Eurasia slowly peered into Yago's den nervously. "Yago? I mean... Do I have the permission to speak to you with..." No one was there. Her den was empty. Maybe she was hunting, or... Eurasia was so nervous she couldn't think straight. What would happen? Would Yago refuse to let this outsider be trusted with all that was needed for a healthy Pack? Or would she take her in willingly, having sympathy for her mistreatment back at her old campsite. Really, all that mattered now was that Eurasia had a home. She was gald she could have the chance to do what she loved. Heal wolves and make friends. Eurasia laid down near the entrance to the alphaness' cave proudly, raising her head with dignity. She looked up warily, letting the fur on her back lay flat. Whatever happens, I just want you with me. She spoke gazing to the sky. (Still waiting for a response from Yago! )

"Boo!" barked Yago, laughing on the inside. A smirk appeared on her face as she examined the stranger. "What's someone like you doing here so deep in pack territory. Ya, know, if you're a threat I can easily call the entire pack to come help fight." She became serious now, slightly crouching down and glaring at the stranger. She bared her teeth into a silent snarl.

Eurasia jumped nearly three feet in the air. "Really, I mean no threat! I, I took note of your Pack being without an herb healer, and I came to ask for you permission as that role. I love to heal and..." Yago's silent gaze was enough to make Eurasia shut up. Still, Eurasia held the gaze to prove her self worthy of being strong and not vulnerable. Clearly she wasn't, for her muscles were pounding and ears twitched forward with guard. Eurasia stayed calm, and continued her sentence. "Your alphaness, I wish not to be a threat to this lovely Pack. I come form a short pace away, and I was driven out from my old home. I ask you to take me hospitably and accept me as your Herb Healer. If that is too much to ask then I will leave." Eurasia held her head high, remaining cool through every hostile glance the leader threw at her. Finally, after no response, Eurasia trotted away, but praying for some voice to come out of the well guarded leader to stop her and accept her. Slower, slower. Eurasia just stopped, hanging on a few non-existant words.

Yago gasped at the stranger's word. She's watched many ways Alphas handled things, but she never suspected something like this would happen. She clenched her teeth, fighting back a growl. We're not desperate. I'm not going to let some loner become a Healer. But I can sense truth in their words. I know they won't abandon the pack in anyway, but... She stood straight up now and stared into the wolf's eyes. "Tell me, what is your name?"

Eurasia's heart leaped. She held back a friendly smirk while her back was still turned, and slowly rotated so she could face the powerful wolf. "Eurasia." She replied cooly. Eurasia slowly grazed Yago with her eyes. For nearly her whole life of living by these wolves she had studied their behavior, and she was daring to talk to the wolf again. At this point, Eurasia felt powerful, and all signs of dis-belief flew away to the wind. "I noticed your Pack is misunderstood. I don't mean to make you look like a fool..." Eurasia became silent. The leader had raised her head, erasing almost all hostility, and seemed more curious and interested than angry. Now her heart was nearly in her throat, and Eurasia held back pitiful whimpers of joy. She tried to keep a good posture, still holding that powerful gaze, and never loosing the sight of those respected eyes. Every second they stared back at each other seemed like an hour, and before long Eurasia's tail was twitching with anticipation. Come on, come on! Her mind raced with anxiety.

"No, no. It's okay. I can tell how much you want this position and I'm sure my pack will see the truth in your eyes. And if they don't..." Yago started to snarl again. "...they will have to hear the truth from my fangs then. Now, Eurasia the Herb Healer...your neophyte is Lilly Pad. The next meeting I will be sure to announce you to the pack no matter who disagrees with me." She smiled now, all signs of hostility gone now.

Eurasia smiled back at the understanding wolf. Ecept one thing she never realized. Yago had said 'other wolves' yet all the clearing she stood in was empty. "Thank you, so much. Only, when is the next meeting? And, do you mind allowing someone to show me around, maybe, who was it? Lilly Pad? What do you mean neophyte? And..." Eurasia hesitated to ask more questrions. If she continued the alpha could easily cahnge her mind. Still, Eurasia was eager to learn more of the Pack. She was desperate to explore the territory. All she really wanted to do though, was go to work, and maybe even take a nap. Or meet the 'other wolves' of the Sheeran Pack. While she stood with Yago, mind racing, a strange wolf strolled up to them, one she had seen very little. The wolf growled.
Moonset stared, snarling at the wolf she had seen at the border lines before. This queer wolf was only cuasing trouble to Moonset, always waiting at teh border, just staring at the land beyond. The wolf had often trespassed to Hot Springs, when Moonset was forced to chase her away. "What is this loner doing here?" Moonset questioned her leader, Yago.

Yago sighed. "There's always someone who has to get in my business. Ahem, she's not a loner anymore, she's our new herb healer. You better show her respect 'cause she'll be taking care of you if you get hurt or sick or something..." She smiled now, ignoring Moonset. "Anyways, our next meeting will be soon, probably only two days from now." Hopefully everyone gathers this time. "Yes, Lilly Pad will show you around. She's been wanting a mentor since our old one...died...So basically a neophyte is an apprentice that is trained by a mentor who is a professional in what they do."

Eurasia smiled delighted. The word professional, and mentor, just made her want to scream with joy. The hazel colored wolf still glared at her with hostility, giving Eurasia a chill. Right now though, Eurasia was eager. After the next meeting, she would be introduced, showed around, and be able to pass on her expert skills to a, what's-it's-called, neophyte. "Thank you! So much!" Eurasia wagged her tail, and nearly turned away to her old home. She blushed on the inside, still unaware of where her new home was. "Yago, where do I live?" Eurasia questioned. Still, she felt like she knew already. "Do I sleep there?" Eurasia flicked her tail to a small cavern, in which a young wolf lay sleepily. Maybe it was Lilly Pad...

Yago nodded. "Yes, erm, I better get a move on. I think someone needs me." She stood straighter now with her ears pricked. Her eyes stared into the forest and her claws scratched at the ground.
