Aliya now stood a top the tall rock. The figure of her mate, and the past Destinian alpha Sirus lay in the center of the clearing. Maw was opened and, instead of the ceremonial words, strangely enough a howl of summoning was given.
Silas, Vetra Vaticana, Svel, Fyren and Michio all came into view. Sothis wasn't to be seen at the moment.
The stars still glittered above, it was around midnight. "Wolven of the Destinian pack, our alpha, Sirius, has fallen. Murdered by the rogues of Black Fury's gang, and left to rot in the forest. Sirius was a courageous, strong and independent alpha. He truly honored our pack and the alphess whose name we carry. Now, we pray that he rest peacefully among the wolven of Twilight and watch over us from above." Aliya's voice was much calmer and the tears no longer spilled from her pools. Apparently she had managed to come to term with her love's death.
Silas and Vetra Vaticana dipped their crowsn, murmuring soft goodbyes to their alpha and father.

Rehema appeared, having been out hunting. She gasped as she spotted the body of her alpha, still and laying in the center of the clearing. She bowed her head with grief, a few tears slipping out.
Fireflight bowed her head also. Well, at least Aliya is being strong. She will make a good alphess.

The fae dipped her grey,brown,ebony and white hued crown slightly in respect towards the fallen Sirius. Then she began to speak once again. "I am leaving to receive my lives as alphess within the hour. But, as I cannot leave the pack with no high ranking wolven, I shall appoint a new beta and proxy immediately. Though this goes against regular protocoal, I do not think the Twilight wolven will protest." Aliya looked around, taking in the few that had gathered. "Toss, though elderly, is a couragous and determined wolf. I trust that he will do well as our new Beta." He might not live much longer, but for now I need an experienced wolf as my beta. Aliya glanced around to see if there would be any objections. "For new Proxy, I have chosen more carefully. Fireflight is a willfull, strong, intelligent young wolf and she will make an excellent Proxy of the Destinians."
Svel nodded her agreement and approvel of both choices.

Fireflight, despite her grieving, cracked a smile. "Thank you, Aliya. I'll do my best." She vowed. Wow...Destinian proxy! Apparently I'm more liked than I thought....
Rehema nodded her approval, smiling slightly as her father was chosen as beta. "The old man's still got it in him!" She murmured in his ear, eyes laughing.

Aliya smiled slightly. "Don't thank me Fireflight, thank Svel. I came to her the other day, wondering who she thought was fit to be new proxy. And she recommended you."
Svel twitched and nudged her pups back towards the Nursery.

Fireflight glanced back at Svel, amazed. "Thank you, Svel," she murmured. She thinks I'LL make a good proxy? Wow.... No words could quite capture Fireflight's genuine shock and amazement. However, she nodded, resigning to do the very best she could.

Svel grunted, she'd been rather irritated lately. A slight nod was given and she disappeared back inside the Nursery.
Aliya sighed deeply and lept down off the rock.

Kunai sad down happly when he heard that FireFlight was the new proxy. This was great. Now to tackle her with ultra great fun! Well not really. FireFlight will be a fine proxy and Aliya will be a good alphess.
((Sorry, good flashback with Kunai and Fireflight! ^_^))

Fireflight decided to go look in at Euphrates to see how his wounds were healing. The fiery wolf disappeared into the healer den.
Rehema glanced around, wondering if anyone was up for a hunt. It wasn't wise to hunt alone in these times.

((Tell you the truth I don't even remember a wolf named Toss!))
Kunai looked around and plus... then again the worst thing that can happen was him getting his butt kicked by FireFlight within the first five seconds just to tackle her playfully. Besides that... his life is boring, crossing out that one time with him almost got murdered by Lily but yay, he's still here. Lupis that was close! He got up and walked to Rehema. "Hello." He said to the wolf.

Toss had lowered his head, heart heavy with the loss of his Alpha... but perked his ears from where he sat in a corner of the clearing at Aliya's next announcement. "Eh?" The old man was confused with the words... but, after a moment, he realized their meaning.
HOLY SHIT, I'M A BETA!
He fell against the ground, having fainted from shock.

A silver figure appeared from the Nursery. "Uh...Toss? Are.. you okay there?" Svel tilted her head. Swiftly the bearer padded towards the older wolf, practiaclly a senior citizen to her. She nudged him.

Toss didn't move.
...
"I'M ALIVE! NOT TO WORRY!" he cried out suddenly-- not to mention loudly-- as he jolted awake from his unconscious state. "But... this means... I'm still young! HAHAHA!!"
He started laughing hysterically.... before trying to get up and tripping over his paws until he was on the ground again.
He landed with a thump.
THUMP!
