Maya hick-uped. She had no clue what was happening to her but it was one of those worse things that she had ever. The pup hick-uped again. She looked around in the nursery and noticed it was barely sunrise. Not many wolves were away, or at least not that she know of anyways. She walked toward the outside of the nusery and looked outside of it. Again, no one wasn't really awake so she went back toward her little spot near her brothers and sisters, and then hick-uped again.
When will this end? She thought to herself. It was really getting on her nerves but she didn't want to wake anyone up because she had the hick-ups. Maya didn't know it was called though.

Natoma blinked, awoken from her slumber by a sharp hick! She nearly jumped out of her fur when the same sound echoed once more through the nursery. Leaping to her paws, she swiveled around to discover her sister. Ahh... it's only Maya... And then the sound occured again. Natoma tilted her head to one side, confused. "Huh? What are you doing? What's that noise?"

Maya turned around and saw someone so she walked toward the figure. "Sorry, I hick-up don't hick-up know," She said after two hick-ups. "Did I hick-up wake you? Sorry. hick-up" The pup appologized to her. She really had no clue what was happening right now but it was still annoying. Maya just sat down. "hick-upSo what's your hick-up name?" Another question came to mind. She still didn't know much about the other wolves because she was quiet and doesn't explore much.

"...huh?" Natoma glanced down, realizing that she was in the shadows, and stepped into the pale, barely-morning light. "It's me-- Natoma. Your sister, silly." She tilted her head to one side. "...but that's strange... you can't stop making that noise? You could try, umm... holding your breath or something..." The pup shrugged, at a loss for what to do.

Maya tilited her head and then remembered. "Oh my hick-up gosh, I'm sorry. I woke up too. hick-up This thing might be a hick-up side effect," She replied. "My bad though, still hick-up sleepy." Holding my breath? "But for hick-up how long?" questions came to her. No answer was really a time for her so she just hick-uped and then hold her breath.
Can't breathe!!!!!

Natoma widened her eyes, watching her sister keep down the air that was trying to force its way out. She padded closer to Maya and sat down beside her, watching her with perked ears. "...hmmm... feel better yet?"

Maya hick-uped again and releasing the breath that she was holding. Now breathing deeply she says, "Nope, that doesn't work. hick-up." She thought for a moment. That scared her and she doesn't want it anymore. Can't figure out what to do with thing disease. It's annoying and it has been buggin her. WHY WONT IT GO AWAY!!!!!!!? [/blockquote]

Natoma bit down softly on her tongue, curling her tail in thought. "...hmmm... where is it coming from? Your belly? Your chest?" She reached out a paw and poked Maya's arm, narrowing her eyes as she "inspected" her sister. "...you didn't eat a frog on accident, did you?" It sounds kind of like a frog...

Maya thought for a moment, purposely letting a hick-up go though her body. "From what hick-up looks of it. hick-up. It's from my belly," She quickly explained. Another hick-up came by. "NO!" She growled. "Sorry. hick-up I didn't." the pup appologized for the growling. It all had to do with this. And she has no clue what it was!

Natoma shrugged. "Just checking." She then crouched in front of Maya, staring at her sister's stomach while her tail swished back and forth across the floor. She reached forward and pushed on Maya's stomach with her small, wet nose. "There must be something inside there that's making all this noise..." Natoma murmured. "Maybe you could drown it with water?" She glanced over her shoulder and peered outside, where the sun had still barely reached over the horizon. But there was still enough light to navigate to a stream if they tried...

Maya shruged. "I thought that we are trying to get rid of thishick-up, not make myself drown hick-up with something I lovehick-up the most," She said. The pup loves the water and she loves swimming in it. It was one of the most funnest thing that she likes to do. Swim and splash the water. Not drown in it. Plus she hates that feeling. Almost did it once, but she lived.

Natoma shook her head. "No, no! Not drown you, drown it! All you need to do is drink some water... maybe we can drown the thing inside you and make it stop talking."It was pure pup logic, really. But then again, she was a pup. It made perfect sense to her. ( )

Maya nodded. "Ohh I- hick-up get it hick-up now," She replied. Drowning the what-ever-it-was so she can talk and now it. It was barely sunrise so maybe, but most likely not. Hopefully mommy would understand the case here with this sickness. "Should we leave now before hick-up the sickness spreads hick-up?" Maya asked.

Natoma hesitated for a moment, her heart dropping as she remembered what happened to their brother the last time they had ventured from the den... but shook it away. As far as the two pups were concerned, Maya was horribly ill. I must help her! "Yes, of course-- and we gotta do this quick, before anyone can notice and get worried." Glancing over her shoulder, she nodded toward the rear of the den and to the spot where the pups had dug out and escaped once before. "A quick dig there, and we could find a little stream and test it out!" She moved forward to put her words to action, digging at the shallow edge of the nursery wall.

Maya hick-uped again and followed her sister to the wall. "Wait, which wall is hick-up this one?" She asked with another hick-up. She didn't want what happened to their brother happen again to either one of them just because of this sickness. Plus no one couldn't get her sickness. hick-up! Another one came to her.
