Akaira's frontal paws were placed as high as they could be upon the ladder, she wouldn't dare climb it with a pup in her jaws. She sighed in releif as Fawn reached down and gently took the pup by the scruff, bringing him up over the side to be placed in the nest she had prepared. The fae moved out of the way of the other wolves.

Misty came forward and stood up on the ladder. Little Neva was eager to be put down so the fae did her job quickly. She handed the pup to Fawn as gently as possible and stepped down. Misty moved back and stuck her head outside. Not a soul stirred the area, but anything could happen in a matter of seconds.

(Minor powerplaying --- Neva was Wolfie's char, but I doubt they will mind that Neva squirmed... =p )
Illustrian whimpered in the new nest, longing for warmth and safety. Santi took Amoret carefully in her jaws, then handed her up to Fawn.

Fawn placed Neva gently next Illustrian. Crown turning back towards the edge and she leaned over, quickly taking Amoret in her jaws and placing the little pup by the others.
Riniad squirmed on the floor, whimpering softly to himself.
Akaira glanced towards the entrance, worry in her stance.

Santi glanced at her pups, then at Fawn. "Please...stay here with them. They've fed enough so they should be fine for the time being. Whatever you do, do not make a sound....with luck, Akaira, Vee, Misty, and myself will be able to keep them off. If they get into the barn, and we're no longer able to do anything....then throw all you've got at them. But only if we're unable to hold them back...." Santi whispered feverishly. Without waiting for an answer, she sent one last, pained, loving glance at her children, then leapt neatly down from the hayloft. She glanced at the three other wolves, then nodded. "All right...let's go out and spot them before they sneak up on us..."

Akaira nodded. Quickly, giving one last glance to her 'family' up in the hay loft, then darted towards the entrance. Crown was stuck out first, then she silently disappeared outside. Freezing several steps out. "You know where she is? Show me. Maybe I can finally put that idiot out of her misery." The fae she had come to know as Sekhmet tore out of the cave and he followed, the two of them racing across the loner lands towards the Twilight Lake. These visions were hectic tonight... would they stop completely afterwards or continue like this? Her head was starting to hurt. The scar on her face seemed to burn... "They're coming... they know where we are..."

"So then we'll meet them before they come too close." Santi growled, eyes flashing. She opened the door, the old wooden barrier creaking slightly. She motioned for them to follow, then slunk away. "Close the door behind you!" She called.

There was the slightest nod of her crown as she glanced over her shoulder at Misty and Vee. Suddenly bursting forward with an impossible energy and dashing through the trees at top speed.
Riniad whimpered quietly.
Fawn nodded to the other wolves. She licked each pup in turn, trying to calm them.

(Whoops! Sorry!)
Misty nodded to Santi. She turned towards the door and walked out silently. Her eyes scanned the area, watching out for that wolf she'd seen in Bitterwind Valley. It was good that she'd come at the right time. The woods were silent, but not for long.

Amoret whimpered loudly, fear coursing through her young bones.
Santi paced forward, eyes widening as a limping figure came over the hillside. "DARIUS!" She dashed forward to meet him.
Sekhmet prowled silently through the undergrowth, glancing to see if Loni was still following her. She nodded ahead, motioning to the barn and the wolves at its front.

The figure of the rather large basterd slunk along the earth only a few paws behind Sekhmet. The hatred and fury stronger then ever and glimmering powerfully. Though tassel lashed somewhat he was completely silent for the time being. Optics darting from Sekhmet, delicious Sekhmet, to the barn and the wolven that seemed to be standing guard. One in particular jumped out at him, and even from here he could see her extremally clearly, as if there was an aura around her. The scar on her face seemed to shimmer in a white washed bloody way. But only to him, no one else, not even herself, would notice this strange thing.
Akaira stiffened considerably. He's here... I know it..."

Misty noticed Darius appearing through the trees. As Santi ran toward him, the fae could swear she smelled more than one wolf nearby besides him. Oh no, she thought.

Sekhmet seemed almost pleased at his rage. "Whenever you're ready..." she grinnined, claws flexing. Darius had shaken the course of fate by whisking Santi away from her imprisonment. He hadn't had a right to do that. He, himself, had refused time and time again to embrace the power he held. For those reasons, neither Darius or his mate deserved to live. If anyone else got in the way, that was their funeral.

The brute smirked dementedly. "Slaughter time, dearie."[/i] With those words figure burst forward, silently, through the undergrowth. The thick fog had come again and for the first few lengths it would conceal his figure completely. Deciding for a method of torture, just for the fun of it, the basterd remained within the dark cloud of blackish grey fog that blanketed the area. The drizzle of rain had turned back into the relentless downpour once again. A hideous laugh escaped his maw, and he threw his voice so that it sounded as if he was coming from somewhere completely different.
Akaira stiffened and twisted her crown. Glancing to and fro. "...He's here... but where..."

Misty heard the malicious laugh in the distance. It seemed to echoe from many places, being thrown obviously. The fae searched through the now pouring rain. A shadow sprang between two trees beyond Santi and Darius. "Santi!" she called. "Behind you!"
