Winter's paws padded at a jog across the damp grasses near the Sparkling Stream. It was odd, but the famine had stopped abruptly after the last Moonless Meeting. She'd heard Mist speaking with another warrior that she thought it was a sign that they were not meant to fight against the other packs. At least not right now. Of course, the alphess had also said she planned to speak with Adrian to explore this all further. Winter didn't really know what to make of it, besides the fact that she wasn't so terribly hungry anymore. Honestly, she still felt a great animosity towards the Siverians and Destinians, and she still had some friends in the Yozoran pack. Well, at least we won't go hungry! And life was almost back to normal...almost. There was still the dark threat of Black Fury and his vicious gang to worry about, and there was still something on the wind, something sinister, foreboding, and yet she couldn't place it. It didn't belong to any of the numerous torments the packs had endured before; she knew that by the frightened look in some of the wolves' eyes. They were just as unnerved as she. Whatever it was, it was at bay for the time being. And they had their ordinary issues to attend to. She paused by the banks of the smooth, swift-running stream and drank her fill. It felt good, cool running down her throat. The day was hot and thick-aired, making her feel hot and sweaty underneath her thin white pelt. She settled on a medum-size, flat gray rock, taking refuge in the shade temporarily. Hm...I haven't taught Camryn much, as she is a newer neophyte. We should probably start with basic hunting techniques....

Camryn followed her mentor. Her tounge was lolling as she bounded, happy to be training. She wanted to help out her fellow packmates, by feeding them. She sniffed the air and didn't smell anything unusual, but she was one of the new neopytes and didn't know how to smell certain things yet.

Winter spotted Camryn and offered her a warm, welcoming smile. "Hello!" She woofed to the young wolf. Her smile widened as a warm, soft, gentle breeze tossed her lovely white pelt. This was the perfect day to practice hunting, especially scenting prey and similar techniques. "Do you want to get started right away, or do you have any questions for me before we begin?" She asked Camryn. She remembered when she was a neophyte that she'd been bursting with so many questions. Of course, Bree had answered most of them in due time, but she'd had to ask some of them herself. She waited patiently for Camryn, blue eyes thoughtful and intelligent.

Camryn paused for a second. "Yes. How do you smell several animals at once. Is it possible? If it is can you teach me?" She smiled. She hoped it was possible. It would be so cool.

Winter smiled again at Camryn's obvious enthusiasm. Winter had never really seen a neophyte that resented training, but she supposed there was a difficult one or two out there. She was very thankful to have one so enthused. "Yes, it is possible, and in time, I will be able to teach you. But, we must start with simple things, and from those foundations, we will build on your skills. Eventually, you will be able to smell many thing at once," she promised. "Anything else?"

Camryn thought a second more. "Not right now. But as I learn more I will have more questions." She sniffed the air to try and smell anything. It all got mixed in her head when she tried to reconize it all. I have a lot to learn. She thought.

Winter nodded with calm udnerstanding. "All right, then! Let's get started. We'll just have a quick warm up jog -- it's nice to get your limbs working, and though it seems merely physical, it also gets the mind to wake up a bit, too. Stay at my side and try and keep pace as well as you can. It's okay if you drift behind a little, and I expect as much, seeing as you don't know the territories as well as I do. And this will also give you a brief sight of your lands. Ready? Let's go!" Winter laughed softly as she took off through the woods, rushing down the slope with amazing, practiced speed.

Camryn nodded. She started after her mentor, careful to stay a few feet back to not get knocked in the muzzle by a branch. Glancing back and forth around her she tried to memorise every rock that was in the ground and where every tree was.

Winter's pace did not slow when the ground leveled out. She looked back casually at Camryn. "This is the Foxwood Hill that we are leaving now," she barked. "This is one of the best hunting places, and very good for endurance and training with speed, strength, similar works. We will come here often for said purposes," She seemed to be completely in control of her breathing. Much practice had given her this endurance and speed.

Camryn nodded. She was still keeping in pace with her mentor, Winter. "Will we go hunting there someday?" Camryn asked.

Winter smiled and nodded as she continued the run. "Yes, I would say so. Most wolves of our pack have spent some time in all areas of the territories. The land flattened out, and the Sparkling Stream was visible once more, curving away in the opposite direction. The grasses were tall and had floral scents. "This is the White Weed Meadow. It's good for hunting, but this is also the primary source of the herbs the herb healers use. Many wolves come out here for social reasons and meetings, too," She told Camryn.

Camryn nodded. "Do any poisonous plants grow here?" She asked, curious about that subject.

Winter nodded. "Yes, a few do, but they're easy to recognize by scent. The usually have a poignant odor, more obvious than the other plants. In any case, you shouldn't eat any plants unless you're supremely certain of yourself and have a good enough reason to do so," She informed Camryn. She continued across the meadow, heading into the woodlands.
Most of the trees were large, billowy willow trees. There were also groupings of evergreens and swamp oaks; basically a cobination of trees that grew by the freshwaters of the Sheeran Pack. "This is known simply as the Willow Woods, and this is our main hunting ground. There are other trees, but the willows are especially prominent because of our love and abundance of freshwater. Speaking of freshwater, I'll have to teach you to swim, too! It's a little quirk the other packs typically miss out on."

"That's AWESOME! That means other wolves out there can't swim, and I'll be able to. So that might be able to give us an advantage in battle." Camryn said energeticly.

"Well," Winter said, "Most of the other wolves can swim, just not well enough to use it in battle or even as a cooling device in summer. For them, it's a last resort. For us, it's pup's play. So it does give us a great advantage, but the other packs, similarly, have great advantages and disadvantages, too."
It would take longer to pass through the woods, as it covered a rather large portion of their territory. Winter's pace remained the same.
