Flisk sighed, shook his head, and stretched. He watched Trianna rant more, but was getting bored of it. Where was her usual pretty self? Covered up in this mess of anger? He licked his nose and padded up to her. His eyes winked slightly as she snuffled some snow toward her. It flew and landed on her pelt.
"Wanna return fire?"
He chuckled and kicked some snow toward her with his back legs. Flisk didn't care about the RET. He didn't care at all. He knew and believed and that was enough. Now he wanted to have some fun.

Trianna was calming now, a lazy river, a slow lulling pond. She blinked about her, finding the damp and white environment not only inducing her irritability, but down right bland and tasteless. Boredom struck her again, with a slight, yet half-hearted surprise that Flisk had failed to alleviate her lethargy. She padded a few pawsteps away, quite fine with leaving the male there alone, when a small, daring smile crept across her maw in stealth. A genuine smile -- nothing that showed itself on Tria's features anywhere near often. She barely recognized the oddity, but turned to bark a rough goodbye to Flisk and--- SLOSH. The smile was gone in an instanc, dumbedfounded and swiped away by the sudden cloud of cold white that seemed to suction her herface. Raising a paw daintily, she brush the veil away, shivering at it plastered and dampened her face. Blinking rapidly, her eyes locked on Flisk's dark form once more, still wearing shock like a red banner. "...." She narrowed her eyes to mischeif-lorn slits, a tinkling laugh cascading from her throat. "Oh, so you want to play it that way, eh? Let's dance, Fliskers!" She twirled about and darted as a flash of fur into a wide-arc launch, rocketing into Flisk's stomach with a growl of erractic ecstacy. A playfight, sparking this much joy in a surly grump of a female? A shower of sugary-white flakes drifted over the muffled pile.

Flisk wondered silently to himself as he watched the snow hit his love. Would Trianna snarl and stalk away, or would she push some back. He got his answer when a big ball of wet, white snow muffled his cry of surprise. She shook his head and blinked the melting water out of his eyes before playfully shoving more back.
But as he moved his nose he got a perfect idea. As he shoved the snow upward he jumped. His body started to plummet straight for Trianna. Would he make her fall and call dominance, or be impressed all over again if she dodged it blinded by snow.

Trianna darted from Flisk the moment her ears caught his snow-dulled cry of surprise. She shook herself free from their prison of powder, then turned to see there was a return attack falling over her. Umbrella-like, the snow was about to cascade down, but Flisk's dark shape was now leaping with it. Her eyes widened, not expecting the sudden move. She neatly side-stepped the dark, flying figure. However, the pile of snow still clouted her roughly over the head -- she'd avoided the main threat, (Though if he had a lighter pelt I probably wouldn't have...) but had not stepped out of the attack's complete limits. Tria tripped as it weighted down on her, but stood up and shook herself a few seconds later, a tilted brow whirling around to meet Flisk. "That was good, but did you ever consider how much you stand out against the snow?" she woofed, smiling slightly.

Flisk winked at Trianna as she avoided him and he neatly landed on his paws into a pile of snow. He shook some clumps off his totally black fur and grinned, shaking the moistness off his pelt, dampening Trianna. The funny feeling in his stomach was wanting to break out and he swallowed as he smiled at her and replyed.
"Well maybe you should help me."
He layed down in the snow and beckoned her with an awkward move of his right paw. Laying on his back with all legs up he spoke.
"Bury me."

Trianna watched him with a critical gaze, snickering at his comical performance of laying down in the cold muck. She padded over to him and looked over him with an inspective gaze, rolling her eyes at his demand. "Bury you, hm?" A sly smile glided across her maw. "All right then, I guess I cannot argue with an outright command, now, can I?" She padded away but a few tail lengths, sniffing at the base of the log she had previously sat on. Pushing away the light fluff at the edges of the log, she uncovered last season's layer of half-decayed leaves, as well as a thick caking of mud and muck. Grinning widely, she pawed up a few scoops of the mixture, and flung it with direct precision at Flisk. She laughed softly, eyes flickering with triumph. "You said bury you, but you never specified what I was to bury you with," she commented, her signature fliar of snark brushed dutifully over her every word.

Flisk laughed as he sat with his eyes closed, but before he knew it he was covered with a slimy mixture of mud and nasty decayed leaves. The smell was unbearable and he gagged while he stood up and tried to shake it off. It didn't budge. He grinned at Trianna.
"Ok...fine. Have it your way."
Coming up to her, he rubbed all over her pelt, covering her with the same stuff that was on him. He laughed and playfully nipped at her tail, obviously flirting. Before he knew it he was flirting like mad and he couldn't stop now...could he?

Trianna laughed as he stood up and attempted to shake off the aged and flithy casing she had left him in, deeply amused and not suspecting a new sort of return attack to parry the blow she had left him with. His ebony fur rubbed against her dark and light hues of gray -- smearing the muck and murk against her own pelt. She, too, was covered in no time at all. Her laughter subsided, and a smirk planted itself wittily on her features. Flisk continued on, adding a playful nip to her tail. Okay, this guy is flirting with me so freaking much that I'm almost choking on it. What, does he think I like him now or something? Trianna shrugged out of their close proximity, putting a foot or so between them. She rolled her eyes and snapped, "Control your hormones, Flisk, or I'm outta here." A sharp warning, and maybe a mood-ruiner, but better than some of the things I could've said that would've sent him away with his tail between his legs....

Flisk twisted his face, clearly mocking her. He grinned cheekily and if he was a human, he would have blushed. Looking down, he curled his lip and acted as if he were upset with her. Raising his head, he spoke a little loud, but that was his way of talking to other wolves.
"My hormones? You know your flirting back."
He grinned and wagged his tail, then lifted his brow slyly.

Trianna looked on with silent pleasure as she watched the montage of emotions play across Flisk's face -- his reaction was not exactly what she anticipated, but she found herself enjoying it all the more in despite the fact. He was cheeky, clearly, but she'd given him something to think about, and definitly a small blow to his self-confidence, if nothing else. "I wouldn't know, Flisk, I've never really seen you, ya know, with your big fat ego in the way," she grinned widely, eyes glittering mischeivously. Heh. Hell, today actually wasn't too terrible with this little thing here keeping me entertained. "Eh. You're bearable. Entertaining in your own idiocy. If I did happen to flirt with you, Flisk, know that I must be ridiculously bored and depressed with life," she woofed in a matter-of-fact tone. Depressed and bored with life...yeah, I guess that basically covers it. Dear Lupus, please tell me I DID NOT flirt with him...

Flisk's grin was wiped from his face. Bored with her life? His ears drooped and his lip curled a little before he stared hard at her and shook himself, no intention to even let the dirt touch her. He shook his head sadly and slunk off, growling curses at Trianna. How could she? He thought that they had actually had fun, then that stupid vicious Trianna personality had to interfere. He curled his lip and sat at the fresh kill pile, picking a scrawny rabbit and ripping it up in his teeth as he chewed.

((NOW I HAVE IDEAS!!! )) She gets what she wants... (and she breaks what she gets)Trianna watched with a blank stare as Flisk turned away from her. A bit surprised, maybe -- a bitter wave of resignation and disappointment flooding her. An ashen taste was left on her tongue, as if she'd scalded it. She swallowed hard and eyed the place where Flisk now lay, moodily tearing into his meal, with the same, idle blankness. Now what? Now I've crushed him, now what? She winced deeply, settling down on a frosted stone and resuming into her state of expressionless being. In theory, she should be walking away right now. That was Trianna, for you. She didn't need friends. She had a large enough family, which, most of the time, irritated the hell out of her anyway. And they'd only brought her suffering when they departed far too soon. She didn't need them. She didn't need anything but the air around her and lupine instinct rushing her veins. Why should she, in any way, feel obligated to give a damn about whether or not this Flisk character was hurting? She was a wolf, and wolves were both ornate and simplistic. She was a wolf, why did she need companionship? Not just a wolf....a pack wolf. And you, m'dear, are not a very good packwolf. Grumbling furiously at herself, she slunk towards the prey pile and selected a small snowshoe for herself. Without even instructing her paws, they carried her to the place besides Flisk, and there she sat, gnawing on the rabbit's leg while her mind descended into a war of thought. "Sorry. I guess that was a bit harsh. I had fun. Really."...get out while you can. (or she'll tear you to pieces)

Another beating heart... (Thats what he wanted)Flisk payed no attention to anything around him. His first attempt to make a friend/mate had failed, and he was now beside himself with sadness. I'll NEVER EVER EVER talk again! EVER! His teeth crunched through bone and he grumbled. Looking down, he took another bite of the rabbit and swallowed quietly. Everything was a quiet murmur of blankness. Flisk was now again a shadow to everything around him. He did not talk, and did not like to come out often, but he had to eventually. Another crunch sounded, though this time it was not the bone. The sound of a pawstepes sounded. The smell of Trianna wafted into his nostrils and he watched her out of the corner of his eye. She took his place next to him. As she spoke Flisk was numbed. He did not speak back, but a flicker of recognition crossed them. He finished his rabbit and quietly got up. A sorry didn't cut it for the one who broke his heart. ...a cruel joke (Thats what he got)

I've got no place in my heart...Trianna finished her rabbit quietly, not speaking again nor looking at Flisk. Instead, her stare remained projected dimly on the space in front of her, where her meal lay to be devoured. She flicked her tongue once across her trained fangs, then stood as Flisk did. Her eyes wandered aimlessly for a moment, then, in resolution, their amber depths pierced Flisks'. "Listen, Flisk, I know that sounds like a damn shitty apology, but it's the only one that's ever come from me. I don't say sorry, and I just did. So if that's not good enough, okay. I did just fine before, without friends, I can do it again, but I had fun, which is something I don't typically have. That's the point, then, isn't it? I was bored. You changed that." She hesitated a moment, then added, "I think that last part totally ruined the whole thing. Ah, well, it is what it is. And I am what I am. A loner at heart."Tria turned away from him then, the hard, outer composure of her gaze falling, and her eyes were banished, dejectedly, to her pawsteps. She slunk away back towards the place they'd both talked moments before, then resumed her former place upon the hollow log, eyes sweeping the dirt. Her stomach was in knots, a cold sweat watered her skin, growing slightly feverish under her dense winter pelt. She sighed half-heartedly, just sitting there in uncertainty of what to do with herself; Disappointment and even twinges of regret stabbed her fitfully as foreign substances. ...for a criminal like you to dwell in.

You don't understand...Flisk swallowed, a hard lump forming in his throat. He felt like he was going to throw up and licked his lips as Trianna apologized. It was a heck of an apology for Trianna too. Before Flisk could say something, Trianna had walked away. He listened to her pawsteps and as the snow fell in flurries. It was like she had left him in the rain, but it was frozen. What had been romantic turned to a fight. And Flisk felt torn. He licked his lips and watched Trianna walk away, scoring a glimpse of her tail swiping into the hollow log. He turned away, only to bring his gaze back to her log. This had to happen. With his stomach in knots, he slowly paced over to the open log and peeked his head in. Clearing his throat, he snuffled and spoke. "Listen Trianna...I know you. I know you said those things...because...your Trianna." He grinned at this, but let his gaze falter into a serious expression again. "I know there must be something special between us, whether its friendship or love, that I myself don't want to lose. So..." Flisk's voice trailed off and he stood there, waiting patiently for an answer. ...that I can't live without you.
