packlands again, padding slowly toward the Destinian Terra. Though he roamed from time to time in the lands of loners, Atem was still a Destinian wolf. Chasing a doe had brought him out of the terra so he had decided to explore a bit but now he didn't want to chance the other wolf, the white brute with Serra, to think him a threat to the new rouge litter.

Serra smirked darkly at this. A slight gust of wind ruffled her ebony pelt. Pools closed for a second, then re-opened. Turning she glared in Thite's direction. Twitching her tail slightly. Then she gazed back towards Atem. Calmly she mirrored his movements as he padded away. "Which pack do you belong too? Sheeran, Destinian, Siverian or Yozoran?" Her tone was calm, but the dark edge was creeping into it. She cursed herself again. Serra had been sure she had her dark side under control, but suddenly it was like he was attracting it.
Thite glowered at Serra. "Serra, I swear, if you get yourself hurt.I will not come to your rescue." Thite's tone was icy. "Your choice, dearest sister of my love." He chose his words carefuly.

"Destinian" Atem replied, slightly surprised that Serra had followed him. It was odd. Usually his lack of words and dark nature drove off other wolves. His alert auds didn't miss the dark note creeping into Serra's lyrics though Atem wasn't surprised by that. Loners learned from day one to be suspicious and Atem knew he was quite a suspicious looking wolf. He felt eyes burning into his back, no doubt the brute, but didn't turn to look. "I'm assuming you are a loner, I'm surprised you would ask about pack status."

Destinian... Destiny's pack... Her kin were there. Svel,Destiny,New Moon.... wait... were they all even alive still? She didn;t know... Serra completely ignored Thite. Like she needed him too look after her. She was big, strong, intelligent, and as far as she was concerned, in absolutely no danger. For the time being. "Destinian.. how is Destiny? Is she still alphess? And how are the pups doing. Loni, Akaira and... Rapier? I think that are there names..." Her natural dark tone was back. Her darker side was taking over now. Almost as if he was triggering it. She smirked slightly again. "Yes, I am a loner. I led a small band of faes for a while, but two of them died and the others fled when I tried to.." Her voice trailed off. Remembering how they had fled when she had decided to try and kill her uncle Ronin. Damn wolf from hellfire.

Atem's paws faultered for a moment. "Destiny has fallen, slain by Loni during a Moonless Meeting" Atem barked, his tone bland and emotionless. "Sirius rules the pack now, with Aliya as his beta." Atem wondered if Sirius had received his twelve lives yet. Last he had heard the brute had slipped out of camp alone to get his lives, leaving Aliya in charge of the pack. It was odd for Serra to ask about wolves in the pack but then agian, wolves were blood-drawn. If their kin were about, they would often go to them, whether they knew them well or not. It was habit, nature, instinct, whatever you preffered to call it.

Serra's eyes grew darker now. "Damn. Is there a wolf tempted too insanity, drawn or controlled by bloodlust, or just plain savage in every branch of my family? There's Ronin, New Moon, Loni, Fate, Me. Damn it all." The words snapped out before she had a chance to think about it. Instantly her form stiffened and her pelt bristled. Serra gave her crown a slight shake. Clearing it of such thoughts. I'm fine. Kojo is heling me. She reassured herself. "Sirius, the one who resembles Destiny's brother Nuka. He will make a fine alpha. Aliya is brave and intelligent too. A good beta I assume." Serra mused. Nuka had come to her once in a dream. Explaining her family lines too her and telling her some things about the packs.

Atem nodded. "There's a crazy one in every family" he murmured. Atem of course had no real family anymore but he didn't care that much. He did what the alpha told him when he was told. He wasn't attached to any wolf in his pack so if one turned traitor he wouldn't have a problem getting rid of it. Atem wasn't the social type anyway. That was why he spent time in the loner terras from time to time. It helped keep him mellow when he was around his pack. If someone said the wrong thing he wouldn't hurt them. Instead he would be able to contain himself and remain calm.

Serra nodded. "The worst thing is telling the differance between insanity and not being able to control yourself. SOme wolves, like myself, might be labeled slightly insane by an in-competent wolf. Others will look deeper and recognize the real problem." Serra blinked at herself. Had she really just said that? Too a complete stranger? Well.. that was differant. For a moment the darkness had eased up but now it came crashing back down. Even heavier then before.

"Depends on how deep you can look" Atem murmured softly. His thoughts ran back to his old family. Their death. A pack of rouges had divided them, killed all his brothers and sisters, slain their caretakers and taken the faes away. He remembered nearly dying himself. Another wolf had found him, saved him, brought him back to life. "The difference between control and insanity is that when you're out of control, there's someone trying to heal you." Atem's words were soft spoken as he thought back to that old GreyMist wolf that had saved him. Had he wanted saved? He still wasn't sure.

Serra flicked her aud thoughtfully at his words. So she was out of control. "Just out of curiousity. Would an out of control, slightly insane, bloodlusting femme frighten in the least? Even if she was slowly healing hrough help?" The dark edge was no longer an edge. Her words were shadowy. Muscles rippled under her pelt as her paws guided her along the muddy riverbank. Why the hellfire was she following him anyway? The answer was clear though....
