(( *gigglesnortlaugh* ))
Santi and Dairus stared at the white she-wolf, dazed by her long string of vocabulary that neither of them could quite get a handle on the meaning of. Darius continued to gaze, wide-eyed at Vee, not even snapping out of his confusement when Santi nudged him. She laughed when he finally blinked, still uncomfortable with the intense use of the spoken tongue that Vee had used. Santi laughed a bit, amused at the new wolf. "Well, I can see why they call you Vee!"

The femme stared, wide eyed, at the snowy fae for a few moments. Then smiling to Santi and Darius, and giving each of the pups a gentle lick, she turned to pad out of the 'den'. Pausing momentarily to glance at Vee. "Quite an extenxive vocabulary you have miss Vee." With that, icy optics left the fae, and she turned and walked out of the 'den'. A light shower just beginning and her pelt glistened with the many crystal droplets as they caught themselves on her long, thick fur. None penetrating to the flesh at the moment.

Vee straightened her posture, still grinning. "It took me forever to memorize that!" she woofed. "Anyways... nice to meet you guys! What are your names?"

Santi, still beaming, answered, "I'm Santi, and the young wolf who just left to hunt is Akaira. I have a feeling you'll fit right in around here! I suppose we all have our quirks...."
Darius snorted at this, but covered it up as a cough. "I'm Darius, and it's a pleasure to meet you."

Pleased, Vee wagged her tail. "Pleased to meet you, Santi! And Darius..." She narrowed her eyes at him, pupils tracing his body... only break into smile and laugh to show that she was just kidding. "Pleased to meet you, too!"
Neva whimpered from where she was squirming, and ended up running into one of her siblings. She yelped in surprise.

Santi licked Neva comfortingly and nosed her back into place. Darius rolled his eyes at Vee's odd humor, but flicked his tail in an excited matter to show it wasn't much minded.
Santi leaned back, yawning. "So, where are you from? Fell free to sit, if you want." She nodded towards the stacks of hay.

"Thanks!" Vee woofed, jumping into the hay and settling herself in a comfortable position-- lying on her back, staring up at the old, wooden ceiling of the barn. "I'm from the mountains, mostly... lived by myself after my mum, dad, and brother were--" She paused, staring up at the ceiling, blinking in thought. Then, talking as if she hadn't cut herself off, she continued, "I traveled around a lot, seen many faces... but I was attracted to the prey around this area. Much more down here than in the mountains, that's for sure!" She looked from Darius to Santi and back. "So, where are you guys from?"

Darius groaned. "Stupid Destinians!" Her cursed. Santi glanced at her mate, sadness painted in her eyes. "Unfortunately, we have a bad history with the packs. Destinians in particular," she woofed.

Vee nodded slowly. "I never really paid much attention to the packs-- I don't enjoy being in large groups. What's so bad about them?" She paused, then quickly added, "If you don't want to tell me about it, you don't have to."

"Eh...I'd rather not go into specifics. Basically they banished all three of us seperately for now apparent, plausible reason. Good riddence to them!" Darius joined in the yawn-fest. Soon he was snoring in the hay.
Santi grumbled good-naturedly, but allowed him to sleep. She was feeling quite tired herself.

What is that scent... So familier... But no... It couldn't be... Could it? It was the strangest scent. It smelled of her mother, Destiny, but the brute could not have been Lakota. What had his name been again... of, yes, Grug. Quite the odd pair those two had made. The scent of blood was there too, but it was musty and damp. There was also a strong smell of... well, it brought disturbing images to her mind. Either way, why was it so familier? Loni Her half-brother, though they had been born in the same litter. The worst creature on the planet. Not her enemy, not her sibling, not her friend. Loni was a rival, a curse on the planet. But, it could not possibly be him. Could it? No... the scent carried Loni on it, and a fae. It was an earthy scent, who could it be.... Harriet perhaps? She had made that fae's aquaintance once. But if not him... then who? As she drew closer to the Twilight Lake the scent of blood became stronger. Then it met her optics. A medium sized fae, her figure was shredded and horribly disfigured. A few of her bones had been removed and lay on the ground nearby. Harriet Moving past the lump of rotting wolf meat the fae's eyes landed on something even more disturbing. Small legs and tails; heads too. Pups. A horrified yelp was emitted. The bodies and pieces were all coated in black flies, the corpses rotting and a large raven was perched nearby. Loni. Your worse then I could have ever thought. Clearly the corpses had been here for a while. But just how long? The smell could knock you down.

Santi and Darius suddenly snapped, each fidgeting oddly. "Akaira...." Santi murmured. She could feel the unease, fear, anger, everything in the paws of the young wolf. She'd carried herself to something that she did not wish to see, some place she hadn't wished to go....
Darius licked Santi swiftly on the cheek, and departed from the den, going after Akaira. There was a dark aura here...very dark, indeed. Almost overpowering. However, when it tried to whisk Darius away, he grunted it off. His mind was on Santi, their pups, their dear friend Akaira. Nothing else. He would not let the darkness claim him this time -- no, there was too much at stake.
"Would you mind nosing shut the doors and windows, Vee?" Santi breathed after a moment. She wondered if the blaring white femme noted the thick, blood-scented atmosphere as well.

Oh sweet twilight wolves... What has he done... Bones... Blood... Gore... Fur... Limbs... De-tatched... Pup killer. Savage. Slaughterer. You'll be damned to a place... Darker then Hellfire. Right to Tarterus.. No... Even that place isn't horrible enough... Not for you. Upper and lower lip were curled, revealing alabaster daggers, glimmering brightly. Snarling in a hideous way the femme backed herself up against a tree trunk. Icy optics darkened incredibly, they glimmered with a terrified fury. Long, curly claws dug deeply into the earth. Suddenly the world changed.
Two small pups played along the lakeshore, chasing after each other. One was a light orangeish shade, the other a darker redder bloody tone. A beautiful sunset femme was sitting near a massive, and this thing was massive, alabaster brute. To the left, a flash of silver in the woods. Svel is in position then. The voice seemed dark and blood curdling as Akaira, no, a brute, spoke. But it was her lips that moved, or was it? "Harriet, you idiotic fool. Hurry up or I'll slice open your stomach and shove the entrails down your throat." Damnation on that ditzy creature. There was a snarling, howls of pain. Then pups at her (his) jaws. Necks being broken. Bundles flying through the air. Claws in her (his) pelt. A small battle then the forest as he ran.
Akaira howled in fright as the living world came back into view. The dismembered pups and the ravaged Harriet on the earth. Loni had done this, and she'd just lived through it all.

Dariua appeared next to Akaira, eyes wide. She had not done this;; the auras did not match, not even close. His eyes were locked on the rotting corpse, gag reflex forcing him to look away after a few long moments. Eventually, after he'd somehow managed to compose himself, he turned to Akaira. "Do you know who could've done this? He has the faintest trace of Destinian...but he doesn't run with them. He's the blackest damned wolf I've ever seen..." he snarled, tail lashing. Control yourself. You can't let this one take you. Not with Santi and the pups around, not with Akaira and Vee around. Get it together.

The optics, icy and dark as stone, glimmered with terrifyingly livid rage. "Of course, I know the damned thing all to well. My half-brother. Loni. My eternal damnation. My rival." In her outrage Akaira could lose herself, that was a danger she could not allow. Turning on the tree her long claws sliced deeply into the bark. The marks she left would remain there for a very long time. The enraged femme kept up her lashing and attack on the poor tree for a while. Eventually calming down enough to turn away from it. Bits of bark caught between her claws. Icy optics were returned to Darius, and the sorrow they held was impossible. It was the same look she'd had when Destiny had died. Then her figure stiffened, optics clouding over. "It's okay Belle, it's okay. Daddy's here." A massive alabaster brute, the same beast from her earlier... for lack of a better word.. 'vision', sat near a stream. A small pup, Belle she assumed, was whimpering pitifully at his paws. The brute was licking a wound on her shoulder. Now her pelt became more apparent. It was ebony, glimmering streaks of an impossible bloody reddish orange color througout it. And her eyes, they were darker, not like his. In fact, even their scents were completely different. Daddy wasn't exactly daddy.
