Feather watched the realm carefully, her duty in the heat of summer. Her heat. Her season. My rules. She smiled slightly, but it faded almost as quickly as it had come. She remembered speaking with Sheera, speaking with Amaya, with Fenrir, Rhain, Lupus, Rio, Sparkling Ember -- all of the wolves who had been there in the early days. All except for a certain few that she would trade much just to see one last time. She stared, unsmiling into the wilderness, as she recalled Sheera's words: If only Silenthowl were here! Maybe she could've healed Siveria.... Mom isn't fading away. Not on my paws. I'll find Silenthowl, wherever she is, and I will show Siv there's still reasons to go on. And Arroyo might be a good one, too. Anyone else, anyone else? Verlust better stay the hell away from here..... She looked hopelessly into the forest, eyes clouding over with nostalgia. Where are you now, Silenthowl? Storm? Snow? All of them. Where did they disappear?

"...you're serious?" Two shapes padded calmly along the sun-bleached grass, stepping along strips of shadows from the trees overhead. By their equally relaxed dispositions, one would judge that they were friends- and the sound of laughing emitted from one of their maws seemed to confirm the theory.
The second one twisted his lips into a disapproving scowl. Theory shattered. "Enough teasing Arroyo- I've had enough."
Lights of amusement dancing in his eyes, Arroyo looked away, swallowing the rest of his chuckles. "Yeah, yeah- sorry, Rio... it's just, well, come on- 'Athiest-boy'? You got to admit, it's pretty funny..."
Rio rolled his eyes. "Lupus thought so too, I'm sure..."
"...so, where's Silenthowl? I thought she'd be with you."
Seconds after the words left his mouth, Arroyo regretted them. Rio's ears went back, flattening a bit. "Er... I haven't seen her in a while, actually..."
"Oh... sorry, man. I didn't know-"
"It's fine."
"You sure-?"
"I told you it's fine, alright?"
They had stopped walking, an awkward silence engulfing them. Inwardly, Arroyo was suddenly more anxious than ever to see his mate. Although the pleasure of knowing that he was once again restored to his former strength and glory of his prime in his death was refreshing, he wished that he could find Siveria soon. I hope she didn't disappear, like with Rio and Silenthowl...
"Hey, isn't that Feather?"
Rio's voice brought him out of his cloud of doubt and led him to raise his head. "Huh? Feather?"

From the mist in the distance came a lone figure. Alone but enough to be seen as a wolf...more then that female by the form of the body and shape. But buy the extra long limbs and the careful step...it was almost certain to be just one wolf in particular. It was nothing the less but the wolf that has been gone for much time now...but not gone to long that for forever she has been erased from ones mind. But always remembered. It was Silenthowl. The one female that was always pondered...but who now rests in her peace in the heavens where she belongs...but only in the heavens where she was not suppose to be.
It has taken her much time to travel the skies and learn the paths of the stars. Finally coming to fall inside the heaves of Twilight instead of the Painted Feathers of her tribe.
Like the wolf tribe story says. Once one dies they return to there rightful place. Well it was a lie...and she was NOT in her place at all.
She walked smoothly her fur beautiful as it will ever be...her unique blue eyes blazing like the fire that silently burned within her gaze. Her step kicked once she saw the few she longed to see for many moons. A smooth trot came and she brushed her lean body against Feathers letting her nose fall over her forehead her smooth snout pulling toward her ear. I'm right here...where I always have been.[/i] She whispered to her with that calm cool voice licking over forehead and smiling. She had not seen the guys...but the joys of now seeing Feather was blinding her just for the moment.

Feather was rigid, suddenly gasping for air when there was no need to -- Feather had not taken a breath in ages. Warm fur brushed against hers, and she jumped, the formerly graceful healer falling backwards and tumbling of her rock perch clumsily. She slowly drew herself up, unblinking, staring at the wolf before her. "...." Oh. My.....BERTHA. "...um....Hello....I think I'm really dead now, you now?" She breathed in a high-pitched whisper. "I think before, now that was just a pile of crap. I died today!" And with that, she fainted.
"What's all this dying stuff about?" A large, muscular brute grumbled. His eyes widened in suprised, but he took the approach of this figure easier than Feather had. Perhpas it was because he'd had a warning before Silenthowl made contact. "Silenthowl?" he mused, clearly speechless.
"Can I ask you why you say such names, Fenrir?" A hoarse bark came from the mist. The she-wolf was withered, bareley holding herself up. She had once been a majesty, the very essence of the sky's blue and the breath of silver that was the moon. Once, she had been great, a leader in her prime. Respected. Whole. But the brilliant she-wolf had shattered, and now all that was left was the sickly, faded bone structure that limped towards Fenrir. "Is there something wrong?" she rasped. "My mate, pups, pack, they're all right? Or are you just determined to make me even more upset with myself?" She snarled, voice cold and unfeeling. Slowly, her head turned towards Feather and Silenthowl. For a moment she was completely till, but her eyes widened slowly, limbs trembling. "No...this isn't right....Death should stop playing these nasty games with me!" She cursed under her breath. "You hear me, son of Lupus? I'M NOT COMING BACK! NOT WITHOUT THEM!" She shook her head violently, backing away, tears pooling in her eyes. She did not yet see Arroyo.

Smile was played over the beautiful females mouth as she watched Feather. Such a silly girl, always have been like that. Concerned gaze was looked over her as she fainted but relaxed and looked up to another voice that came toward her. A glow came over her eyes as she ran forward to touched the wolf that stood before her. Yea Fenrir...its me. She spoke with a heavy tone, not letting herself cry. She licked him softly and nuzzled him...being one of the living that she has missed with all her heart.
Her gaze turned to land on another voice. A happy greeting about to leave her lips...but what she saw did not make her happy...it killed her inside all over again.
Siviera? she thought mentally to upset to even speak. She stepped toward the limping figure and swallowed the raw pain. As the female stepped away Silenthowl walked forward and sat in front of the female looking directly into her orbs. This is not a game...but only a gift...how have you been? She spoke the end of her sentence sounding desperate and wanting to no the answer. Blue gaze looked over her body...and she swallowed to keep herself calm.

[[HOWL!! HOWL!! HOWL!!! HOWL!!!]]
White mist swirled wildly, until, finally, the graceful, legendary alphess glided towards the large group of wolves. Her eyes sparkled, but with a odd type of emotion; there was no hint of happiness, or depression, just some kind of twisted... serenity? She spotted Silenthowl, gasping, not able to speak, still moving forward, her eyes wide. She choked as she also spotted Siveria, goddess of winter. She gasped and galloped faster, towards the goddess. "Siveria!" she called out to her, her eyes sparkling, completely forgetting Siveria's condition. "I'm sorry I've been gone so long, but I'm back!" she gasped. "And Silenthowl! I'm sorry I've been gone!" The goddess's tail wagged, her eyes bright with excitement, the odd emotions completely gone.

(*chokes on bagel* "Oh. My.....BERTHA." LOL XDXD)
Rio glanced over his shoulder, grinning now. “Yeah, Feather- you remember her, don’t you?” That’s when he noticed that Arroyo’s eyes had widened, and he was sure that if he could see the skin beneath his black coat, it’d be chalk white. “A-Arroyo? You alright? You look as if you’ve seen a ghost…?” He chuckled a bit at his own ironic joke, but when Arroyo didn’t seem fazed, he tore his gaze away. Strange guy... Turning around, Rio’s eyes locked onto a silver figure… Could it be? Dear Lupus, it had to be… “…Silenthowl?” He was too shocked to say anything else.
Even though everyone else seemed very stunned indeed by Silenthowl’s sudden appearance, Arroyo was scarcely bothered by it. After all, he had only just arrived in the realm of the dead- he had assumed Silenthowl was here already. Why be surprised to see other dead wolves about? But that did not lessen the storm of emotions that ravaged his mind when an all-too-familiar she-wolf appeared along with the others. He couldn’t move, and much like the brute beside him, only uttered her name… the name that seemed so fragile and precious as it rolled off his lips. “…S-Siveria…” …she’s distressed… she must’ve been for a while- I can see it… and I need to… Had he been alive, he would have shakily drawn in another breath. Seeing as he was dead, all he did was stare and try to organize his thoughts. …I need to help her.
“Silenthowl!” Rio raced towards her, suddenly breaking from the silence, mind racing. …what in Hellfire do I say to her? Who the heck cares? SHE’S HERE!

(Who wants to make a buncha cranky, gossipy elder she-wolves with me? I need a Wanda, a Gertrude, and a Whoopi XD I'll be Bertha. LOL )
Siveria frozed, trembling even more if that was possible. Her throat went dry, her bloodshot eyes suddenly clearing as if she'd been blind, seeing the mystic heavens before her for the very first time. She stepped forward, his scent swarming around her, a blanket, a release. His scent was joined by others, familiar. They're here to help you, Siv. This is heaven, paradise. Whatever made you think you were alone? "Silenthowl?" She murmured, her voice returning. She seemed to glow slightly, but she was still nothing compared to her former grandeur. She would return. With time. "Sheera?" Her words were careful, yet certain. She looked at them all for a moment, her eyes sad. "I'm sorry you had to see me like this." She turned away from them, padding unswervingly towards Arroyo. "I'm sorry you had to see this. I'm sorry this is the second time that you've had to face me when I'm worn dawn, barely hanging on..." her tone was pained, desperate. "But you're hear....and you love me still?" Her voice was half skeptic, half marveling. She'd remembered the scene in front of the mountainside very well. But after all she'd done, she was a witch. Could he really still love her?
Feather slowly came around, then grinned widely. "Oh, Silenthowl! YOU'RE FREAKING BACK!" She howled with delight. She didn't move towards her friend, but let Rio and Silenthowl have their moment.

Gentle gaze was held at her gaze but she was not a stupid one...noing well that her lover was here, she simply drew away with a grim shine to her orb. Where was her lover? Her mind did not think about it when she saw Sheera. A small soft smile came to her mouth but she said nothing touching her snout with her own letting that be all the words that where needed. The wise female looked at the leader that had been there all along. Almost like a mother. Blinking softly at her she looked around to see what she had missed out all this time. She looked at Arroyo and dipped her head at him letting him have his moment with his lover.
At her name being called by another she turned her head to see Rio...her heart could be felt beating even though it no longer held heart beat.
Her eyes glazed over with tears and she let out a whimper as she saw him. She had waited her long life to finish to be one with him...and now she was here with him. She did not let him run for long as she shot forward to meet him half way. She stopped and gazed at him for a while a tear falling from her amazing blue gaze....but this time with happiness. I've missed you... she whispered to him in a lost tone looking at him with that same soft in love gaze she always had with him. She walked forward letting her black nose touch his in a kiss in a passionate way....almost as if making sure this time she was not dreaming. She then jumped back and nearly tackled him to the ground drowning him in licks.

The alphess smiled kindly, hardly able to stop herself from pouncing onto them both; licking them until the whole of wolven kind attacked her and pulled her off the two wolves. She pranced without moving from her space. Her eyes teared up, with happiness of course, as she licked Siveria's muzzle, before she backed up allowing Siveria time with her mate. She licked Silenthowl's muzzle as well. Her wisdom had expanded in her travels across the many ancestor grounds, and she knew it was for the best that she allowed these many wolves as much space as needed. She smiled calmly and sat down, her tail curling around her paws.

(aww, isn’t that nice… my charries are loved XD And LOL Sivvy- I’ll make one XD I call Whoopi!!)
He nearly forgot to brake, but somehow managed to skid to a halt before fully crashing into Silenthowl. Gazing at her, so close to him… and no longer separated by the boundary of life and death that had vexed their relationship in the past. No, now there was only a few unspoken words between them. Within seconds, Silenthowl had spoken them. All three of them. Maw splitting in a wide grin, Rio laughed like he hadn’t in ages, shoved onto his back with the love of his life pressing down on his chest. Graciously, he returned the licks, comforted by the warmth spreading from his face down to his heart. “I missed you too.” It was all he could think to say, and his eyes did the rest. At long last…
…at long last. Arroyo drank in her beauty with his eyes, still rigid and unable to move from where his paws had rooted to the ground. Drinking it all in, yes… like a parched man finding an oasis in a vast desert. But seeing… seeing may be believing, but it wasn’t enough. Leaning forward, he engaged Siveria by touching his nose passionately against hers, closing his eyes as he breathed in her scent. She had changed… but he was determined that he could easily fix her. Fix you… Stepping back, eyes shining- with tears of joy or the sunlight catching his eyes afire was uncertain- he spoke with a slight smile. “Let me see… I don’t know- you drive a hard bargain…” A rich chuckle came from his maw, and he stepped toward her to embrace her lovingly. “Of course I still love you.”

Torn gaze, looked at Rio as there are many things in her life that she regrets doing. She looked down at her paws at his words and sighed softly. I have done many things in my life...letting you down. she whispered to him her ears slightly drooping. Her head lifted again looking at him. I...I'm sorry. she whispered to him with truthful heart on the line. A soft whimper came from her as she laid her body down to lay down and licked at his check with affection, her blue eyes narrowing but the tears still falling from her gaze. Visions of her pups...her life...her family that was destoryed flashing through her mind...it all being her fault.

Calming himself a bit upon seeing her eyes- more specifically, the tears in her eyes- he neither smiled nor frowned as he listened to her words. Then, feeling her tongue grace his cheek, his eyes slid sideways to bore into hers, and he murmured in the gentlest of tones, “There’s nothing to be sorry for… there’s no need to apologize, Silenthowl… not now, not anymore.” Nothing could stop himself from loving her, nor keep him from being happy at this very moment. Not the thoughts of isolation or deprivation, nor the knowledge that Silenthowl may have very well done the things that she had said she was sorry for… he was happy all the same. Just to be with her was enough to make it okay. To be with her… It was all he needed. It was all he ever wanted. Nuzzling her fondly, he thought to himself so… this is heaven…

A soft smile dared come to her face at his words. Feeling that happiness that nobody else in the world has made her feel. She let herself be loved for once, and let her love be returned like it has always been...burning for him. Though, it felt good to say sorry...for making him cry...for breaking his heart. For everything. Everything and everyone that she has harmed. She narrowed her eyes to tiny slits before rolling over and pawing at his chest, just like she was a pup again. Cold eyes looked up at him and she just laid there on her back looking up at him. Its hard to tell you what i feel right now...but I could tell you...I have never loved anybody how I love you. She told him in romantic well spoken tones. She sat up again and sat in front of him gazing into his eyes, this timid smile coming to her lips. I love you, Rio....with all my heart, she whispered to him, licking his cheek.

Rio looked down at her familiar features- her eyes; the graceful locks of fur spilling over her delicate frame- and smiled. And when her last words reached his ears, he felt as if he had heard those words for the first time. Softly, he replied, “I love you too, Silenthowl… for ever and oblivion…” And then, all of a sudden, a white blur caught his eye, and with much hesitation, Rio glanced over his shoulder to see who it was. It better not be Verlust…
Thank GoldenWolf that it was not. Instead, the wolf standing behind him was quite obviously a brute, and soft amber eyes that resembled nothing of the wrathful she-wolf’s ruby orbs. It was Hielo, the rogue-gone-mad that had killed Arroyo due to rabies infection. His tail was low, pratically dragging on the ground, and his ears were back. He was staring at Arroyo, having come to inspect the source of chatter that had suddenly sprung up in the land of the dead… in silent search of his sister, Alaskansong. Wherever she is…
Rio raised a brow, both curious and angry with himself for getting distracted by the wolf. “Can I help you?”
The wolf merely shook his head, not raising his eyes.
