The hollow was soaked thick with the rain that was pouring from the heavens. It seemed ongoing; an eternal dowpour. Annanti stirred in the underground den she shared with her mate, turning over in the soft next of ferns and rabbit fur. "Mhmm..." she yawned widely, stretching out her long legs. Giving herself a good shake to rid her silver and black pelt of grit and dirt, she sat up. Will the rain ever stop? We won't be able to hunt at this rate...if not because we'd be drenched frigid, then because the prey won't like getting wet, either. She turned to look for Guerrier, eyes straining to adjust to the dim lighting.

He gazed lovingly back, her heart rate raising rapidly. His ears grew hot, as he thought about what to say. "Nice weather we're having---" he stopped as the sound of the rain came into his focus, he had been so, preoccupied, with one of the greatest gifts; her. He flicked his ears casually. "I mean, nice weather for a fish..." he chuckled.

Annanti smiled widely, eyes sparkling with an unknown emotion. Love? Affection? Amusement? All of the above... "Oh yes, very nice indeed, except for the fact that I don't plan on losing my limbs, growing gills, and becoming all scaly!" She laughed a bit, a soft, melodic sound through the raging storm. She rested her chin on Guerrier's shoudler, eyes still shimmering with emotion.

He chuckled his heart jolting as he gazed into her sparkling eyes. "I-I..." he stuttered, as he tried to stop himself from swimming in the depths of her beautiful eyes. "I-I.." he tried again, but as before he failed. "I---You are beautiful," he finally rushed out.

Blushing terribly, Annanti looked down at her paws, but was unable to hide the instantaneous, radiant smile that had formed on her lips. "Hardly. I pale in comparison to your own charm!" She woofed softly, tone light at first, then serious towards the end.

"Charm?" he murmured gently. "I'm guessing you have forgotten our first meeting, no?" his voice was sarcastic in a grim, shameful way. He was ashamed of the 'charm' he showed her on their first meeting. They hadn't launched into battle, nor had either of them layed a claw on eachother, but he had threatened the innocent female.

Annanti merely flicked this away with a swish of her tail. "No, how could I ever forget, Guerrier? But you big bad brutes always forget that sometimes you cross a female who had cards that can be dealt! I'd slain many before you Guerrier, and I could've very well inflicted pain to you as I would expect you unto me," she yawned. She shook her head, "No, that doesn't much matter. What matters is now, and here we are," she smiled.

"Yeah..." he muttered. He still felt a weighing guilt as he had when he had had to de-pup a forced female. He had threatened the love of his life. He whipped away the guilty look that weighed in his eyes, hopefully, before she could catch it.

Annanti sighed, clearly exasperated. "Are you going to waste the life we had dwelling on silly little mistake?" She looked at him directly, not fooled by a second at his attempted concealment. "Where the point in that? If you're so upset over such a small thing wasted, then why waste the rest of time we have? Would that not be the greater guilt?"

"I guess.." no.. His eyes showed understanding, and he nodded. "I just wish... for a cure for this sickness... I don't want to lose... you."

Annanti's smile was simply effervescent at his words. "Now THAT is something we can go hunting for....it's out there, I've seen that loner, Artem spreading it around. I've tasted its scent, but the rouge healer who was handing it out before the rain started had run out. He said he'd have to mix more before he came back to the region. He's spoken the ingredients to me, however, and if you want to go for a walk in the rain, then we've nothing left to worry about!" She nuzzled him lovlingly, heart pumping fast. There's a cure. There's a hope. And most of all, we'll all live for another day. And maybe, maybe someday I'll even be a mother!

Guerrier was to his feet in an instant. "Lets go! Lets go!" he cast a worried glanced at her. "Is that your fur falling out? DO you feel nausias, or a slight urge to cough?" he spoke quickly and nudged her to get up. "Lets go! You look fine, but you could drop any second!" he fretted. "Come on!"

Annanti snorted and nudged him playfully. "I lived with an insane wolf for half of my life, and you're worried about me NOW?!" She laughed, then suddenly shot off into the wetlands of the forest. She followed the scent trails, pleased when she managed to rescue a two doses of the concoction that someone had convieniantly dropped. She tossed one to Guerrier, then downed the contents of her own. She coughed terribly at the tasted, but did her best to hold it in.

Guerrier raced after her and waited for her to finish. "If its really that bad then--" he smiled jokingly and chowed down on the crap-smeeling/tasting cure. "CUH CUH---Very good.." he coughed as he swallowed the last of it.

She shook herself, deperate to rid her mouth of the vile taste. She lapped up water from the puddles that had collected on the forest floor, and it helped to dull the pungent odor and feel on her tongue. She sighed suddenly, and without warning, turned and tackled Guerrier. "Ah, Guerrier, I believe we have a problem!" She giggled. "I feel completely insane! There's a bouyancy that I cannot deter, and a warmth I cannot erase! The cure does not ease my heart, love, but makes the yearning perhaps stronger," she laughed.
