Running behind Sothis, Sirius bounded into the camp carrying his part of the cure they had found in the Spirit Wood. He tried to forget the hellish demons that had chased him and taunted him but there was no forgetting those horrid shades. They would forever lurk in his darkest nightmares and walk close behind him. As if to scar him, his muzzle was no longer black. It looked like someone had taken a paintbrush dipped in white paint and flicked it at his muzzle. Bloodsplatter-like patters of white stained his muzzle now, thanks to a bite from a demon trying to make him turn back.
Before Sirius could speak to anyone at the meeting, Myth leapt up, fur birstling and stalked...or...limped over to Sirius, glaring. "I was looking all over for you, you jerk!" Myth barked, tail lashing angrily, spiky white fur ruffled in aggrivation.
Sirius gave the small fae a tired smile and chuckled. "I apologize Myth now, would someone please tell me what's going on?" He looked around at Aliya and the others, wondering why they were all gathered there. "Also, bring the sick and dying to Sedaka's den. It'll be easier to treat them if they're all in one place."

Kiki's fur bristled angrily, her skin burning. Her eyes sharpened with irritation. The female's eyes pierced into Silas's form, and she padded stiffly into the Healer's Den before Sirius arrived. She laid down in her nest. There's only one nest and two wolves... she threatened within her mind.

Fireflight swiftly stepped in between Kiki and Silas. "That's not the compassionate ways of a healer. Calm yourself. Silas is younger than you, and when you become healer, he'll probably be YOUR neophyte!" She sighed, trying deperately to make peace.
Carolina darted forward, eyes locked on Sothis, barely blinking. She didn't want to miss his image for even the breifest of moments. Her world had returned. Her heart in his paws, Carolina buried her head in his fur, pelt smelling of the same, mystic passion it always had. "Sothis....oh, Sothis!"

One nest, Fireflight, one wolf. she growled inwardly. Kiki remained where she laid and put her head on her paws. "One nest." she growled menacingly, but quietly. "So now compassion wins the spot as healer..." she muttered, slightly flustered. She had not the compassion of a healer. She was short tempered, angered, and sharp tongued.

Grey optics followed Kiki and Salis. A frown deepened on his maw. Putting down the herb he carried, near Sothis and Carolina, Sirius strode toward the healer den, making a path through the gathered wolves. "Kiki" Sirius barked sharply, "I am not your mentor but still your leader and I do believe I asked you to gather the sick in one place. Salis can help you." Sirius smiled at his youngling but turned a hard gaze back on Kiki. "I know Sedaka taught you to treat others with better respect then you've shown."
His voice was firm and confident, every bit the Destinian leader Destiny had been though he never believed himself her equal. He never would be and Sirius was content to accept that. Still, he knew the values of respect, even to those younger then yourself. Whether Salis was kin of the alpha made no difference, nor did the fact that he was now a healer neophyte. Though the situation was unusual, Sirius would not stand for bickering and fighting among the healers, neophyte or full fledged healer.

"I show no disrespect, towards this wolf, but I do believe that it is strange to have two of a healer neophyte." she turned her gaze from his. "I'll move to the neophyte den, so he can have to comfy, cozy little healer's den to share with our respected healer, so I won't get in the way of his ambitions!" she grumbled, hotly. She turned away from the wolves and padded out of the den, calling for those sick to come.\ "Well, Salis, I do believe you can help, right?" she sneered at the wolf, as she paused briefly. She raced into the clearing of wolves, grabbing the young, old, and sick.

A firm frown fixed on Sirius's white splashed muzzle as he glared after Kiki. She would either get over her attitude or Sirius would be having a word with Sedaka about his successors. It was true, two healer neophytes were unusual but surely not unheard of? What had Aliya been thinking? Sirius made a mental note to comfront his mate later. Surely Salis wasn't going to be a healer when Kiki had trained so long and hard?
Turning to his son, Sirius sighed, tail dropping tiredly. "Don't worry about her" he murmured to his son. "Just go to Sothis and Carolina, as them about the cure and you should find the flowers I left near them. Feed them to the sick."

Sedaka was still in the position as when the meeting had began. He was shaking slightly, though he tried not to show it. He glanced over towards the elder's den, where Toss was busy sleeping his final, crazed days away. Crazy old fool with a kind heart... the ancient Healer thought with a small smile. Seeing Sirius enter with herbs, he stood and stretched his aching limbs. He blinked sadly at the Alpha. I will miss him when I'm gone. There was a strange, wistful gleam in his eye.. Sedaka new that any day now, that heart condition-- No. He'd have to teach Silas a few things first. He decided not to tell Sirius about his near-death status and head for the new neophyte. "Happy?" Sedaka asked him softly.

Fireflight let out a defeated sigh, glancing at Sirius helplessly. "Eh...I tried! Personally, I think this is smart of Sedaka. He's probably considering retiring anyway, so he's most likely only looking out to help Kiki. WHY must we all be debbie downers?" She frowned.

Kiki returned, he eyes looking cooller, with a group of wolves, in which half entered and half waited outside. "Silas?" she asked in a dangerously sweetened voice. "I think you should help Sedaka with the ill. You know, learn the basics, while I help the injured." her voice had a curious edge, and as she turned away her tail lashed defiantly.

Sedaka glanced up at Kiki's words, and nodded approvingly. He knew that she felt angry at this decision, but this was the best and she had to live with it. "That's a good idea," he approved in a gruff voice, nodding. He curled a tail around the neophyte and smiled warmly at him. "Come; I'll show you a few things about treating the ill."

Kiki trotted bleakly to her patients, her fur bristling coarsely, her stomach bubbling with irritation, rage, anguish, and betrayal. After moons of practice, she was getting, practically, replaced. She felt saddened, angrily, but gently adding cobwebs to one in which had a deep gash in her shoulder.

Fireflight slipped away, but hoped they'd finish up the last of the ceremonies, if there were any. All of the wolves deserved their time right now, but Fireflight could wait not longer....she had to know if Euphrates was okay.... Wind, pray he's alive!
{Cue Euphrates! =] }

There was a groan, low and painful, from the healer's den. His eyes fluttered open, sweat on his brow and blood dripping from his maw. But he was alive nonetheless-- Euphrates was stirring at last. "...iremflimte..."
Sedaka smiled sadly at the warrior, but was now more sympathetic than worried. "Save your strength, Euphrates... you'll be able to speak in no time."
"...irmiflite..."
The old Healer grinned. "Fireflight!" he woofed. "I believe you've been waiting to see someone!"

{YES! THE RETURN OF FUPHRATES!!! =] }
Fireflight nodded curetly, then ducked into the den, resisting the urge to jump up and down with delight. Her eyes turned liquid as she laid them on Euphrates' stirring form. She laid down carefully beside him. "Hi there!" She whispered, giggling softly. "You've been asleep for a little too long! One would think you were attempting to morph into a bear and hibernate!"
