I Hope You Remember (KojoXFaith)

[Destiny]

Snowy white fae padded through the Realm Of Twilight. Finally ceasing her movement. Soft blue green pools searched the area. Looking for her dearest love. Her Kojo. Where was he?Raising her maw to the sky, silver tinted lips opened and a deep howl was emitted.

[Ärï]

Kojo's ears pricked as a howl rang through the realms of the fallen. Honey-toned eyes raised from the trail he'd been following out of curiousity. It seemed like a familiar scent he'd been trailing but the call was up ahead. His paws beat against the ground as he bounded along the trail, soon his speed rising to almost desperate, like a wolf fleeing fire. Kojo paused at the edge of a clearing, his eyes locking onto an ivory femmora. His eyes widened and disbelief and sadness. If he was right, that meant his beloved had died. "Faith?" he asked softly, his voice holding a gentle tone he used only for his mate and pups.

[Destiny]

The snowy fae continued her howl.Pouring from her parted lips a bittersweet song.

"Hunted. Riniging in our ears. Hunted. The gunshots loud and clear. Hunted. Humans screaming near. Hunted. Dogs snarling in our ears. Hunted. Across the terrain we fled. Hunted. Day and night, night and day for our whole lives. Hunted. Scars that crest our pelts. Hunted. Those which humans delt. Hunted. Our young pups so clear. Hunted. Images of fear. Hunted. Lost in memory and woe. Hunted. By their uncle so. Hunted. Neither friend nor foe. Hunted. Were our pups so dear. Hunted. Don't shed more tears. Hunted. For your parents oh. Hunted. Oh so long ago."

As snowy crown dipped to the ground the femme realized that the voice had been ther. Turning her ivory crown she saw him. "Kojo?" The scent was his. The eyes were his. The form was his. The voice was his. Was it really him?

[Ärï]

Sadness showed in the brute's visage as he looked at his lovely mate, his gaze tender and loving. "I'm sorry you're here Faith" Kojo murmured. "Made old by the world and driven from it." He felt horrible. He hadn't been able to do anything for her, even in his life. If anything he'd made things worse after his death. Kojo wished Faith hadn't died. He wished she could still breathe and have a heartbeat but...they were together after too many moons apart. Kojo padded into the clearing, two or three steps closer to his beloved mate. Moonlight dripped over his red-gold coat, topaz orbs glowing slightly in the darkness.

[Destiny]

The look that glimmered in the snowy femme's blue green pools was not of sadness or anguish.It was something of amusement, actually. "Oh Kojo. Don't be sorry." Snowy paws carried her bodice several steps towards the brute. Her mate, her love. "I would sooner be dead with you. Then alive in a living hell. My soul rests easy. Now that our daughter, your daughter." A smile crested snowy maw. "Sent my murderous, lustful, insane brother to Hellfire." A slight dip of her crown was given to Kojo. The femme was remembering how she had bowed to him when they first met.

Kojo took a step forward and touched his muzzle lovingly against hers. His eyes closed for a moment as he breathed in deeply, savoring a scent he had been unable to smell for moons. "I missed you" he murmured. Kojo looked quite different now that he was dead. There was no haunted, hunted and restless look in his eye. His muscles were lean and strong, his fur sleek. No scar ringed his neck from years of a too-tight collar and no battle scars lined his pelt from being forced to fight dogs. He was whole and healthy, this time it was true now that Faith was with him. Kojo stepped back a bit and smiled at his mate. "Still as beautiful as the day I met you" he murmured, licking her muzzle lovingly.

[Destiny]

Faith chuckled in pleasure. Rasping her soft pink tounge over his own muzzle. Returning the loving gesture.The snowy femme had been restored as well. No form coated with scars received from battles. Or from being whipped and kicked and beaten by humans. None from being forced to fight dogs. No tired, worn out, hunted look in her pools. Snowy coate was long and glistening with health.Muscle filled out her form. This is what she had once looked like.A smile crested her maw as she muzzled him in a loving way. "Still as handsome as when I met you.If not more."Came the words in melodic tones.

Kojo chuckled. "If I remember right I was quite a mess when you met me" Kojo reminded her gently. He had recently gotten into a tussle with humans and come out of it grumpy, on edge and wounded. When it was Kojo, any one of the three wasn't good. All three together had made one edge wolf, a wild animal wounded and cornered. Kojo sighed softly at the punishing memory. "Though I almost would have prefered to keep the scars" he murmured, glancing back at his flank and shoulders. "They remind me how much I had to struggle to get here though there's always going to be one scar left." His topaz eyes wondered back to meet Faith's gaze.

[Destiny]

Faith held his pools. "You've always been handsome to me. Not just on the outside.But on the inside."She murmured.Auds pricked at his words of the battle scars. "Some wounds never fully heal. I agree. The scars are reminders of the hardships you faced. I faced. Though some of them."she paused glancing off into the distance. "Can be seen only by ourselves and our lovers."Blue green gaze shifted back to him.

[Ärï]

Kojo nodded in agreement. "Wise as always Faith" Kojo murmured. Kojo looked into the distance and sighed. "At least I kept one promise to you, I stopped killing even if it was the end of me. But at least we can be together forever now." Kojo smiled softly at his mate. "Whe Serra and Sunblaze come, when they're old and blind with age, we'll come find them together." Kojo smiled at the idea, his family whole. He wished his daughters nothing but long and happy lives now that Ronin was slain and dead. Hopefully, this time, he would stay gone and leave his younglings in peace. Kojo knew there were many things he had failed to do for his family, but now he could at least try to make things right and never leave Faith alone again, not like he had during his lifetime.

[Destiny]

Faith's smile disapeared for a moment. Pools drifted away from them. The fae had basically killed her own mate. The only wolf she had ever loved. "You never left me Kojo. I alwasy hedl you in my heart. Though my daughters left me younger than hoped.I can't say I blame them. Sunblaze has always despised me for- for what I did to you. Serra, serra always beleived Ronin was her true father. Though I praise her for realizing the truth. The femme is thick headed." The smile re-appeared, but only slightly.

[Ärï]

"Though so different they're stronger together, even if they don't realize it all the time" Kojo agreed, looking into the trees as if trying to find his daughters. "Sunblaze's heart is lightened now, Ronin has fallen at her fangs and Serra will finally learn to be content." Kojo smiled and looked at his mate fondly. "Our girls are growing up fast. You did well with them Faith. You did what you had to to keep them alive and you raised strong young wolves, ones the world will be proud of."

[Destiny]

Faith nodded in agreement. "Two sisters.One born to the breath of her dying father.The other to the blood of humans dripped from Ronin's careless fangs." Faith glanced around suddenly."Hope died too, she must have ended up in some other part of the Twilight Realm."There was no scent of her deceased sister here. Faith stiffened. Auds pricked. A wave of sadness flooded her."Fate just died.As did my half brother and half sister. New Moon and Raku.My whole family is dieing or dead. You, me, Fate,Hope,Ronin,Raku,New Moon,Myst,Rane,Shadow Walker,Nuka,Dust. Who does that leave?" She pondered. "Destiny, my sister. Her three pups. Serra and Sunblaze our daughters."

[Ärï]

"Don't worry" Kojo murmured softly to his mate. He knew Sunblaze's heart wasn't beating for revenge anymore. No. It was beating for another wolf, a young brute. "Our family doesn't end there Faith" he murmured, his voice distant. "A few more hearts have just started beating." A small smile curled on Kojo's maw as he looked down at his mate, a mix of love and happiness in his honey-colored orbs. "Destiny, Serra and Sunblaze aren't the only ones left anymore."

[Destiny]

Faith smiled."How many more young lives shall we see?Right now there are three. Akaira, Rapier and Loni."Faith drifted into thought for a moment."Sunblaze is sure to have pups. When she is older, or so it seems." Faith thought of Serra."Serra on the other hand."Faith had never seen Serra give any wolf a loving look.Ever."I cannot say. No brute has managed to charm her yet."
