Hysteric laughter gripped and jostled the young wolf, and as Chicken Muffin backed away, cursing him, his pinwheeling paws were forced to a stop, and he fell backwards into a tall drift, forest ringing with his bellows of triumph. He kicked up his back paws to set himself straight, then licked the snow that had piled on the tip of his black nose, leaving the rest to decorate his coat with fresh, brimming white powder. His eyes gleamed merrily from behind the powdered painting, a wide grin breaking freely out across his maw. "Betchya didn't see that one coming, eh? A bit more complicated to make a Snow Muffin, I suppose -- Snow Kippys tend to fall right into the drifts if you just make them laugh!" He crouched, eyes blinking with mischeif. "Hmm, cheating, am I? Well then, fair Madame, would you please be so kind as to inform me of the rules?"

Chicken Muffin shook again, irritated by the stubborn bits of ice clinging grimly onto her fur. "Its no fun making a Snow Kipper if it does all the work" She mumbled, pointedly ignoring Kippy's question about rules. However she still felt like he'd cheated and wouldn't admit it was because he'd caught her offguard with such a simple trick. Nuh-uh, no way would she admit such defeat.

I've been around the world... (and back again,)Kippy raised a brow at this, "All the work, eh? You're right, I should make this much, much harder for you. It's no fun being a Snow Kipper if I'm self-sufficient -- heck, that's almost as bad as being a planty thing or something!" He grinned up at her playfully, crouching low and swooshing his tail high in the air. He sprang up suddenly, as if his paws were on springs, then turned and darted a few feet away, making great crunched in the snow as he went. He broke into a short sprint, then whirled around to watch what she would do. "Catch me if ya can, Snow Muffin!!" He howled daringly. ...From Japan to Amsterdam, gonna take it in my hands (singin' catch me if you can, catch, catch me if you can.)

Muffin, who had stood with an expression of fake angst since last speaking, was not in the mood to let a challenge slip by, broke off into her own sprint. A string of sharp barks warning Kippy she meant to catch him if she could. Her eyes narrowed into slits against the falling snow, whilst her legs struggled to lift above their normal height in each step to accomodate the snow's level. "Keep away if you can!" She yelled back, pushing herself harder.

Kippy looked on at Chicken Snow Muffin as she sprinted with some delay -- source being the thick dollops of snow. With every dart she simed towards him, he took one of mirror image backwards, away from her, so that the space between them was minimized only minutely. Kippy's wide grin never faltered. Haha! I guess I've finally got her here, haven't I? A proud air of triumph soared in his veins. The male turned away from her and pelted through the drifts, white powder dusting him as he went -- much slower than usual, for the snow was not only an inhibitor to Chicken Muffin. He spun around again, as he had previously, gloating with his brown-russet fur fluffed up and tail poofed high. "If I can? But Chicken Muffin, I already have!" With a sudden burst of hyper-adrenaline impulse, he threw his head back and laughed an echoing howl-bark of giddy success. Can't catch me now!

"Oh yeah?" Chicken Muffin snarled good naturedly, putting on a sprint when Kippy stopped to gloat. She wasn't done yet, oh no, it had been a long time since she'd done anything so fun. Not that she did all that much to attract fun... Someone spoke too soon. She thought smugly, trying to sprint faster but unable. Counting the steps until she could pounce, Muffin waited until the right moment with the experience of two years practise before pushing hard against the flimsy snow and hurtling herself at Kippy.
