Pride shrugged, Jen was dead he might aswell clean his blinding white fur so it was no longer caked with scarlet blood. He padded right to the Shanti River, it hadn't rained in day snad the river was low and he began cleaning his fur. A scarlet trail went ahead of him and his fur slowly turned back to its noramlly white color. He then padded toward the den, shook off the water and ducked inside, "If you wonder so much, it is because you intruige me, the only wolf who hasn't ever fought back or screamed, you acctually wanted me to kill you." He woofed.
He stood, his bodice feeling cramped in such a small space and him being so large. His nose twitched and his towers flicked. He aimed them toward the healer, "Healers aren't as lowly as assasins or rapists, or killers for that matter, I would imagine healers fairly high on the scale of non-lowlyness."

"No" Mirage murmured, not looking at Pride. She stopped sniffing at the herbs and instead stared at them, eyes lost in thought. Mirage raised her eyes to look at Pride. "We clean up after you and your kind. Caring for the diseased, soothing the pained and touching those most wouldn't dare approach. We hold no fear for the disfigured for many of us are foresaken to give our lives to the damned." Mirage sighed and shook her head to chase the thought away before returning to the herbs, moving piles here and there.
Finally she found what she was looking for. It was the dried head of a poppy. Picking it up carefully, Mirage shook out three seeds and licked them up, laying down in a corner of the den, blue eyes sliding half closed.

"Yes but that's what make healers nobel, they help save the injured, my kind help kill the noble and dying," he smirked. Then noticed as she licked up the poppy seed, "Sweet dreams," he woofed. He licked her behind the ear and walked out. Suprisingly enough, he found himself liking her even though he started trying to kill her. Bad thoughts ran through his mind, killing her in her sleep, raping her while she slept. He pushed them away.

Under normal circumstances, Mirage would have argued back but of course she'd gone and drugged herself. Her mind was foggy with the coming sleep, her ear and other small wounds becoming numb. Mirage sighed and began to drift off to sleep.
Fawn's little brown form bounded toward Mirage's den. She didn't notice the brute until it was too late and she tumbled into his legs. Yelping in surprise, Fawn looked up fearfully. "Is Mirage in there?" she yipped, flicking her little tail at the den.

He glared down at her. He barked at her, "She is sleeping," whacked her away and looked in to watch her. He smirked. He licked down her head and said, "Sleep little miss," and sat by her. He glared at the brown? pup who sat outside.

Fawn caught sight of Mirage and bounded toward her, ignoring Pride. "Mirage! Rikki is sick!" Fawn barked in a panicked voice. "He's got the diseaese!"
Mirage's eyes snapped open. The electric taste of panic assalted her senses making her grimace as she raised her head. "Fawn?" Mirage barked, tasting the pup's innocent nature as she ran toward her. "What's wrong Fawn? What's wrong with Rikki?"
"He's coughing blood" Fawn whimpered, big brown eyes full of worry that left Mirage almost drowning. "He says you can't help him but I know you can! Please!?"
Mirage sighed softly. "Fawn....Oh...alright" she barked, giving up and standing. Ignoring Pride as well, she padded over to some of the herb piles and rolled two berries from a pile and a few leaves. Wrapping them in a larger fern leaf, Mirage touched it with her paw. "Tell him to eat as much of this as he can. It'll help him I promise. I'll come see him tomorrow morning."
Mirage leaned forward and touched Fawn's muzzle lightly. The pup smiled at her and grabbed the herbs before bounding off. When she was out of sight, Mirage flopped down on the floor of her den again, still groggy.

"Oh so lowly...." he said rather sarcastically, " Yes, saving lives ! How horrible!" he grasped. "I'll leave you to be sad now," he woofed and began toward the exit. Licked his chest and left the den to go fishing.
((Ohh... sorry, today me has writers block.. :X))

Mirage snorted and rose to her paws. Might as well go check Rikki now that Pride was distracted. At least she couldn't taste bloodlust anymore. That was definatly a good thing. Padding out of the den, Merci padded toward the Shanti River, following Fawn's scent. Pausing, Merci sniffed some nearby herbs and grimaced. It was an herb that had a poisonous effect on wolves. Moving gingerly, Merci drew closer and began to dig near the plant to loosen the deep tap roots.
Picking it up, Merci looked around. The bank of the Shanti River was rocky. Padding toward it, Merci moved some small boulders and placed the plant between them and found smaller boulders to cover it, crushing the plant and preventing it from growing there.
As her work finished, Mirage coughed and her stomach heaved. Having not eaten anything recently, throwing up what little she had either swallowed or breathed in wasn't easy.

Pride rolled his eyes, nothing seemed to intrest this fae. The only thing he want ed was for her to actually talk to him not to argue. He would leave the misreble fae. See what happens. He wondered if she would follow him. He highly doubted it but if she was crazy she mihgt.

Nw with an empty, painful stomach, Mirage sighed and looked around, raven auds flicking. Pride's emotions tasted different then before. She almost couldn't find a word for what it was but then her mind decided on it. Longing. He was longing for something but Mirage couldn't put her paw on what. Change? A pack? His family? Of course, Mirage was no mind reader. Just and emotion reader. Big difference. Mirage sighed and sat down. "You sure are a strange one" she muttered, more to herself then anything.

"I should say the same for you," he murmured back. His white fur bristling. The longing he felt. Sadly was for her. She couldn't know that unless she could read his mind. He doubted that. He ducked his head walking along the edge of the Shanti River. He didn't know hy he would justn ot let it swollow him up.

"You're emotions taste so odd" Mirage mused, navy eyes still on the white brute. "So confused yet so clear." Mirage chuckled to herself, still sifting through him. He was so odd. He had started out thirsting for blood and now he was longing for something he couldn't have. "Suicide isn't a wise decision. Nothing is worth a life." Mirage's eyes remained on the brute. He was quickly becoming depressed, the sour taste bitter in her mouth. "It solves nothing."

"Whoever said that has no idea what they are talking about," his snarled. Now she was getting on his nerves. He was a moody brute, what could he say? He ran forward. Lunging at her throat. tearing the ground at his paws.

Mirage felt her body being slammed backward but not nearly as hard as the fast shift of emotions. One minute depressed, the next enraged and Mirage left staggering one step behind. Her back in the ground and she felt fangs at her throat. An icy coldness settled over her. "Come on" she growled, glaring into Pride's eyes. "Rip me open. Show me you can!" she snarled. "Show me this is what you are!"

"Damn it! Damn it all!" he snarled. His eyes flaring much hotter than the fire in the suns. His lips pulled back so far his gums were visible. He knew his ego was just about to be crushed by this fae here. He could easily kill him but he felt something, nagging him in the back of the head, 'You'll regret it...' over and over again. Why couldn't he just slit her throat. 'Oh shit' he thought to himself, 'I'm smitten,' He looked away from her and got off her, releasing her from being pinned down. It was true, he had fallen for her, he was either in horrible trouble or, the river over there was still an option.
He kept his head looked away as he growled through gritted teeth, "I-I," he gupled, he was taking a seirous blow to his ego and his pride now, " I can't," he barked. A tone of hoarseness and harshness twined along. He backed away slightly. His earspinned tightly to his skull. Pink still showed around the murderer's gums and teeth. The brujo's eyes flickered with a pain and sorrow, but it vanished quickly. Being replaced by clamness. No emotion like a plain sheet of paper at a writier's desk.
