Rhain sighed with happy delight as Feather made the finishing touches. She put the veil over Rhain's head and stepped back to admire the effect. After a few moments, Rhain giggled with excitement, "We're crazy, aren't we? I mean, who gets MARRIED? Nobody. In fact, I believe this is both the first and last wedding you'll ever see!"
Feather nodded, smile never fading. "It's truly something, Rhain."
Rhain glanced at Feather, heart sinking. "Why, Feather? You don't have to--"
"Yes, Rhain. I have to. I'm passing on all I know to the one wolf who was meant to take my place. Then I will go. I will find my daughters, and the others, and bring them back. My place as goddess is no longer needed...my river leads elsewhere. I'll stay for the wedding, the celebrating, all of it. Then slip away when you're not looking.
"B-But...I'll need to say goodbye!" Rhain protested, tears forming.
"No, Rhain. This is your day. And there is no need for goodbye when I WILL be back," Feath confirmed determindly.
"Oh...very well...."
"Rhain?"
"Yes, Feather?"
"It's time you walked down that aisle."
Indeed, the music had started, and Sky was spreading black and red rose petals with Siv. She took a deep breath, and emerged from the cave where Feather had prepared her. The black dress of lace made it difficult to move, but Feather and Lucinda held up the ends. This made it considerably easier as they proceeded.
Wind waited to lead his daughter to Lupus. Silentnight, the maid of honor (I think it's called that) beamed from the other end of the aisle, winking and inclining her head towards Lupus.
And the audience stood.

"What do you mean you can't keep him away??" Lupus hissed, narrowing his eyes at Antonio.
"We'll try, sir, but we don't think we can," the wolf answered.
"Sorry my lord!" the others added.
The black wolf gritted his teeth. "Can you at least keep Verlust from getting in here?"
"That we can do."
"Thank god..." Lupus muttered. But, as he turned, his heart was heavy. He better not come...

Present
Dressed in a fine tuxedo(LOL), Lupus turned, eyes brightening when he saw a familiar wolf emerged from the cavern. The love of his life (or death, however you see it), Rhain...
He cast a sideways glance, and was relieved to see "the Groom's Family" section empty. Thank god.
He almost laughed when he saw Silentnight gesture toward him.
Riptide smiled, standing beside his old friend as the Best Man.
Desoto-- the old NightMist Proxy-- played a piano-like thing. XD

Death did a desperate attempt to hold in his fits of giggles at the end of the aisle. It was he who would say the words that would "officially" bond Lupus and Rhain together. His eyes gleamed with mischeif and dark humour. "Dad, you're very, VERY messed." he whispered.
Silentfire, Shiva, Rigmarole, Glen, and others stood as Rhain took her first steps down the long roll of carpet. Silentfire smiled the widest, glad for his adoptive mother.
'Cause it's nine in the afternoon, your eyes are the size of the moon, you could, 'cause you can, so you do...we're feeling so good, just the way that we do, when it's nine in the afternoon...
Feather and Lucinda let Rhain go with Wind and took their places next to Silentnight.

Lupus ignored Death's words, watching Rhain instead... and summoning, up all the courage he could, he managed to speak. "Rhain... you look beautiful."
Riptide's tail twitched in amusement at Death's joke.
Flame sat to one side, having finished her duties as flower girl, and watched her new "mother" with wide eyes. Wow... I love her dres. XD

(It's hard to type...I keep imagining a bunch of wolves in dresses and tuxes...It's quite laughable XD )
Rhain blushedand looked at her paws, a smile on her lips. "And you look handsome yourself, Lupus." She glanced at her father, eyes aglow. "I can take it from here, Dad."
Wind did not move.
He glanced up at Lupus with a hard stare. "I think we need to lay down some guidelines here..." he growled lowly.
Death leaned towards Riptide, murmuring, "Hm, let's see, no physical contact...you need a parent present...no dating untill after you're married..."

Riptide smiled, trying hard not to burst out laughing. "Sleep in seperate realms... no nuzzling until your my age..."
Lupus smiled at Rhain... which quickly faded as Storm began to growl at him. He glanced at Rhain's father, not protesting... but not agreeing either. Oh jeez... XD

((Well sense Stephen is dead because it's easy and quick! XD))
Stephen heard about a wedding ceremony so he might as well come to it. He dressed all fancy like and wondered if his mate would be there. Star died a while but this is the place were all the good wolves go to so... he roamed around the place. He sat down waiting for the wedding to start. He watched as one wolf told the basic rules. Only if he told Kunai about that and not to do that till he was married and that stuff.

Star's pelt brushed lightly against Stephen's. She said nothing, but sat beside him to watch the wedding proceed.
Rhain glared at her father, a rumble of thunder flowing across the sky, threatening to rain upon him. Wind glared right back. "I can do that too, you know!"
She sighed. "Dad, go sit down."
He narrowed his eyes, but left her to Lupus.
Death cleared his throat, struggling with his amusement. "Dearest dead, we are gathered here today to witness the formal and freakish joining of Rhain, the Goddess of Spring, as well as the daughter of Wind and Sky, with Lupus, God of Morbidness, former alpha of Night Mist, and son of stars, in the happy-go-luckiness that is love!" Death pronounced.
Valencia smiled next to Silentnight. She and Rhain had become quite close quickly. It was strange to think she'd never had a sister untill a few moons ago.

Lupus sighed in relief when Wind finally let them be. Turning to face his soon-to-be-wife, he began to wag his tail again, glancing from Death to his dearly beloved.
So far, so good.
Riptide muttered something under his breath. "Wow, everything's actually gone... right so far."

Stephen watched ast the wedding was going as formal ways. He bairly felt Star's pelt of fur. Thank goodness that he gained his sight back when he died. The wolf watched from the seating.

Death paused, not caring to lower his voice, "Yep. With luck like ours, today will be the apocalypse and Verlust should be turning up any second!" He snickered at his own joke, then glanced around to see everyone looking at him. He cleared his throat once more and continued, looking at Lupus. "Do you, Lupus of Shadows, take Rhain of Spring to be your lovely wifey for lifey?"

Stephen watched as Death continue on with the wedding with a joke about Verlust. Only is Siveria was here then it might has been intresting to see her laugh. He wondered about that for a moment and didn't think of anything.

Siv smiled widely at Death but surpressed her laughter. She whispered to her mother, "When Arroyo dies...we're getting married."
"Uh...yeah, that too. And do you, Rhain of Spring, take Lupus of Shadows as your hubby-bubbums?" Death yawned.
Rhain grinned, not minding Death, but looking at Lupus. "I do....in sickness and in health."
"Then you're both hubby and wifey...until the end of time. You may kiss the bride!" Death pronounced, gaze suddenly fixed unmoving from Lupus. "You ARE going to kiss her, right?" He giggled.

(I feel a "By the Sea" moment coming on XD)
Lupus paused, looking a little startled for some odd reason. A little hesitant, maybe? XD
Leaning forward, he was about to kiss--
"Did I miss anything?" a voice boomed.
Lupus froze, gritting his teeth and turning to look at the wolf at the end of the aisle. "God no..."
The GoldenWolf (Lupus' "father") stood at the entrance, grinning broadly.
(I had to do that!! XD)
