Moonwinds nose had lead her here. 'Where is he? I know I smelt him...' she thought sadly. Her tail drooped but she stayed on full alert. This was loner territory anyway, and she didn't plan on getting killed or hurt by the fangs of a loner. Her blue eyes swept around and she smelling sadly for him. "Starkill... where are you?" She whispered and looked at the dawn sky. The sun was just rising above the horizon, and the sky was a blood red.

Being in loner territory irked. But the pair of rabbits clenched between his jaws made the journey worthwhile. Food for the Destinatians was his main priority; help his pack survive. Danny arrived at a small beach, and rested the rabbits beside him. As light ruined the shadows he used to hunt his prey, the strong male prepared to head back. First he headed to the edge of the water, and leaned over to watch his reflection. Fascinating as always, he wasn't sure how- seeing as he couldn't look at his face often- but he knew that was him. Maybe it was the eyes... The reflection distorted as he lapped the water, he was vaguely aware of his shivering limbs, but he ignored the sensation. Had to get back quickly with his catch before non-destinatians tried to steal their food.

Moonwind saw the male, but stayed where she was. She had seen his kills and preferred to avoid a fight, over nothing she couldn't get herself. Her blue eyes watched him. She stood proudly on a small hill, that was now bathed in sun. With the light on her fur she looked like a ghost, with sharp blue eyes.

Once full to the point his teeth ached with the cold water, Danny looked up at the smoke-filled sky. He wished he could grab the substance with his teeth, and tear it into shreds. Growling to himself, Danny then took to surveying the surrounding area. The usually-comforting motion felt useless, he couldn't see past the smoke! A glimmer of white and orange made him jump, instantly thinking FIRE! Danny watched the orange patch a little longer, and noticed it didn't flicker like a flame, and its size remained constant. Baffled, Danny squinted at the white smudge surrounding the orange, moving over to the two cold corpses; crouching protectively over them. "Is that a wolf?" He muttered to himself, taking in the surrounding scents and becoming overpowered with the burnt scenery. Coughing in an effort to clear his lungs, Daniel decided to act on his curiosity. In one fluid movement, he rose his muzzle in the air and howled at the sky.

Moonwind pricked her ears to listen to the wolf. After listening she slide her left hind leg backward till it was straight and liftered her head. Her song was loud calm and charming. She slowly cut off her song then pricked her ears sharply toward the other wolf below the hill. Her sight was hazzy from the smoke, but she could see fairly well. Her hill was slightly above the low smoke.

So it was a wolf, how unusual. Probably a non-Destination, he was sure he would notice if someone with fur like that was part of the pack. Double taking, Daniel realised that such fur shouldn't be wanted for in the wild hunters world. Even if she'd come from the arctic where her white would fit in, the orange flare on her chest would frighten any animal who didn't want their hides burnt. As for here, she stuck out like a sore thumb in the dark smoke. Danny puffed up his mottled fur, he had the proper fur for hunting in wooded areas. Satisfied that he had already picked up an advantage on his side, Danny shook his whole fur, even though only his muzzle was wet, cutting off the howl. The lake's cold surface had made him more visible, and being on lower ground of course- he didn't like knowing that wolf most likely had a better view. If her colour had been darker, he could have been there for ages and not caught a glimpse. One way to change that. Danny picked up the rabbits again, not wanting to seperate himself from the precious prey, and trotted up the hill. Whilst he kept his stride loose-legged, his ears were perked up, giving him an audial map of his surroundings as he approached.

She pricked her ears at his appoch and stood calmly, but deep in her she was read for a fight. She knew if she staied calm and didn't try to take anything he had there would probaly not be a fiight. She stood with her tail in a calm and loose way, as not to anger the male coming her way. 'I wonder what pack this male is from,' SDhe pricked her ears higher and waited for him to come closer.

Danny dropped the rabbits again, just a little way off from his target. Now he could see her better, he nodded once in appreciation that this wasn't a weakling wolf despite its unfortunate colouring. She was certainly a wolf to watch cautiously until he knew her better, for all Daniel knew, she was as crazy as a rabid squirrel. The dark wolf stepped over the rabbits, and leaned his muzzle forward, scenting the air. He picked her scent out of the burnt-smell, she was a Sheeran. The pack who had exiled some wolf or other last gathering. Not very comforting, Danny had little to do with non-Destinatians. He didn't really avoid them, and didn't search them out, non-Destinatians were like a different species to him. Only one pack was the best, and he knew which one he voted for. "Hello there" He rumbled in a low voice that was brushing to a friendly growl. He lifted his tail half-way, closer to dominance that subordanance, no non-Destination would make him bow, and he was making that clear. He didn't care much if Moonwind didn't submit, just so long as she didn't try to make him do the vice versa.

She looked closely at the male and smiled. 'He must be a proud wolf. I have to make sure I don't push him.' She thought this silently and lifted her tail to match his perfectly. HSe looked him over, and saw the mucles under the fur. SHe twiched her ear at his words. "Hello." She spoke in a voice that was attempiting to be nice and yet protective. She would not back down from and wolf, even if the wolf was a male almost twice her size. She flashed him a kind smiles and looked around quickly. Something felt wrong, 'but what is it?' She shook it off and turned her coll blue orbs back to him.

Danny's ears twitched slightly, the movement barely decipherable. Her looking around made his nerves twitch; A backup party here to ambush him? After all, it was unusual to find pack wolves in loner territory, he only began to question why she was here now. Danny arched his back up to stretch his muscles; get them ready. He could have just asked what was bothering her, but by the time he thought of doing the simple thing, the time to comment on it had passed. The wolf didn't want to sound stupid, especially not to a non-Destinatian. "I'm Danny" He introduced, inclining his head down slightly, but rising quickly. Not too much, but not unduly rude either. As for returning her smile, well his half-grin would do nicely.

She looked at him as he streached and smiled cooly,"My name is Moonwind and I am here alone I promise." She looked at him wondering why he was here. She looked at the rabbits a little way off, then noticed his dip of the head. She copied him but moved a little slowly and a little more relaxed. She wanted him to see she wouldn't hold or push him into anything of submision. There was that prickiling in her fur agian, 'What the...' She looked around slowly and turned half her attiention onto him the rest on high alert. Something or someone is out there.

Danny couldn't feel whatever is was that bugged Moonwind, but he was picking up her her anxiety. Promises, promises, how could I expect to trust a non-Destinatian promise? He thought, one paw brushing against the rabbits to re-assure himself they were still there. With the rising sun, the smoke was slowly morphing into a brilliant shade of red, that maybe some found beautiful, but it just made him edgy. The smoke... It was wrong, it shouldn't be here. Unable to help himself, Danny fully perked his ears, twisting them one way and another. What could be making her nervous? He obviously hadn't ruffled her much, and if he didn't, he hated to think about what would make her nervous. Maybe another wolf, someone she recognises, a packmate perhaps... A sibling... A lover... Someone close could have this impact. Once again, unable to help what his instincts wanted him to do, Danny raised the question "Whats bothering you?" His voice slightly less growling than before, but only because the more he growled, the further his words could carry.

She saw him prick his ears and look at her. Then his words showed he did not know what or that something was out there. She rolled her shoulders to losen up."I think there is something watching us. I know that sounds wierd but I can't helpp this feeling." She whispered then suddenly she stiffened. 'The wind...' She thought silently as it stared to pick up. Her fur ruffled. 'Nothing was watching them it was... storm!' She turned to him and barked quickly barely hiding the whimper that was growing with in her, "We have to find some shelter now! There is a storm coming." She looked around and say the clouds were forming in the dictance, they had to move now.

Danny relaxed at the mention of a storm. It wasn't that he though he could take a storm on, he just decided in a split second that a storm would clear the dratted mist, then everything could go back to normal and he wouldn't have to defile himself by hunting in Loner lands. Of course, he stopped just short from jumping for joy. To smell rain and fresh earth again would be a treat. Opposite to Moonwind's panicked state, Danny took a few steps back so he could pick up the rabbits again. Though he though the storm would make everything better again, it was better to keep hold of the rabbits. And anyway, he didn't want some strange non-Destinatian finding the rabbits and eating the kill he had spent time and energy on. Once he had a good grip on the rabbits, he looked at Moonwind, and held his posture ready. She would be better at finding a hiding place he was sure, she wanted to get cover more than he did, so it made sense she would be more alert to openings in the ground.

She looked at him wondering if he could not feel the por of the storm growing in the air. She pricked her ears and tasted the air. 'Nothing.' She thought and started to walk toward a cliff. She looked back at the male not rlly wored if he followed or not. It was his life not hers.
