Vee glanced at Santi and Darius. "Are you guys alright--?" Suddenly, her ears flew erect, having heard something from the barn. Turning, the white fae fled toward the barn, spurred on by Misty's shout and Riniad's cries.
Rapier held his ground, not flinching from his brother's gaze... no, not until Loni had vanished into the woods. And, finally, he relaxed his muscles, licking his lips with bitter thoughts raging through his mind... The sound of Akaira's voice brought him around to face her. "...yes sister. It's me." The black and white wolf stood, lean muscles rippling beneath his pelt. He had grown since their puphood... and was now an agile and strong opponent. But that was expected- he took after his father, after all.

Fawn's claws were slipping, just barely clinging to the edge. Misty half startled her half relieved her. The fae fell, tumbling down ward, towards Misty below.
Riniad squirmed and whimpered in the nest.
Akaira took a step forward, gently touching her muzzle to Rapier's shoulder. His aroma, his familiar aroma came to her. "Thank you, brother. I'd be dead now, had you not shown." The fae moved her face from his fur, he looked quite a bit like Lakota. Were as Loni, looked like no one she had seen before. And she, was a perfect oddity. Some hues of ebony and alabaster, from Lakota, could be seen in her pelt. The others were strange colors, none of them coming from her parents.".....I....missed you....Rapier...."She murmured softly. Light icy optics danced over his figure. She wondered if she could do it with him too, and not just Loni. She was answered by an image of her brother running through the forest, away from a Moonless Meeting. A voice, Destiny, hung on the wind. "So....mother sent you..."

Vee nudged open the barn door and stepped inside... only to gasp in horror when she saw Fawn plummeting to the ground below. Eyes widening, she had to force herself to take another step. "Fawn!"
Rapier didn't move, savoring the warmth that his sister brought him when she touched his shoulder. It had been far too long since he had shared a den or sat side-by-side with another wolf. "I missed you too." At her next words, he nodded sadly. "Yes, mother's voice led me here... without her, I wouldn't have known where you were." He frowned softly. "I wish she would've told me where you were many moons ago... most nights, I couldn't help but wondering what happened to you."

The fae turned her gaze away, the light catching her scar a bit. "I was with the Sheerans until half way through my neophyte-hood. But it wasn't my place, Rapier. I left. Unable to return home, because Sirius had threatened to slaughter me himself, I became a rogue." She glanced towards Santi and Darius. "Santi and Darius used to be Destinians too, but they, like me, were banished." The fae trembled a bit.

Darius stood, perilously balanced on his three good legs. With the aid of Santi, he managed to enter the barn once more. He knew he couldn't even consider climbing up to the hayloft, but his children were there, and he had to try. Grunting with the effort, his used all of the strength in his canines and uninjured legs to pull himself up to the second level, and towards his dearest children.

As soon as Fawn's paws slipped from the ledge, Misty turned and let the fae fall on her. The impact wasn't as heart-stopping as she pictured, but she cushioned it well enough with the hay beneath her that had fallen from the loft. Misty got up from the scruffle when Fawn did and shook herself of the extra strands of hay. She gave a breath of relief and looked at Fawn, "Are you alright?"

Fawn nodded as she rolled onto the floor. The fae nodded slightly. "Thanks."
Riniad whimpered.

Misty grinned at that. Then she looked up as Darius and Santi went up into the hayloft to be with their pups. She was glad to see that her message had not been in vain. But he had survived, which only added to the success of it all. It only reminded her of the loss of her own father, Coldfire (*sniffles* Ari!), and how much her mother had suffered without his love. It touched her heart to know that these pups would have their father, and Santi her mate, for at least a while longer.

"Thank you, Misty," Santi breathed, still teary. "Thank you....oh, it doesn't seem enough! I can't think of any way to show you how grateful I am-- how grateful we all are. We wouldn't have been nearly as prepared if you hadn't warned us. This attack could've resulted in something so much worse. If there's anything you ever need -- anything at all -- you can track us down and we'll do our best to help you out. You can rest here for as long as you'd like to." She blinked at the other wolf, eyes brimming with sincerity. Speaking to Akaira and Fawn, she called, "We'll have to wait until the pups open their eyes to move them to a new den...so we'll have to be careful. I don't think they'll attack until that devil of a fae's shoulder heals, but we should still keep caution."

Misty nodded her head slowly in reply. Now her isolation had broken. She was known to other wolves as someone more than a simple loner. But that had a downside too. She had enemies. Those wolves who attacked would recognize her, and Misty would be ready to fight.

Santi glanced back at Misty once more, then nodded towards the stacks of soft hay around the barn, signaling she could make herself at rest if she wished. Santi laid down next to her mate and pups, rasping her warm tongue over all of them with licks that were just as much of a comfort to herself as they were to Darius and her pups. Darius blinked his one good eye open, looking around. This is definitly going to take some getting used to...but it could've been worse. I'm lucky that I can still see at all. He smiled suddenly, an odd thought coming to him. It's ironic, how Santi and I found this place, two outcasts. And now we're here, in our own little camp with our own secret pack, seven, perhaps even eight or nine if Fawn or Misty stay. When those beasts return, we'll be ready to send them off for good!

Fawn nodded slightly to Santi. Optics darting towards Akaira and her brother Rapier. Now what do I do... No family No home.. Will they let me stay? I haven't learned everything about my power yet.. And perhaps they'll take me in, as they did Akaira. Just like having a family...
Akaira's optics were solely for Rapier at the moment, and she only nodded in Santi's general direction. This sort of reunion with her brother wasn't much of a schock but it was extremally pleasing.

Misty grinned and settled herself on the hay by the front door. The bed she made was warm and soft. If anyone attacked, she would be the first to attack.

The storm seemed to be whipping up again;; Rhain was apparently bored and decided to flood the place. Again. Santi curled up around her pups, taking comfort in the warmth. She still had trouble falling into a content sleep, but eventually she was coaxed into it. It was dreamless, thanks to whatever force was watching over them now. And with luck, come morning, they would all feel at least a little better. Darius slept, too, allowing the steady pitter-pattering of the rain to lull him into a deeper rest. He, too, was blessed with clear sleep. He curled close to his mate and pups, eager to escape the horrendous world, or the fact that they had limited nights left in this home...because of Loni and Sekhmet. But Darius had a plan -- Santi would remember their journies into the mountains...and the abandoned cabin.... They could not be found there. And if they were tracked, it was a perilous route if one had not exlpored and discovered the detour, which was safe even for the blind. When his pups opened their eyes, and began to move, then they would have to leave. Before allowing the sleep to overcome him completely, he glanced around the barn once more. When we leave, we will leave behind so much. All because of that damned fae. If she hadn't found me...there are so many tyrants in the world....she just happened to be that bastard's mate. There's no changing it. But they will never find us again when we leave. He closed his eyes, swallowing hard. No turning back.

Akaira turned away from her brother now. "Go pack to your pack Rapier, go back to your home." She paused, half way through the entrance. "Goodbye dearest brother." With that she disappeared into the depths of the barn and shoved the door completely shut. Her optics darted around. Riniad was sleeping soundly again now, and Santi and Darius seemed to be as well. Fawn was curled up in a little ball once again, drifting off to sleep. Akaira approached Darius and nudged him gently. She hated to distrub him but she wanted to talk.
