"A chance to live? Is that what you would call it? It's suicide, Sancuel, not life! Suicide! Don't you get it? The more I am that loyal wolf I want to be, the closer my own demise will crawl. And I know that maybe I would die for wolves I would come to love, but would I commit suicide for them? Would you kill yourself if you ever found it in you to love someone? Maybe you would, maybe I would, but I don't know if I have it in me to do that. So there it is ;; that is why I am selfish." He didn't look at her, but paws scuffed the dirt a little less carefully, his own internal frustration at himself becoming crystal clear in his posture and movements. "What's the point of even loving them, then, or having them love you back, when in the end, you know it's all just temporary? Wolves who are born and live the way you're supposed to, they have a heaven to spend it in once they kick the bucket. They don't have to leave each other behind for good. And I preach because those who do this thing called life right, they don't care! Like you, you were born, and you sit here thinking life is just something to kick around and mock!"

Sanceul turned her head away, curling her jowls in a scowl at some shadow in the distance. The fae was burning up inside at this fiery argument, and couldn't take much more. I bet I got this temper from Morgan... At that thought, she calmed down almost immediately, the ire suddenly dying from her eyes. But she still managed a frustrated comment. "...too bad we can't switch places, eh?" Shaking herself, the femme stood and swished her tail to one side, glancing over her shoulder at Damien. "Well, then... I better see to meeting an old friend of mine. I'll leave you to your... your..." she turned away, "...well, I'll leave you to whatever you're gonna do." With that said, she padded away, stiff steps indicating a bitter side to her departure.
