Darius nodded, studying the scent closely. "Go back to the den and gaurd it well. I'll be back at nightfall. Whatever you do, don't let any in or out until I get back, all right?" He didn't wait for her to respond, just slunk away into the forest, determined and steady.

There was the slightest nodding of her crown. "Very well Darius." The fae dashed back towards the den. Being extremally careful to skirt the remains of the slightly eroded wolven as she went. Optics locked in the direction of Santi, Vee and the pups.
Riniad gave a low whine and snuggled closer to Santi. As Akaira entered the pup's whineing became a louder whimpering and he moved to hide beneath Santi's paw or something. The emotions radiating off of his 'sister' were powerful. And the scent, the horrible scent she carried disgusted him. The scent of blood.
The fae glanced to Vee and Santi. "Darius has ordered that no one leave nor enter until he returns." These words were spoken as the fae began to shove the door closed again after her entry. After which she glanced at Santi, and then took positon as a sort of guard. Hatred, livid rage and sorrow were all strong on her pelt. As was the disgusting scent of blood and rotting.

Santi's tail flicked nervously, and she nosed Riniad, Neva, Illustrian, and Amoret closer to her. "What happened, Akaira?" she asked, eyes worried and searching. She could taste Darius' pawsteps, controlled and steady, but swift and determined. Whatever wraith they had crossed, he'd at least been able to handle it so far, and Santi was thankful for that. But what exactly had occurred to send her mate on this impromptu mission?

The femme's tail lashed back and forth. Apparently this was how she was controlling her rage. "I'm afraid I cannot tell you that now Santi. It is not for the ears of pups to hear. Nightmares would be caused, and I refuse to make the poor things howl in their sleep." There was an affection in her icy optics as she gazed upon each little creature.
Riniad began to suckle once more. Doing his absolute best to keep away from Akaira and her emotions and scents.

Santi frowned, but nodded. Knowing her genes mixed with Darius'...the pups would probably comprehend every word spoken, and be cause great fear. She wouldn't have that for her children. She settled with tracking Darius' progress through pawsteps, and keeping her senses alert in case any wolf should appear near the den.

Riniad yelped at a sudden blast of emotion from Akaira.
The fae looked apologetic. "Sorry sweetheart." Quickly she stood and glared at the entrance. Ready for a fight.
The figure that appeared was, of course, nothing to frighten anyone. The fae was small, her pelt a beautiful brown. Obviously young, nothing more then neophyte age. The scent of flowers and forest was about her. She jumped at the sight of all the wolven gathered.

Santi beckoned the young wolf inside. "Come, quickly! There are dark things about in the forest, child Akaira, will you get the door behind her? We should keep it shut...." She murmured, unable to leave her nest and her pups.

The little fae quickly darted into the den. "I know, I know. I saw the mess.-" The words ceased to come from her maw at an understanding glare from the fae that had been called Akaira. Nodding she moved farther out of the way and sat down.
Akaira moved forward as the fae got out of her way. Quickly she shoved the door closed once again. Apparently this little creature had also seen the mess that Loni had left.
Riniad whimpered more.

"What's your name, child?" Santi asked, breathing a little easier now that the door was shut again. Mess....blood. There was blood. Her heart picked up a little, worried about her mate as his journey crossed into the deeper loner terras.

The little fae shifted on her paws. Easing herself forward she dropped into a laying position. "I'm Fawn." The name truly suited her, for she was as timid as one and small. "And yours?"
Akaira shifted uneasily as another scene passed before her eyes at the word 'Fawn'. The bloody mess was, luckily, an actual fawn this time. But it still made her whole figure shake and her eyes dull as the gorey scene unfolded.

"I'm Santi, and this is Akaira...and my pups, Riniad, Illustrian, Neva, and Amoret. My mate is nearby, but he is currently...tracking something." Santi really didn't know what Darius was tracking exactly. She only hoped he came back soon. She glanced nervously at Akaira, fidgeting slightly. Don't let it take you, Santi. Don't give into the panic....

Akaira seemed to sense Santi's fear. The fae opened her maw to speak but there were no words she could use to comfort her 'mother'. If Darius ran into Loni....
Fawn smiled ever so slightly. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you all." She glanced to the white wolf nearby and then returned her gaze to Santi and the pups. "Your scent is strong here. How long has this place been your home?"

Santi flicked her ears oddly, perhaps detecting a movement made by her far away lover. Her senses snapped back to Fawn, and her question. "Darius and I have lived here for about a year and a half. It's hidden, and most wolves don't turn this way since they run straight on for the loner terras. Akaira joined about four moons ago." She licked a forepaw, then decided that since Fawn would most likely have to spend the night here, she might as well be comfortable. She flicked her tail and nodded to the mounds of straw and hay around the sides of the barn. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable. I wouldn't advise leaving until sunrise."

There was the slightest nod of her crown at the words spoken by Santi. The fae moved off to push together some straw and make herself a small nest. As she did so her optics remained on Akaira.
The fae stiffened. She could feel Fawn's optics burning into her. Another vision appeared before her and her eyes dulled. This had never happened before, but it seemed that whilst she was gifted her 'gift' was not going to make her life easy.

Santi's impossibly green gaze flickered uncertainly between Akaira and Fawn. Have they met before? Is there something off about our little visitor? Santi decided that trying to read Fawn's footsteps right now would be too risky, as Akaira was oddly silent and in deep thought, and the quiet would either unease Fawn or make her suspicious. "So...where are you from?" She woofed, keeping her tone light and conversational.
