"Ebony...." Moon murmured. "H...he...left me...." A tear escaped her closed eyes, sliding down her ivory cheek. She had seen a glimpse of the Twilight wolves. One of them had been her father. His cedar-scent still filled her nose. She'd seen him not too long ago but...why was he with the Twilight wolves? He wasn't supposed to be there? More tears followed the first.
Sunblaze bounded into the clearing and skidded to a halt. Her eyes landed on Sierra and Yoru. Amber pools widened. Without hesitating she ran to her daughters, gently setting down Belle she looked at Sierra's wounds. "Dear Twilight" Sunblaze whispered. "Yoru, where's Thite?" |

Belle whimpered and stumbled to the nearest warm thing. She slid under Yoru's paw.
Yoru looked up at her mother. "He went looking for a healer a while ago. A fae and a brute were here helping Sierra when I showed up but they disappeared into the woods and haven't come back." Yoru pulled Belle closer to her.
Nezero nuzzled Moon and licked her muzzle repeatedly. "Shhh. It'll be okay Moon.It'll be okay." Ebony? That was her father.

Sunblaze looked around and found some cobwebs in a nearby bush. Collecting them, Sunblaze placed them carefully on Sierra's torn open wounds. Her heart ached for her daughter, especially when she saw the splint on her daughter's leg. Boiling fury rolled inside of her. A bloodlust for the one that had hurt her pup. She would find him. She would kill him. Sunblaze kept the thoughts silent before turning her head backward and sending out a howl to call Thite back. Who needed healers? They would do things on their own. If they had to, Sunblaze knew a few other healers but right now they didn't need them.
Moon couldn't help but cry. "H..he..died..." Moon rasped, coughing a few times. "I never..saw him before..." she coughed again. "He was a handsome wolf...." Another coughing fit broke off her words. |

From far far away Thite heard a distant howl. It was Sunblaze. His mate must have found Sierra and now she was calling him to return. Ignoring his better judgement Thite turned on his heel and dashed back the way he had come.
Nezero nuzzled his beloved. Lying down her curved his figure so he could protect her from the col. "It'll be alright Moon. He's not gone. He'll never be gone." The brute murmured as he licked her head.
