The brute smirked somewhat. Optics glittering as he gazed upon the figure of his mate. Yes... Right to Hellfire... If not farther. Swiftly he followed the fae, not even glancing in the direction of the other alpha's as he took up his place at the Twilight Stone.
Aliya snorted and glanced towards Sabela. Rising the fae, flicking an aud in irritation, made her way towards the Twilight Stone as well.
Sothis glanced around, nuzzling Carolina some more. The brute seated himself next to his lovely mate.
Iver's optics turned towards the alpha's.

Shade sat down, kneading the ground in front of him with his paws. Soon after, he heaved a heavy sigh and glanced up to scan the crowd... for whom, exactly? He wasn't all too sure he was even looking for someone... just anyone. Anyone that wasn't thinking of war and alliance. True, he was a loyal Yozoran, but he didn't think of the other packs so badly because of their refusal. I certainly wouldn't want to share my prey with another pack... And he was a wolf that never usually asked for help anyway. He didn't want help. Shaking his nightly gray fur, Shade rested his eyes on a Siverian fae, wondering if she was as foolishly obsessed with alliances as his peers.
Toss sauntered up to the meeting, dazed and unfocused as usual. The old man was Beta. It both surprised him and filled him with a strange sort of pleasure. If only Thoth could see me now...
Bain followed Light closely with his eyes, his great bulk and rippling muscles tensed as he surveyed the clearing. If there was trouble, the powerful brute was ready to fight.
Coal sat stiffly in a corner of the clearing, confused thoughts racing through his head. Dear Lupus, why is everything always so difficult!?
Rapier sullenly watched the packs split into groups, and sighed softly to himself. What's happening to the forest?
Sedaka slowly stopped to settle himself in a sphynx-position on the ground, bones aching as well as his old heart. Not much longer now... he thought tiredly. He was more than ready to join his ancestors.

Annelise sat down next to Shade, murmuring a hello. Wolves were still milling about, since Sabela hadn't joined the other leaders yet, which meant it really hadn't started yet. "Please tell me I'm not the only one who's irritated with this...this....childish behavior?" She sighed.

Akaira wasn't here. She'd never attend another Moonless Meeting. Rogues did no such thing. Far off in the forest, this very night, she was facing her destruction; or so it would seem.
Silas glanced up at Sedake. "How much longer do you have, Sedaka?" He asked the words in a calm tone.

"Very little," Sedaka replied slowly, voice hoarse with age. He had to be one of the oldest wolves in the forest! "But at least I'll be with my family again... I'm ready to move on."
Leaning back on his haunches, Rapier stared up at the sky, thinking back to his briefly happy childhood... I wonder where you are now, sister? He tried to picture Akaira now, full-grown... but he only saw images of his brother. And that was enough to make him want to stop thinking about his past at all.
Shade nodded, although mildly surprised that the femme had approached him. "They're all behaving like immature pups," he muttered, rolling his eyes. "It's not like we haven't had a bad hunting season before..."

"Bad hunting? Really?" Annelise spoke, suprised. "Ah, that's true...last greenleaf wasn't good for us, either. Not sure why -- guess it's just a way of our world." The young healer blushed suddenly. "Sorry, I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself. I'm Annelise...healer neophyte of the Siverians." She was the age of a young warrior, but hadn't been formally made into a healer yet. Magic was taking his time, she supposed, in teaching her, but she wished he'd ask Sabela to do her ceremony soon. She'd feel less awkward;; her friends were already warriors, and though she was actually older than some, she still carried the title of neophyte to her name.

Rapier's eyes blinked in surprise, and he stumbled back, into the bushes surrounding the clearing. "Mother!?" he whispered sharply, hardly daring to believe that he had just heard Destiny's voice... but he had. Akaira... was she in trouble? But I don't even know where she is... or what she even looks like now! But she's my sister! At the last thought, Rapier turned and slipped away into the woods, heading deeper into the forest and wondering how the hell he was supposed to find her.
Shade smiled, noticing that she seemed slightly embarassed. "You don't look like a neophyte... in fact, you don't look much younger than me," he chuckled. "But I don't suppose that matters. Well, my name is Shade." He bowed his head, dark fur ruffled in the breeze. "A pleasure to meet you, Annelise."

A barn. Near the Twilight Lake. Many scents there, pups, wolves. Two of them, two of them are who you must save. Loni. Akaira. Your sister, your half brother. Save them. Save them from themselves.

Annelise shrugged. "I'm supposed to be a full healer soon...I guess Sabela's just a little busy with everything..." she woofed, slightly bitter. This evaporated almost immediately, as Annelise rarely dropped into depression or pessimism. She smiled as he told her his name. "It suits you," she replied.

Shade chuckled. "Yeah, I'm not sure my parents had very good imaginations." He rolled his eyes to show his sarcasm. "Anyhow... what's it like, then? Being a Healer, I mean." He felt himself relax, amber eyes calm. At least some wolves know how to talk about things other than war.

Annelise shrugged again. "It's hard work, though many wolves don't really see it as that. It was hard at first to memorize everything, then go collect it, yada yada yada, even boring at times. But I remember....it was after the first gathering....a few wolves were shut down in shock. Sure, it wasn't anything big but....I did something. I mean, I actually helped somebody. Then came the simple thorns stuck in paws....but the epidemic was something else! At first it all excited me -- but not exactly happy. The happiness comes after a wolf heals....but throughout those three moons, I barely rested. And after the first few weeks, it became so serious...it was hectic, and I flew everywhere, and I just wanted to drop into a nest....and stay there. But I kept going, because just seeing their faces....it made me fight on. And anytime there was anything I could do for any wolf, there was a nervous, infectious feeling...but it's always coupled with determination. And then after....after the epidemic....and after I'd slept in for a few days....it felt good to walk around and see everyone...normal. Well....am I making any sense?" She laughed, almost giddy. "I suppose, since the Siverians haven't been involved with any battles, that Magic wants me to have more experiance in that area before I officially graduate...something like that. But really...warriors all talk about the thrill of battle, like I don't know it...and true, maybe not exactly...but I think I have a similar feeling with my work...." She wasn't sure if he really understood her long spiel, but she hoped so. No one really wanted to listen to a chattering wolf when they were so concerned with battles and alliances.

Shade listened intently, and then laughed after she had finished-- not a mocking laughter, but friendly. "That's really very interesting.. I don't think I could be a Healer. I'd hate been depended on to heal others..." He shrugged. "You must be pretty tough to take on a task like that."

Annelise smiled, eyes twinkling a bit. "Eh...sometimes, yes. Other times I think I'm just a big softie!" She frowned, but didn't stay in this state for long. "So what about you? What's being a warrior like?" She asked, curious. She'd heard many things from Freya, but wondered what it was like from someone else's perspective.

"Not nearly as interesting as being a Healer, I'm sure," Shade woofed. "But it's mostly tiring: you're always on your paws, keeping your senses alert for prey or intruders." He shrugged. "Battles are pretty intense though... you just got to hope that you and your buddies are going to come out safely on the other side when its over." His eyes shined with an unreadable emotion for a moment. "...but its worth it: the dedication, the loyalty, and the thrill of victory... although I have to admit that I perfer hunting as opposed to fighting." He shook his fur quickly, trying to hide the unseen emotion: it was sorrow, he knew... the sorrow of his lost brother and sister... the sorrow of remembering being captured and having to fight to return to his family...
