Carolina nodded to Chouko. "I'm Carolina, and this is my brother, Thunder," she nodded to her brother. Carolina stepped a bit closer to Chouko so Destiny wouldn't hear. "We could train together if she lets you in! You'd love it here!" She told the wolf, her tone friendly and light.

"Wow, really? I hope we get to train together, too." She bowed towards Carolina and Thunder. "To think I was so worried the first time I came." Guess I really didn't need Wolfgang's help.
"Why weren't we greeted like that when we first came?" Zuni whispered to Grug. "All we got was the not-so-best greeting from Destiny. We never were walked up to and said hi to."
"Oh shut up!" Grug whispered back. "Like that really matters. At least we were actually accepted in."

Skysong sat next to Sothis and glanced questioningly at her brother. She had been mulling over his words before, about darkness on the horizon and trouble still brewing. It made her uneasy. Sky looked around and smiled at Sirius. He had always nudged her toward being friends with other pups rather then just Sothis and hanging around with her parents. At least now he couldn't complain as much.
Sirius smiled back at his pup and sighed tiredly, licking one of the healing wounds on his foreleg. "This is going to be hard to get used to" Sirius murmured, glancing around their new camp.
Silver limped over to Grug and Zuni, her hind leg still red-brown with dried blood from the jagged gash on her hip. It hurt like hellfire but she wasn't complaining. "Will you quit complaining? Destiny let you into the pack, that should be enough" she barked good-naturedly to Zuni.

"It's just that..." Zuni didn't have anything to say so he looked away.
"It's just that he's jealous. Right?" Grug poked his brother waiting for a reply. "Fine, then. Don't answer me. I'll just conclude that you're jealous."
"Why would I be jealous?" Zuni glared back at Grug.
"Don't ask me. It was just a guess." Grug smiled. "Did you see Wolfgang coming in with that Chouko?" He asked Silver. I was surprise he would actually help anyone."

Destiny nodded her head. Chouko looked around neophyte age to her. There were still a few more ceremonies to do.Neophytes now. "Sothis,Skysong,Carolina,Thunder,Chouko and Kunai. Some of you are past the age which needed , others below. But you all survived our great journey and in good health too. You are more than ready for the duties of a neophyte. Do you swear to obey your mentors and stay loyal to your pack?" She turned her gaze upon each young wolf.
Sothis turned to Destiny as she called his name, along with many others. Padding forward he dipped his head slighly in respect before replying. "I do."
Destiny nodded to Sothis."Silver. You are a brave, and intelligent wolf. I am sure you will pass on these qualites and many more to Sothis."Destiny glanced in Silver's direction.
Sothis turned to look at Silver. The deep, knowing, look still in his midnight blue pools. As it always was.

"I do" Skysong barked, waiting patiently for her turn to be given a mentor.
Silver frowned slightly when Grug spoke of Wolfgang. She had a great dislike for the odd brute. She glanced scathingly at the male but wiped the expression away as soon as Destiny spoke her name. A neophyte! That was a shock. Before Sirius, Destiny had tried to make Silver a proxy. She had turned it down and now she had a neophyte. Maybe Destiny was seeing something she couldnt? Either way, Silver wasn't going to complain. She rose to her paws and limped over to Sothis, touching his head lightly in greeting and smiling in a friendly way. She was an upbeat wolf though Silver had to admit, Sothis's eyes could be a bit creepy if you looked too long.
Skysong's tail wagged happily as her brother received a mentor. She had traveled some with Silver, when Sirius had been busy and Sothis had vanished off somewhere. Silver was a good wolf, just a little banged up at the moment. Sky smiled at Silver and grinned at her brother, trying to act like she wasn't still bothered by his words.
Sirius smiled proudly as he sat beside his mate, flicking her side with his ebony banner and glancing at her with a loving look in his eyes. Their first pups were becoming neophytes! It was a proud thing, since Sirius had been in the pack only about a year. He had settled well, now Beta, mated to the most wonderful wolf in the world and two healthy pups become neophytes.

Destiny turned her gaze to Skysong. Then glanced at the wolves gathered. At the last second the femme changed her mind. "Bluefrost, you shall mentor Skysong. You have many good qualities to teach her."The alphess glanced around for Bluefrost.
Sothis gave Silver a respectful lick on the shouder.

Carolina stepped forward and nodded solemnly. "I do," she promised. She meant those words deeply. She looked up at Destiny, wondering who the wolf would choose to mentor her. She'd been a bit nervous about this part, but there was no turning back now. It'll be fine, Carolina! She mantally prepared herself. There was a chance that whoever her mentor was would think of her as unloyal due to her temporary stay in Silver Mist. She was determined to prove them wrong.

Silver led Sothis back over to Zuni and Grug and sat back on her hunches, wincing slightly. The gash on Silver's hip was healing but still stung now and then with certain motions.
Skysong smiled brightly, tail wagging happily as she leapt to her paws. She'd also traveled with Bluefrost. Though the blue-tinged warrior was a bit clumsy, she was smart and Sky respected her for that, even if she was shy and odd sometimes. The two touched noses and Skysong followed Bluefrost to the fringe of the crowd, often where the shy fae could be found.
Sirius smiled in approval of Destiny's choices for mentors for his daughters. Maybe Bluefrost could settle Skysong down a little and perhaps, Silver could liven up Sothis. His son was always so serious and sober. Sometimes it worried Sirius that Sothis would never learn to enjoy some of the lighter parts of life. Sothis was almost Sirius's oppisate though they looked so alike in appearance.

Star gave Kunai a small nudge forward. "Go ahead! This is what you've been waiting for!" She smiled encouragingly at him. I wonder who Destiny will announce to mentor Kunai? Star still privately hoped it was her, but knew that there was also the possibilty it wouldn't be. In that case, it would be good for Kunai to have realations with other wolves.
Nirvana looked up, suprised to see Carolina. Though inwardly, she'd expected the wolf to return to her birth pack. She and Blue Moon had been young and foolish. At least Carolina realized the mistakes she'd made and was attempting to correct them.

Destiny smiled at Carolina. "Carolina, I, shall mentor you."Destiny padded over to Carolina and smiled at the young wolf. The two faes had many things in common.
Sothis seated himself next to SIlver. Glancing up at Zuni and Grug. Then at SIlver's wound. He studied it for a moment. Then decided to leave it be.

Eli, who had been settled at the back of the pack, licking a small gash on his front paw, lifted his head when the cerimony began. He was going to look for his friend Bluefrost, to make sure she was ok. He hadn't seen her sice the battle bagan. But when Destiny called out her name for a neophyte mentor, he gazed at the young pup, Skysong, and thought of how lucky she was. When Destiny assigned herself to mentor a young pup, Carolina, he thought of what a caring leader she must be, and was happy to have sidled into her pack. He would talk to his friend after the cerimony. For now, he'd just sit here and watch the excided little neophytes-to-be and their new mentors.

Bluefrost glanced around and her dark brown pools landed on Eli. She had lost track of him during the battle but he didn't seem heavily injured like some. Blue's eyes flickered over to Sirius and Silver before glancing back toward the grey brute. She flashed a quick smile at him and settled back to watch the rest of the ceremony.

Out of the corner of his grey-green pools, Eli caught site of movement; Bluefrost. Looking her direction, he saw the fae smile at him, then turned to watch the rest of the cerimony. He smiled, and looked at her little neophyte, then turned his attention to the rest of the meeting, too.

Carolina's eyes widened in genuine suprise and delight. Destiny, aplhess of the Destinian pack, was going to mentor her? I guess miracles really do happen... She stepped forward, a mixture of nerves and excitment in her movements. She lightly butted her head against Destiny's, as was tradition. She stepped back into the crowd, still awed by the series of events that had just occurred. Damn. I guess I DO have SOME good luck... The gray neophyte wondered why Destiny had chosen to mentor her. Maybe I'll find out without asking....some questions are like that. I have a feeling this is one of them...
