The alphess padded into camp, three limp rabbits hanging from her jaws. Silently she padded towards the fresh kill pile and dropped her prey. There was something...off... about her surroundings. Something not quite right. With a slight shake of her head the fae padded towards the high rock and lept upon it. "All wolves gather before the High Rock for a pack meeting." Her voice was hoarse, as if it had not been used for awhile.
Svel slid from the Nursery and seated herself near Aliya. The silver beauty seemed very aware that her three children, Breeze, Michio, and Fyren would be having their neophyte ceremonies. She would finally be able to return to the Resting Dens and converse more often with her pack mates. Once again she would hunt, fight and defend. A welcome change from the atmosphere of the Nursery.
Fiery Fyren made her way across the clearing to sit just in front of her mother. Self consciously she gave her chest fur a quick lick to straighten it out. Michio followed close behind his sister and sat next to her.

Breeze bounded over to her siblings, eyes gleaming with nervous excitement and anticipation. Finally she would hunt and fight, learn the percise craft of what it meant to move like the warrior wolves moved. Her tail twitched, but she otherwise remained as solemn as still as she possibly could. Only her flicking tail and glowing blue eyes gave her emotions away. Wow! I wonder who my mentor will be? I can't wait until I start training! Finally, I get to see what's all out there, feel something other than that soft, squishy moss underpaw, see the flowing river, taste the winds....all of it. I finally get to be something other than a little advernturous pup!
Fireflight emerged from the proeliator den and took up the traditional proxy's place. The femme was vibrant and brightly colored in the glaring light of the setting sun, and her slender frame seemed almost ablaze. She smiled kindly towards the young pups, then looked to Aliya.
Everest appeared from a corner of the camp, looking sad and depressed. He was alone, like always, and sat by himself.
Carolina came from the nursery, sitting near the opening so she could watch her pups and still hear what Aliya had to say.

Silas slipped silently from the Herb Healer's den. The brute settled in a sitting position just outside it. Auds perked to catch the words Aliya spoke.
Sothis emerged from the resting dens. The brute padded across the camp and settled his figure next to Carolina. A soft lick given to his mate's muzzle before he turned, and pricked his auds towards Aliya.
"Breeze, Michio, Fyren. You have all reached the proper age, and myself and your mother, Svel, believe that you are ready to become Neophytes. Despite a few little mishaps." Aliya chuckled lightly, and smiled to the pups to show that she was just kidding. "Breeze, you are ready to walk the path of a neophyte, Edward will be your mentor." Aliya wasn't sure where the brute was, but she believed he would show. Or hoped anyway. "Michio, you will be mentored by Euphrates, he will teach you well.. Finally, Fyren, you have a lot of spirit in you... maybe too much... Fireflight will take you on as her neophyte."
Fyren practically danced towards Fireflight, smiling.
Michio looked around, searching for Euphrates.

The copper-brown brute who came and went when he felt, came back alone. Her sisters had gone hunting and he had been with Bella in the loner terratorries. He looked up and saw a few wolves looking oddly at him, "What?" he woofed, rolling his black eyes. Then he saw, or atleast got the gist, he hadno just been given a neophyte.

Fireflight sent Edward a sharp glare, rather uncharacteristic for her, but definitly warning him to pay better attention. She then turned to look at Fyren, grinning back at the young wolf. She butted heads lightly with her new neophyte.
Breeze bounded over to Edward but stopped, a confused look on her face. Had he really just zoned this whole thing out? Oh lovely! I get the mentor who doesn't even know he has a neophyte!

Kunai walked toward the high rock for the meeting looking at everyone. Apperently that there are pups that are ready to become neophytes and the alphess had choosed very wise wolves for their mentors. He just sat down looking at the others.

Fyren smiled happily up at Fireflight. Awesome! I get the Proxy as my mentor! Mom said she was there when I was born, but I can't really remember... She must be really nice though, if mom recommended her to be Proxy. The pup settled herself near Fireflight.
Michio flicked his tail, confused. He looked up at Aliya. Where's Euphrates...?
Aliya didn't notice the new neophyte's look. The alphess lept down from the rock and padded into her den.
(Cue first death of Aliya: Anyone, anyone?)

(Sure. Chase him into exile afterwards? =] )
Everest was there, waiting for Aliya, his eyes glinting like hard stone. His mother hadn't been respected for her independence, her attitude, her sparkle, her brilliance. And neither was he, respected, wanted, needed, desired, felt, heard. He was alon in this pack of imbeciles, and he refused to remain here, watching idiot after idiot lead the tight circle of hypocritical bastards. No. Now was time to take charge, time for him to tell them what's what, to open their closed eyes to the real world around them. Maybe his father had been a freak, a rapist, a monster. But maybe, if Nirvana and Sonofacat had met on different cricumstances, things would've been different. He wouldn't have had to remain here with this mindless, empty shells. He would've been born in the loner lands, where he truly belonged. Or perhaps not. Regardless of what should've happened and should've been, he had to look at himself mirrored in the present and where he wanted to be in the future. It seemed as if Twilight themselves had placed him there, to take over, to show the forest what really needed to be done, and how they had to do it. Now was the time for blood. He snarled viciously, leaping at the Alphess' throat when she walked into the cave, probably too soon for her to react. He tore recklessly, knowing that this might be his one and only chance to take her down. If he failed here, he would either be driven out and never get close again, or he would be killed himself. He didn't think being driven out would be so bad; he could organize some wolves to join him in his rebellion. But all of these thoughts left him as sharp white fangs rooted through her veins, severing and tangling the vessels in an attempt to bring death.

As the alphess slipped into her cave, her mind was not on the present moment. As usual, she was locked in the past. In thoughts of Sirius, of the times they had spent together. Of the joy of being with him, talking to him, smelling him. Knowing he would be there when she padded back into camp, bone weary and completely exhausted. Just knowing he was alive. None of that existed anymore, it was all gone. All in her memories. And it would forever be, her memories.
When the fangs met her throat she was still not in reality. Only the agonizing pain as she felt the blood seeping from her throat, her veins. The stabbing of the fangs, the choking in her throat. That was what brought Aliya back to reality. When she saw who her attacker was, she was hesitant to retaliate. Everest, a young member of her own pack. Such a young wolf, with so much ahead of him. Such a future, and he was unaware of what he could have had. Well, after this, he'd be lucky if he got to keep his life.
Front paws were risen, claws aimed to grab his shoulders and jerk him backwards. Hopefully ripping him away from her throat. But the alphess' energy was slipping away from her. The life was seeping from her body. If she had been successful in pulling Everest away from her throat, the claws at his shoulders would release the brute as her figure swayed then crumpled to the ground. Swiftly dulling eyes glazing over as the alphess lost the first of her twelve lives.

(On second thought, kill him. I don't rp him much, anyway XP )
Everest fell back, successful. Well, not completely, but it was definitly a start. He waited in the shadows of the den. Waited to take yet another life.

In mere moments the alphess was on her feet once again. The energy of a new life speedily flowing through her veins. Fangs bared, the figure lunged in the direction which Everest scent seemed to be strongest. Front limbs extended, claws aimed to burrow and rip at his shoulders. Fangs directed upon the flesh that was his neck, his throat. She'd kill the little traitor. Make him an example of what happened when you betrayed Aliya.

Everest hadn't been expecting such a sudden recovery, in fact, he'd been banking on a more gradual one. Now, with her fangs in his neck, his fate was sealed. He fell to the ground, bleeding and spurting blood profousling from the woudns in his neck. He died quickly after, eyes frozen to the roof of the den.

The alphess released her hold on his neck when he was dead. She gave a little cough, ridding her throat of his blood. Sort of. Then she grabbed the scruff of his neck, and dragged him out into the center of camp. "Mourn Everest, traitor of Destinian Pack, if you wish." Was her howl as she dropped the figure. Then the alphess turned and dissapeared back into her den.

Fireflight's eyes widened in surpise. "Not Everest..." she murmured softly. Her eyes were torn with grief. "Nirvana....I'm sorry. We've failed you nearly as much as he's failed us." He tone was breathless, tired, whispered. Few ever saw Fireflight in grief. She usually was all right, just quiet. Now, she looked distraught.
