Freya tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. She didn't know why she couldn't find rest ;; she was cured of the terribly plague that had ailed her so, she wasn't stressed out about anything in particular, and it was a calm, quiet night. What was she becoming, and insomniac? Rising to her paws, so padded silently out of the den, and sat down near the entrance. She gazed up at the skies, wondering what the forest had in store for them, now. She knew the sickness had called for a truce, but the Yozorans and Sheerans seemed to be treating it as more than that. She'd talk to Mystic, Nightshade, or Sabela about her concerns later. Maybe we should meet with the Destinians....ask them what their take on this is, then come up with a plan from there.

Severian, a Siverian Neophyte, stood and trotted towards the proeliater. He cocked his head, wondering what she was thinking about. "Sleeping well?" he asked. "Well, I suppose not." he gazed up at the skies then spoke on. "It is a great relief that the sickness has halted, and the truces are strong throughout all packs." he halted his words, for he was wondering how to voice his opinion of the Sheerans and Yozorans. "Old times seem to be returning. Alliances, I mean." he focused his gaze on a small object in the sky. "History is repeating itself, as some say it always does. The Sheerans and Yozorans are growing rather," he paused thinking of what to say, "close." he finished.

Freya nodded, agreeing with the wolf. She hadn't been a proeliator for long at all, and Severian had been a neophyte while she was for a bit. "I know what you mean...." she murmured. Thinking for a moment, she added, "I remember hearing legends about Wind and Sky...about Shimmering Mist and Storm Mist. About how they complimented each other, bringing out the very best of their packs in the midst of their unity. Perhaps the same was with Blood Mist and Night Mist, but I do no know of their legends as well as ours. Siv and Destiny never did fare well with each other, but that was not always so. I believe they feared each other, perhaps. Most likely because of the way their packs nearly joined, the way they were nearly destroyed, and the treachery some wolves committed to stop it from happening. They were scared to give each other any slack because if they did, they might become friendly packs, and if that happened, this would've been ocurring a lot sooner." She hesitated, then blinked, almost amused, "Does that make sense to you?"

Severian blinked and turned his gaze towards her. "I s'pose," he chuckled in a falsely astonished voice. "Unity is always great, but whether it is a horrible great or a wonderful great usually lays in the paws of the united." His tail swept over the sodden ground, he let it rest when it sat around his paws. "Its hard, yet, to see if the Yozoran and Sheeran relationship will be horrible or wonderful, but as they grow closer, they push us farther away. This could-- will cause conflicts between us, and if they grasp the Destinians as well, we have no one."

Freya nodded. "They'll be out to suck up to the Destinians because they're currently the largest pack in the forest. And then they'll need more land, and push us out of the way. We need to secure an alliance with the Destinians while we can." Freya hesitated, then added, "Maybe we should talk to Sabela about it?"

"Maybe-- yes, yes we should.." he murmured vaguely. "Well, lets go alert her..." Those Destinians are popping up like rabbits... RABBITS I SAY!
