Fawn glanced to Santi. "No where really. I've always been a loner, or so I remember." The fae spoke softly.
Akaira stiffened ever more. Finally her figure twisted and she gazed upon Fawn. "How did you know about all that?"

"Akaira?" Santi inquired, suprised and slightly unnerved. It seemed everybody knew something she didn't. "What do you mean?" Apparently, there was something deeply wrong. But could they let the fae leave, now that she knew of their den? It would certainly take them a long time to find another place as well hidden as this, and they certainly couldn't stop Fawn from letting go of their location. Santi gritted her teeth, mind racing. Darius...please come back soon...

Akaira padded forward. Half moving towards Santi, half towards Fawn. Fawn looked like she didn't have a clue what was going on. "I was shown something through her eyes. It was Loni, a very pregnant fae who I recognize as my mother's adopted daughter Svel, and the bodies of Zuni, Grug and Gaara. Grug was Loni's father, so there all related. There were some other wolves there too. But what startles me is that I could hear Fawn's thoughts at the time, and she knew who all the wolven were, even though she was only about three moons old or so at the time. And she knew about my parents and my family, and that disturbs me even more." Akaira had been, of course, speaking in the direction of Santi.
Fawn shifted uncomfortably on her paws. How does she know all of that? The fae looked utterly confused and terrified at the moment.

Santi shot a quick, sympathetic glance at Fawn. "Nothing's wrong dear...some of us who live by the lake are just...oddly gifted." She knew that barely covered it, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the Twilight Lake, but if that was what would calm Fawn, that was what Santi would tell her for now. "Well you hang around with us. It's not that odd you've got a gift..." Santi almost smiled at this, then focused in more on what Akaira had explained specifically. "Well, Fawn, why do you know those things?" Santi directed the question to the other wolf. If she ran, Akaira would definitly be able to door... She didn't really expect a geuine answer, though perhaps she'd said enough to provoke one. No...she just wanted to get the polite question-asking over with so Santi didn't feel bad about cussing.

Fawn shifted uncomfortably on her paws. "Umm well... a white fae, with a scar across her left eye much like Akaira's, approached me. There were others with her, and they all had a.... ethereal aura about them. She spoke to me about it, I'm not sure why. And she asked why I had called her and her friends." The fae tilted her head a bit. "All I said was 'Destiny please come to me'. It was the oddest thing..."
Akaira blinked. "That's quite a... gift... the ability to call forth the souls of the deceased. The soul of my mother..." The last part was spoken more quietly, more to herself then anyone else.

Santi laid back, almost in hysterical laughter. "HOW MANY OF US ARE THERE?!" When her amusement subsided, and she'd captured her breath once more, she glanced back at Fawn. "That is quite remarkable. Is that the only occasion you've used your...gift?" She inquired. With every blessing comes a curse. I know mine. Darius knows his. But do Akaira and Fawn understand theirs quite yet? It's not something I can just teach them....they need to find it on their own. But it needs to be respected or it could result in the death of them...

Fawn nodded. "It's happened more then once. On another occasion a small dusty colored brute came to me, I'd called for a friend. I was younger, and needed someone to talk to. The scent was Destinian, just like the white faes. And it happened once more, a little more recently, and it was a large black wolf. A sad fellow, and it seemed that he needed a friend more then I did."
"Dust and Nuka." Akaira had never known either of the wolves. In fact, none of the living had likely ever known Nuka, brother to Destiny, but she automatically knew the names.

The fact that Fawn's gift directly involved spectral beings formed a thing line on Santi's lips. How was she to explain to them the dangers of their gifts? Would they even understand until they encountered them for the first time? "And when this has happened to you...have you ever felt blocked or impaired in any sort of way?" She asked gently, not wanted to cause fear, but needing to gather facts. She would definitly have to train these two up a bit...or at least Darius would while she was with the pups. Not in hunting or regular battle fighting...no. It the canvas and structure of the mind...and its extensions. And hopefully, when they found their curses, how to deal with them.

Fawn nodded a bit. "Yes, when the wolves come I am unable to leave their sight. So, if they remain in one place, and I attempt to hide from them, a shock goes through me and I am forceably dragged back into the open where I can be easily watched."
Akaira shifted on her paws. Optics darting towards the door as the rain became more of a downpour.

Santi nodded, taking this all in. So if she summoned them for protection, really she'd be stuck out in the open, exposed and standing alone. The undead would not be able to aid her... "And what about you, Akaira?" She asked, curious. "Was Fawn the first time you've even used your craft?" The red wolf flicked her tail slightly, a twitch she did whenever she was deep in thought. She licked her pups gently, nosing them closer, if closer was possible. Darius had stopped, and there was another set of paws close to him. However, these were kind paws....not the paws of a killer. Santi relaxed, tuning back into the live world around her. Please, love, come home soon! We need you! She hoped silently. She turned her green gaze back to Akaira.

Akaira shook her head. "It's odd Santi. When I saw the-" She paused. "The mess I felt the aura of their souls. That aura triggered it and I used the gift. And it happened two more times before I did it with Fawn that time."

"Any side effects?" She continued, rolling all of this over in her mind. She felt her thoughts drifting to her own, unfortunate curse. If she followed pawsteps for too long, or went too far, she would find herself a warped figure in time ;; meaning she would be erased from the world she lived in, and become a dead wolf of the past. How did she find this out? It had come to her in a dream long ago, when she'd first started usuing her uniqe talents. The femme was eternally grateful to whatever spirit or essence had fueled that dream. It had done something beyond saving her life;; it had stopped her from getting that close to the edge in the first place. I do hope Akaira's does not end up being as trecherous as mine...that could mean terrible, unpredictable results. Especially if she doesn't know. That's the thing about our arts...we have to learn our limits, and have enough sense to stay within them. Otherwise, things get sticky...

There was a slight shake of her head. "Not besides the impossibly livid rage I feel every time I see, scent or hear my brother. And he was in all of my... 'visions'." Of course, there would be side effects... eventually..

Santi nodded slowly, contemplating what everything meant. The red fae rested her tired head on the soft hay of her nest, still wondering when her mate would return to them. "Well, all we can do is wait for now. Fawn, I'd be cautious about it for a while...and Akaira, you should be cautious too, perhaps more so. The consequences for many tend to be...lethal. And that is not something to embrace. Death by a warped existence is perhaps the worst way to fall away from the living realms." She looked up at Akaira, praying the young fae would heed her warnings. Akaira was a well-skilled, finely tuned wolf indeed, but she'd seen the rage that had consumed her when she's envisioned Loni. No wolf was invinsible, and everything had to be taken in moderation.

There was a slight nodding of her crown. Indicating that what Santi said was for good reason. Optics were returned to the door. Tail waving to and fro as she waited for Darius' return.
Fawn nodded, yawning. She curled up in a little ball in her make shift nest.
