Lupus turned away from the pool, all alone beside a small puddle. He had seen the battle. It emotionally tore him apart... I caused this. He gritted his fangs. This is all my fault. "Verlust," he whispered to himself. "How would you react if I went up and spoke to you again? Kill me or hug me? Hate me or love me?" He closed his eyes tight. "I am the forsaken and the unforgiven... so are you. I know you don't love me like you said you did. I don't love you like I said I did. But can I hate anything anymore?" He paused. "Can I love anymore?" he echoed. "No," he growled at himself. "The voices are wrong. I know what love is..." "But do I?" he asked himself. He looked into the pool. "Do I?" "Yes, of course. I love Rhain more than anything." "But Verlust said--" "NO!" he yelled at himself. He was standing with one foot in the pool, upright, wings folded and arms in the air. Slowly, he lowered his arms. "No... not again. No voices anymore!!" He crouched, holding his skull with his claws. For only reasons he could explain, he began to tremble with tears dripping from his eyes. "Not again... not again... NO MORE VOICES!"

Siveria padded over to Lupus, leg intact, now. "Lupus?" She called, a bit dazed. "So this is what heaven is? Ya know, It's not really much different than the mountains!" She grunted. "Hey wait....we're still in the mountains....what's going on?"

Lupus swiveled about, a tear stain below his shining golden orbs. "Siveria?" He took another step back into the water, still walking in his werewolf form, upright like a human. Hastily turning away from the sound of her voice-- hoping that she hadn't noticed his outburst or his crying-- he murmured, "So, you're here, now."

"No, this is all a figment of your imagination!" She grunted with sarcasm. A few flakes of snow fell from the clouds. "So am I really...?" She began, unsure of how to ask her question. Had they won? Where was Verlust now?
