Her tears did not halt as she nodded slowly, her untamed heart pounding hard against the cage that would not maim. She pulled her claws from his chest, her eyes not leaving his form. "I can feel it stalking us--- the decision." she glanced around them, her claws gripping his chest again.

"Anelie..." was all he could whisper as he pulled her close. "It's going to be okay, all right? I'll do whatever you need me to do...go wherever you want me to go. Just please, please don't hurt yourself...." He begged her, tears streaming from his eyes.

She pulled herself towards him, her claws firmly gripping his chest. Her gaze was saddened, almost saying she couldn't promise as much. She pressed her face into his strong chest, her face in his fur, taking in his scent that had been masked over by the scent of her fresh blood. "If we ever part, my love, it will be my only choice."

"Then we won't, Anelie. Wherever you want to go." He promised, overcome by emotions. Does she forgive me...? Where are we going...? I love her.... He felt messy internally. He wasn't sure how to untangle this, but he knew he had to stay with Anelie. For his sake. For her sake. Because he loved her.

Her eyes were desperate when she tore them from his chest, for she didn't know where to go;; she had never been beyond the packlands-- well thats not entirely true, for she had been in Spirit Woods, which is way beyond the packlands, but her visit in Spirit Woods would not help her now. She pleaded him with her eyes to make the decision, she felt weak and helpless as she stared up at him, eyes still not seizing the endless tears.

It finally hit him: Anelie wanted him to choose. Rye swallowed, uncertainty crowding his gaze. He wasn't sure where they should go. He thought of his father, who had similarly run away from places throughout his life. But he'd returned. He'd returned and was born anew. Did he even want to leave? He was a warrior now. But war was breaking soon. He thought of Winter. She would fall to pieces; Mythic had left them, too. But if they ever found out what he'd done... They wouldn't. There was no blood, nothing like that from the poison. But could he honestly bear all of that and remain there? He looked at Anelie, intensely in thought. What did she want? He didn't know.... "We can wait, love. We can wait until it's clearer what we're supposed to do...where we're supposed to go..."

Anelie nodded slowly, her tears seized, but still welling within her dark green optics. She knew that was the best decision, better than going.. better than staying;; the best thing they could do, was wait and think. She let her tear-filled eyes gaze up at him in a caring, yet intent way. I love him... but I worry for him. How is he going to cope? Especially when and if they find his mother's body.. there will be questions.. they're will be mourning. And misery. Lots of misery. From the whole pack, but especially her pups.

Rye sighed and simply held his dear Anelie close to him. There would be lots of pain, and it would be one hell of a storm to drill through. but one way or another, they would get through it together. As long as Anelie was there, he would be fine. He could get through all of the hurt and agony that was slowly deterioratin ghis insides. It would cease with time. It would cease by Anelie's touch. His thoughts flickered for a moment to an entirely different topic: Winter. What was Julian thinking? And why had he been so...bluntly violent about it? Was his sister okay? He leaned back to look at Anelie for a moment, then nodded unconsciously. "All right...you ready?"

Anelie was swarmed with her own thoughts. Thoughts of how her dearest Rye would cope, thoughts of the war that seemed to stalk closer with every moment, but most of all she was thinking of how she deserved the heavenly god that was holding her so close. He was like her Midsummer's day, her warmth when none existed, her love when all was lost. She knew this, though she hadn't admitted to herself quite before now, and she knew that with out him everything to her world would be blackened without him;; for without him she would not be able to see, there would be no light. One last tear disappeared into her ebony fur, then she nodded. "Of course, my love," her voice sounded, not sounding as stable as she had hoped.

Rye nuzzled her closely one last time before drawing away, breathing deeply and shaking himself in an attempt to rid his consicence of nervousness. He gazed deep into Anelie's eyes for a moment, mesmerized by the impossible perfection of her spirit. She'd forgiven even him, a murderer. She was more than he would ever deserve, but as long as she wished him there, he would be there. He twined his tail with hers, ready to head back to their home. Home at least for now. But home was only with Anelie.
