"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T The slim, russet-colored femme made her way through the darkness. She slid easily through the rocks, the crevices, as she knew this place well. She'd been studying it like she studied her subjects, intensely, thoroughly, completely. There was little she didn't know about this region of the mountains. And there was very little she didn't know about the wolves she tested. She'd been dying to test him almost as much as she'd been dying to test Mephisto. And then, when the ideas came to her, in flashes at first, she'd forgotten about capturing Mephisto, forgot making him pay for the lives he'd torn away. She'd torn lives, to, but in different manners. She'd known Zethro and Pyre were gossiping old croons when she attacked them. She'd know Grim of the Siverians was a traitor to his pack. And she also knew that Loni had charmed her. Too much for her own safety, too much. She knew he'd raped again, and this wicked plan she'd devised might put an end to the torments of the females in this land. Well, they would at least be safe from one more tyrant. But if he survived.... If he survived, he would get a second chance. The femme slipped into a dark cave, fading from sight.

Scritch. Scratch. Squeak. Screeee. Scritch. Scratch. Screeee. The claws, pointed and sharpened earlier in the day, stained with scarlet that was not fresh, not from the current day, anyway, scraped loudly against the rock. A whistling, swishing sound came from the tail of the creature as it lashed back and forth through the air behind him. It almost seemed to be slicing through something, and it did in fact leave lines of open air through the fog that was quickly filled up again. Every hair upon the pelt was hard, sharp at the edges, and standing alone. It was like a million little claws upon his body, but they couldn't do too much damage, if any at all.
Silence
The creature had paused. Through the fog that shrouded the figure it would either be unseen, or barely noticed. Tail held high, in a commanding way, as if this was his terra, as he stood there. Not moving, not breathing. There was something off. Something different about his surroundings tonight. Shaking off the ominous feeling that had settled itself upon his shoulders like the body of a dead wolf he crept onwards. No sound from his claws, no lashing of his tail. Nothing but the deep, calm breathing. And that was barely audible.
Impulse
Paws, rather large in perimeter, had decided to sped the pace up ever so slightly. The brute knew this land well. The Mountains Of Endless Winter held his second home. Of course, it was rarely used, for it was nothing but a back up. Or a place to retreat to for some peace and relaxation every once and a while. What wolf doesn't need that? The breathing was quieter, the only sound that was noticeable to him, but it seemed like screaming to his straining ears. Loni was in a bad place, the slight breeze not blowing in his favor. It carried his scent to creatures that might be awaiting him, but brought no warning to the bastard.I’m calling out Only echoes respond But I scream ‘til my voice is gone Crouching in corners and hiding your face I’m sick and tired of playing your games

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T Sekhmet smiled to herself in the darkness, seeing Loni was completely off guard. How could he still not understand what was about to happen? Even after she'd explained her purpose, even after she'd dubbed him a rapist to his own face? Even after what she'd said back at the battle scene? She sighed heavily, moving forward out of the shadows. She almost felt sorry for him, almost. But the feeling flicked away faster than it had come. She moved with deliberation now, still taking care to be hidden from Loni. There were lives at stake here. Lives in the plural. Not just Loni's.
She sighed again, almost dissapointed he hadn't caught on yet. "Oh, Loni. Your ignorance still walks ahead of you....pity, really. Ah, well. You are what you are. Maybe you'll have the sense to change that. And fast." Without another word, she seized his scruff and slammed him into the rocks, not aiming to injure, only to knock him out for the time being.

Echoes Covering the muscular bodice was a canvas of ebony, dark as the endless night that existed somewhere in the universe, most likely. All throughout the figure were flashes, hues, miniature fires. The fiery, reddish color that existed not coming from either of his parents, but, quite simply, his own. It was hard to tell what was natural, and what was not. The crimson blood stains covered much of his pelt as well, not appearing as much in the darker places if at all. The optics of liquid fire, fierce, dangerous amber, burning into the rock around him as he moved. Slicing through the fog, attacking the crevices. Yet he did not notice Sekhmet.
Ignorance
Auds swiveled, crown immediately turning, as words were spoken by another wolf. A fae, clearly. Then the scent was picked up. It crept up his nostrils, winding its way into his head. Then, in some part of his brain, he registered it. Sekhmet. The perfection that was the she-devil who he had some faint bit of admiration for. The brute was given no time to reply, no second to react. There were suddenly fangs in his scruff, then the hard, cold rocks met his head and body. A glimmer of vicious fury in those optics, lips curled in a snarl lasting a millisecond. The pain giving him a splitting headache, and he felt himself slipping into unconsciousness. For all his torturous ways, his training, everything, the move from Sekhmet had not been expected. Sekhmet herself had not been expected. A quiet groan slipped from his maw and the bastard's head drooped. Not conscious, but not unconscious. He was in the land of semi-consciousness. Vaguely aware of what happened around him, vaguely, but unable to do anything. I’m not alone I stand amongst the voiceless Millions in the unforgiving sun

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T Idiot. Idiot, idiot, idiot! She shook her head and stepped back to examine the unconscious figure. Slowly, gingerly, she took his scruff in her teeth and dragged him deep into the caves.
The only light here was that coming from a small slice in the roof, too hight to reacha and to narrow to slip through. There was a dark pool in the center of the cavern, the waters rippling and lapping softly. Sekhmet had left the entrance of the cave far behind, and was now in the central part of their cliff face. She laid Loni down beside the pool, then dug out some herbs she'd left under the stones in preparation for this. Taking a deep breath, she made a light incision on his stomach. Not deep enough to spill any entrials, but just enough to make a red mark on the brute's stomach. Just enough to irritate him, just enough to push the fast-coursing nightshade poison in his veins.
She worked gently in carefully, not wanting him to wake before it was time. It was hard trying to get him to swallow most of the flowers. The easy part was inserting the juices from the stem into the cut she'd made on his stomach. She'd done this more for symbolic reasons than anything, though direct insertion of nightshade into the bloodstream would give Loni very little time. And for a cruel, heartless thing like him, that's what he got.
She looked at the two tunnels that led out of the cavern and smirked, glancing at the water. Neither of the tunnels led out of the caves, but the tunnel under the pool did. Loni might not guess that until it was too late, though. She looked into the other cavern next to the one she was in, observing her other victim carefully. Smiling she shook Loni roughly and spoke into his ear, "I've inserted a fast-moving poison into your bloodstream. You probably have twenty minutes to live, at most. Your task is to find the other resident of these caves. She's the key to the poison I gave you. Not only that, but she has a...condition that require immediate attention. Better get her out of these caves quick, eh? Oh, and there are more than you two wolves in this cave, Loni. I've got some little friends around here....oh, maybe a grzzly or two. And grizzly bears aren't so easily taken down, remember. Your partner will be a burden, but also the answer to your survival, now go. I'll be waiting for you."
She stepped back and leaped onto a large stone, curling up to watch her plans unfold around her.

Screams The feeling off teeth in his thick ebony scruff was registered by his brain. No response could be given to it. No reaction's made. Nothing. Half open amber eyes stared, glazed, at the blurry images as his figure was dragged across the rock and into the caves. Something close to a quiet grunt as Sekhmet placed his body next to the pool. Pain, like the slice of a claw, caused his body to twitch ever so slightly as the incision was made. Nothing more then that, not for the moment. The bastard was vaguely aware of the flowers being shoved into his mouth, of his body swallowing them. Vaguely.
Realization
The lids slipped closed, the bright light from the narrow hole far above had finally been noticed, and was irritating him. The ebony and fire colored, crimson stained, tail moved a little against the stone causing a soft rustling sound. The brute felt something close to his ear, and it perked a little, somewhat alert, to hear Sekhmet's words. That was when his body started to become alert again. Consciousness deciding to return. The brute felt his heart pound in his chest like hail the size of pups against the rock outside his cave during the worst of storms. The nightshade in his veins wasn't much noticed, or maybe it was and his body, due to it's training, was ignoring it. Somewhat.
Torment
The eyes snapped open the moment after Sekhmet had settled herself on her stone. Front paws hit the ground with enough force that he was up within a mere second. For a moment he teetered, and nearly fell over. The brute gave his head a shake to clear it, demanding the dizziness to leave him be. The light he had before noticed caught his eye and he tilted his head back, staring up at it. Eyes narrowed as he realized it was to narrow for his large body to squeeze through. He turned to stare into each of the two tunnels in turn. Gaze shifted from one to the other. Paws carried him towards the left, then the right. He would go by instinct. To his dismay, instinct refused the both of them. Snarling quietly he drew in a breath, searching for scent. Auds swiveling forwards to catch any sound. Eyes staring, searching for any sign of movement. Figure was readied, as he remembered her saying something about grizzly bears being in here as well. And that other wolf, he needed to find her too. Damn, Sekhmet was a wicked thing. He loved it so much. Here arm-in-arm We parade these streets And sing our songs (and sing our songs)

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T + N I G H T S H A D E Nightshade twitched, slowly waking. She was somewhere cold and dark, the soft pitter-patter of water sounded near by. She blinked rapidly, trying desperately to clear her skewed vision. Her entire body felt bruised, battered, sore. Her stomach was larger than normal; she was pregnant with pups and was soon due to birth them. She brushed her nose through her pelt, searching for scars, wounds, but found none. She was simply stiff.
Gingerly, she rose from the rocks, eyes widening and panic sprouting as she gazed wildly around at the unfamiliar cavern. There was only a small tunnel leading out of it. It seemed to lead to another cavern, but she saw flickers of movement, so she stepped back.
Suddenly, her eyes locked unblinkingly at a large, brown form that leaned agains the opening to the tunnel. It's large, muscular body inflated and deflated with air, taking heavy, deep breaths. Nightshade backed away, knees buckling unexpectedly. She was weak, perhaps even dying. She could give birth at any time. And she was trapped here in a cave, Twilight knows how she got here or where 'here' was, with a snoring grizzly.

Whispers The brute snarled, doubling back towards where he had awoken. Claws scraped against the stone. There was a scent here, a familiar one. More then one familiar scent, actually. The grizzly bears, or bear, he knew there was at least one, his mind had figured that much out, was near to him. To near, he didn't like it. There was another scent, a wolf scent. It was faint to him, masked by the grizzly. That wasn't good. That wasn't good at all. Optics narrowed as he glared down at the water. From neither of the tunnels had he scented air, clean air, that is. No breeze. No draft. Nothing that would signal that one one of them led out of here. So where else would he go? He couldn't see any other way out. The hole in the roof was out of question, she'd never have gotten him in that way. So it wasn't the exit.
Fright
The brute slashed his claws across the surface of the water. The pool was so dark, he couldn't see down into it without squinting his eyes, and even then he saw very little. Curiously, he shoved one paw in, expecting it to hit the bottom quickly. When it hit nothing, he became unbalanced, startled, and lurched forward. The front half of his body slipping into the water. Scrabbling with his hind paws, he pulled himself back out. "What the bloody Hellfire..." The brute gave his body a quick shake, droplets of the dark liquid splattering across the stone. When he was satisfied, he leaned over the water, peering down into. "You can't be serious, Sekhmet..." Tone was cold, hard, ticked off. Rocking back on his haunches, he turned, and moved away from the water. "No fucking way." The snarl was quiet, but it didn't sound final.
Danger
Pacing for a few moments, he scented the air again. Finding the scent of wolf, he zoned in on it. Paws carried him in the general direction of the aroma. As he became closer, it became evident that it was a fae. His mind was playing over what Sekhmet could possibly have done to her. What condition she would be in to be such a burden in their escape. They had to escape. He wasn't dieing here, not like this. Sekhmet wouldn't get the better of him. Suddenly he stopped, or rather, his paws stopped. Head lurched forward, and his nose just barely touched the fur. The brown fur. The grizzly bear. Loni froze. We’ve had enough Is there even anything left to explain? (We’ve had enough) Am I really someone you need to restrain? (We’ve had enough) Can’t you listen to what we have to say? (We’ve had enough)

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T + N I G H T S H A D E Sekhmet said nothing, only studied her claws with boredom, appearing not to have noticed Loni's prescence at all. She marveled at the possibility of him escaping, then laughed softly to herself. After doing this for three years, not a single wolf had lived through her lessons. Perhaps he would seek to kill her. Perhaps not. I would prefer if he didn't....too much of a hassel...besides, I like him. Maybe He'll learn his lesson. If not, bye bye Loni!
Nightshade worked hard to stay standing, the caught the sounds of approaching pawsteps. She peered around the corner, heart stopping when she spotted the notorious, well-known killer. But by the words she had heard, she knew it was not he who had put her here. "Please," she whispered, pleading. "I'm pregnant, I cannot die here!" She glared at him, determined and defiant. "I refuse."

Patience The brute, slowly, carefully, pulled his muzzle back, away from the bear. The scent told him that the fae he had to find was behind this great lump of fur. He had to free her. But to do that, he would need to awaken the beast in its lair. That, in itself, was a death sentence. Then again, it was only one bear. One bear he could take, hopefully. Amber eyes searched the blackness around the creature, catching some flash of movement, he thought at least. Maybe desperation was causing hallucinations. Damn it, he really hoped not. Auds slammed into his skull, and he glared furiously upon her figure, twitching a little as he remembered the Nightshade poisoning. He was wasting precious seconds, and every one counted when it was life and death."Even If I wanted to kill you, or had reason to," He snarled quietly, inching towards her. "I need you to live through this, or I die too. So shut-up, get out of the way, and co-operate or we both die."
Decisions
Loni made no more movements immediately. The brute new what he had to do. There was a no way a pregnant wolf would be able to fight a bear. Inwardly he cursed Sekhmet, screaming profanities in his mind, the most vulgar words he could think of. As far as he was concerned, at the moment anyway, death was not an option. If he survived this, maybe he'd make her pay. Maybe. The brute began to size up his prey. He was the hunter here, not the massive beast that lay sleeping before him. Carefully, he measured its size, the strength he'd need to muster. Suddenly he lurched forwards, fangs digging deep into the back of the bears neck fur, sinking in as deeply as he could force them to.Unknowing, we lie and wait for the rain To wash away what they have made Face down in the dirt with your foot on my back In the distance I hear thunder crack

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T + N I G H T S H A D E A warning hiss came from Sekhmet, suddenly. Her voice was stranged, apprently torn between helping them, calling off her little stunt, or saying nothing at all. "Think, Loni! Is she really just a burden, or is she more than that?" She shook her head and leaned back against the stone walls once more, silent again. Why does it matter if he dies? He doesn't know the value of the life he leads! I shouldn't care for an empty, cold tryant. I should not. But I do, and it is hideous.
Nightshade shivered, but then narrowed her eyes. "You heard what she said," she snarled in a soft hiss. "It's time you've stopped being so sexist!" She bit her tongue, then grinned suddenly. "Get back....but not too far. I'm going to jump...and you're going to catch me." She stated firmly, already stumbling away. She sounded far more confident than she really was. Inside, fear, panic, and nerves began to claw at her insides.

Singing It took Loni a few moments to release his hold on the large bear. The brute spit the fur out onto the stone, snarling with fury on the inside. He needed to remain calm, and patient. Patience was important here, very, very important. And not just patience with Nightshade either. Loni would need patience with himself as well. He knew he couldn't win in a fight against such a creature. Not alone. Sekhmet's words rang in his ears, repeating themselves. It was as if they were urging him to think, to understand the many possibilities that were there. The possibilities he just couldn't think of. Inwardly, he wondered why Sekhmet had spoken. She'd offered him help; given advice. Why? There was no answer that made sense at the current moment. And why was she doing this? Testing him in this way? What did she gain from his death? True, he was a vicious killer, a rapist, a torturer. But he had done nothing to Sekhmet. Nothing other then show her his home, and be a gentlemen by offering her something to eat. What harm had he done there?
Suspicion
The brute glared at Nightshade. If there was one thing he hated, despised, it was being ordered around. That was one of the reasons that he chose to roam, kill, rape, and such alone. He was a free agent. A lone wolf. A quiet snarl slipped from his muzzle, but Loni saw it better to co-operate with her. The brute backed away from the grizzly, not willing to turn his back on the beast just yet. "Ready when you are." He braced himself, body ready to take on her weight. It would be great, she was a full grown wolf, older then he, and pregnant. Nevertheless, Loni was certain he could handle it. Secretly, he wasn't so sure.C'mon Stand up ! This system of power and privilege is about to come to an end Here come the clouds The first drop is falling down (falling down)

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T + N I G H T S H A D E Sekhmet was restless, digging her claws into the stones to keep herself in one position. He needs to understand this if you are ever going to be involved with him, Sekhmet. If you feel this strongly for him, it needs to be reciprocated. If this is what you have become, you cannot place your life in his paws. Not until you're walking on solid ground. Not until he understands what you are. You explained it to him, once, long ago, that you killed with a purpose. That you had values. And he stood there, trying to lie his way out of his crime. Hope that he will remember that day and understand why you have done this!
Nightshade collapsed again to the ground, something unknown making her legs weak. Perhaps Skehmet had poisoned her, too? Perhaps not. Either way, she knew what had to be done now, taking a deep breath, she coiled and leaped. She barely cleared the bear, ruffling the tips of his back hairs. She crashed into Loni, sighing with irritance. Luckily, she'd landed on her back. Loni wasn't much of a cushion, though. She glanced worriedly at her stomach, then stood, freezing as she saw the bear slowly waking. "Where's the way out of this place?" She hissed.

Understanding While he waited for the impact his mind was flooding with thoughts. Do you even have a purpose, Loni? Why do you kill? Because that's the life you were taught? Because it's how you were raised? Do you have any deeper reason? The image of a fae he despised to the very bottom of his heart appeared in front of his eyes, though she was not there. Still, he could scent her familiar smell. The brute was certain she was near, somewhere in these mountains. Waiting for her chance to pounce. Just waiting. Akaira? That is my reason? I want her dead. I want that bloody half-sister of mine destroyed, gone, shredded. But why? Because she killed Destiny and not me? Destiny was my purpose. She was my goal. When I killed her, I would be a true killer. A ferocious murderer. A deadly slaughterer. What other wolf can claim to have slaughtered a legendary alphess, and his mother, in the middle of a Moonlees Meeting with all the packs gathered around? I would have been famous amoung the wolves. But is that really what I wanted? Or did I want revenge? And what did I want revenge for?Troubles Distracted by his thoughts, the brute had momentarily forgotten about Nightshade. A quiet grunt, through gritted fangs, hissed from his muzzle as she crashed into him. The brute rocked on his paws, very nearly falling, but quickly collected himself. Narrowing his eyes, and backing a few more steps from the bear as he noticed that it was beginning to awaken, he glanced around. "This way." Turning away from the bear, and the fae, he darted towards the pool. Time was swiftly running out, his clock was ticking away. The brute snarled quietly, not really looking forward to this. "This is the only logical exit." He growled quietly, slashing his claws over the surface of the dark water. We’ve had enough Is there even anything left to explain? (We’ve had enough) Am I really someone you need to restrain? (We’ve had enough) Can’t you listen to what we have to say? (We’ve had enough)

"Despite the lies that you're making, your love is mine for the taking, my love is, just waiting, to turn your tears to roses..."S E K H M E T + N I G H T S H A D E Skehmet froze, suddenly petrified. Her eyes were wide as they locked in on the bear as it rose to it's hide paws, roaring a terrible roar that echoed throughout the cavern. It's black, heartless eyes were locked on Nightshade, tripping and stumbling over her own paws in an attempt to stand. She's disoriented. And she doesn't understand how close she is to birthing....how close she could be to dying, too, Sekhmet realized. Sekhmet stepped dwon from the stone, tail twitching oddly. "Go. Now. I'll be out in a moment," she told them flatly, her eyes meetin Loni's guardedly. "She's going to go into labor before we can get her back to her camp. Sorry, but you're going to have to make yourself useful. There are herbs under the rocks if I don't get out in time, okay?" Her eyes were pleading now, desperate. She'd never tried to keep anyone alive before. Ever. This was unheard of.
Nightshade became intensely dizzy suddenly, the taste of blood welling up in her mouth. This isn't right, there's something wrong. Why do I taste blood, what's happening to me? "WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME YOU DIRTY BITCH?!" She screamed at Sekhmet, furious. Sekhmet met her eyes, confused. "What are you talking about?" "Why do I taste blood?" She spat icily. The bear charged as Sekhmet stared at her wide-eyed, trembling. "Loni, get her out of here, now!" She leaped, latching on the bear's side and tearing into it's shoulder with her fangs.
